3 out of 5 eggsNice, but.

Pros: With the ATI Catalyst Control Center, you have pretty good control over your monitor/video settings.

Cons: I'm running two 24" Dell's at 1920 x 1200 and my screen redraws aren't as fast as I think they should be for a card in this price range. I also get a brief flicker in one monitor when I'm in max resolution. Very weird, because I've timed it, and it occurs every 4 minutes. I've tried everything to hunt down the cause, and I've tried everything ATI tech suggests, but we couldn't fix the problem. I've owned this for over a year, and the flcker is still happening. I just live with it.

3 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: Fast, Maya runs smooth now.

Cons: Cost is way to high, the v3600 outperforms this! why? because its using the ring-bus which is a whole lot faster. may not be for games but it does for 3d apps.

Other Thoughts: for comparison, the V3600=2600xt(R630) and this is a 1900xt(R580), you think well for gaming this will be alot faster, but no one games on these cards and UT3 runs just fine on max settings 1400x900 but i'm using it to test out the levels i made not to play for fun. this card is way to over priced get a V3600 and it will outperform this in maya!

2 out of 5 eggs$$$$$$$ ??

Pros: 1GB of GDDR3 RAM

Cons: Why on Earth would anyone who is buying a new video card get one that is not DirectX 10 supported? Even if you do not yet have Vista or do not have plans to get Vista yet, get a DirectX 10 supported card, IMO.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's good but not worth the price

Pros: good color detail, and tone, cheaper than most, and easier on powersupply

Cons: can't hold up in crossfire mode to single card nVidias, or 3dLabs. Single card config too slow for true professional use. Bogs down in Vista Ultimate Ed.

Other Thoughts: A good card from Ati. But falls leagues short of it's rivals.

5 out of 5 eggsHDCP!!!

Pros: 1GB of GRAM.

Cons: Highly overpriced if it's not used for a workstation. If you're going to be using it for games, it's about as powerful as an X1800XT. But if you jut\st HAVE to have HDCP AND performance, it's your only option.

Other Thoughts: ASUS is making a 7600GS with HDCP. That will be much less expensive, and play games okay, but nothing compared to this. By the time Vista is out, we'll have a whole enw line of D3D10 cards, and I'm guessing they'll all have HDCP and be made for desktops. Wait.
