Two Thumbs Down!
Cons: It crashed my system! ATI support said my ASRock 880 GMH mobo wasn't capable. Did all the unstalling of old drivers first, tried installing newest drivers, ATI catalyst froze, then crashed.I might consider that this was a lemon, and I just happen to end up with one.
Other Thoughts: Considering that this card is PCIE-2, I would think it would be capable with any mobo with that slot, Oh well!

Pros: There are nothing BUT pros for this thing. It works with Windows 7 complete with OpenGL; utilizes DirectX 10 and higher; calculates faster that the Nvidia garbage currently on the market (9 out of 10 against QuadroFX 4800 and 6 out of 10 against QuadroFX 5800) and at a much cheaper price. This thing has accelerated all of my 3D creation software to a whole new level. It has a Windows Experience Rating of 7.5 (as rated by Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate).
Cons: I could gripe about price, but there would be no point. $860 is serious coinage; but compared to $1,500 or (even worse) $3,500 for a comparable Nvidia card there's no contest.
Other Thoughts: I will only say this once:

Pros: Primarily use this gpu for large assembly models in solid works 2008 & 2009. Previously had many issues when loading large assemblies, but once I installed this V8700, all my problems disappeared. I can run over 2,000 individual solidworks models in an assembly in lightweight mode, with realview graphics on and shadows...
Cons: Only one dvi output.
Other Thoughts: Keep in mind this is a very large, heavy, power hungry card. I advise ensuring you have the room and 2 extra 6 pin power adapters from your power supply to run this beast. Most P/S only have 1 six pin power adapter...
