5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for your buck

Pros: Play any game on the market for the next year or three. Any game out right now runs perfect at maxed out settings. For the price, this card will last a long time beofre you need to upgrade.

Cons: Bulky, runs hot, takes extra power.

Other Thoughts: I have built a few systems using this card. Everyone that has one of those systems was in awe at the graphic capability.

5 out of 5 eggsStill lovin' this card

Pros: It is still a super fast single card. It blows away the X1950Pro that I have in one of my other machines on 3DMark 06. It is still the only card with GDDR-4 and well worth the price, which hasn't changed much in the 6 months that I have owned this cards.

Cons: Runs pretty hot even at default clock settings.

Other Thoughts: I like the way that ATI cards render things better than I do nVidia. I think they are sharper and more realistic. ATI's support could use a little work. They are a little slow at answering tickets submitted on their website.

1 out of 5 eggsNot what it says it is

Pros: You cannot have a like for something that is not what it says it is. What I got is not what I ordered.

Cons: When you get this card make sure that it has VIVO. The one I received does not. Look at the picture & the cables. The box even states it has Composite & S-Video cables and does not. This is too much money to just let this go.

Other Thoughts: New Egg must make this right for everyone that ordered this item because I am working with AMD/ATI and it appears they will not. Besides all this I bought this so that I could do the VIVO stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: This card is excellent. I run all the latest games on the best settings. This card does tend to get hot, but I have had this card for 5 1/2 months now, and my pc has never crashed from this thing getting too hot.

Cons: Gets a little hot. Gets me worried at times, but other then that, none.

Other Thoughts: Running the following system: e6700 Dual Core, 74gb Raptor, 600w Enermax PSU, ATI radeon 1950XTX, X-Fi XtremeMusic, P5N32 Sli-SE Deluxe Mobo, 2gb Mushkin RAM. RUNS FLAWLESS

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with this one!

Pros: Rendering at its best! I cant wait to see their answer to the DX10 competition. DDR4 makes it a fast, formidable competitor.

Cons: Well I guess that its not a DX10 card, but thats about it.

Other Thoughts: I have been a long-time ATI customer. In my personal opinion they make very nice vid cards.

5 out of 5 eggsbest dx9 card

Pros: everything. if you cant wait and need a upgrade get this card if u can afford, but if u wanna wait a couple of months for a good dx10 then wait for ati's card.

Cons: none, prices went down alot when i bought it :(

Other Thoughts: people flaming this card about how it sucks compared to a 8800 is stupid, no s*** ur comparing a dx9 to a dx10, when ati comes out with its dx10 its going to be 10 times more beastly Nvs. compared to the ati dx10, the 8800 is a joke

4 out of 5 eggsGood card; poor drivers

Pros: Great graphics, typical ATI quality and compatibility; lots of ram; cooling system exhausts through PCI slot; support people answer phone and speak English.

Cons: Flaky driver issues (black screen of death) on some new systems going back to December '06 as yet unresolved by ATI; card uses space of two slots and power hungry.

Other Thoughts: ATI has been aware of glaring driver issues with this product since late last year; had I not found a fix for BSOD at abxzone.com I would have returned mine for refund.

5 out of 5 eggsForget about games

Pros: The only computer game I play is solitaire. Instead, I maintain a basement of dedicated machines running Stanford's Folding At Home and one box with a pair of these and a decent C2D CPU are pumping out results (and points) like there's no tomorrow.

Everyone else will tell you how they do with games but, if you're in it for science, these cards are the price/performance sweet-spot now and for the immediate future.

Cons: Size and power demands are downright silly.
