5 out of 5 eggsSaved a desktop with this!

Pros: The built-in motherboard video on a client's critical system decided to up & tank..and after the warranty expired. Computer did not come with a full PCI-E x16/8 slots! Using this card was an excellent solution to get the system up & running again quickly. Been running great ever since!

Cons: A little pricey, but it was worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent card, tricky install on Win7

Pros: Nice display, works perfectly with the two Dell wide screens I have. Added into a system with a 23" main to give me three.

Cons: Difficult installation on Windows 7 64 bit (home). The drivers that come with it are for Vista, and the AMD/ATI site didn't have clear links to the right ones. Loads of errors (including a disabled main display card) until I finally tracked down the proper drivers and told Windows where to look for them though "update drivers".
Another oddity is the "identify" button in the Catalyst application. Labels them 1,2 and 3 (1 is main, 2/3 the ones on this card). If I have 3 on the right in that app, it's actually on the left in reality. Odd stuff, but simple to work around.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked after downloading the new version of the ATI Catalyst Control Center.

Cons: When I installed the drivers that came with the product I lost the picture on all 3 of my monitors and could no longer boot into Windows 7, had to do a recovery reboot to get back in. I was happy that it did eventually work.

Other Thoughts: I purchased the x1 version of this card because my x16 slot was already being used by my main graphics card. I can attest to the fact that with a little finagling this card is able to work effectively with windows 7 x64 and an ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card So Far

Pros: Small form factor, no fan noise, great 2D desktop scores

Cons: Not cheap, not really designed for 3D performance, limited to two DVI-D connections

Other Thoughts: Works very well in my Dell PowerEdge T105 for business apps...this is the fourth card I tried. Liked the performance of the HIS Radeon 4350, but the fan was way too loud for non-server room installation.
