Pros: made me quit wasting money on pc gaming and went back to xbox

Cons: artifacts. gets hot. overpriced due to bitcoin. I bought two of these there both glitchy and a waste of hard earned money

Other Thoughts: amd needs to learn how to make drivers and saphire needs to stop making junk. spend the money and go intel and nvidia

2 out of 5 eggsOkay product while it worked, Warranty is a joke.

Pros: Easy to setup and use.
Fairly quiet.
It ran games good while it worked for the 18 months.

Cons: This card died not even 18 months after purchase. It all started with my monitor turning off randomly and I thought I fixed that by turning off every option in my power options. It fixed it so it seemed, then I tried playing Sniper Elite 3 and it played for about 3 minutes before making a strange noise and giving me a gray screen with vertical lines. I turned off the PC and removed the card and checked all the connectors. Every thing was fine, this leads me to now where the fans all spin on the graphics card and the Sapphire logo on the side lights up just fine but it's throwing a constant red VGA led on my Asus MOBO, no monitor activity any at all but everything else works from the looks of it. I'm narrowing it down to a problem with my Graphics Card.

I looked into warranty, I got that story below.

Manufacture's Warranty - I should of looked into this before I bought this card in the first place; On Sapphire's website they say that their VGA's and MoBo's are covered with a 2 year warranty, however, they require you to "contact your Dealer/Reseller for Warranty / RMA service." In this sense I purchased it from Newegg directly on August 27th, 2014. According to Newegg, it is now "Ineligible for return". So much for that 2 year warranty I guess. Not sure who to blame completely, Sapphire for not having "in house warranty" or Newegg for not honoring a warranty that requires you to go through the original reseller you bought the item through, in which case it is Newegg.com themselves. Either way feels like I got fooled pretty good on this card for $200, at least those 3 free games were okay.

Other Thoughts: I would never buy another Sapphire graphics card ever again, let alone, much less be able to recommend one to any body. Maybe I got a bad card out of a bad batch but I would expect at least 2 years out of a card.

Even if Newegg could return it they would remove $100 from the original value due to the 3 free silver rated games going with the graphics card at the time of purchase. That's not a bad trade off considering it's basically a $200 paper weight in a box with fancy, glossy artwork and I can't really yield anything from it. I could maybe get something for it on a third party website of a popular variant but even then I don't have much hope.

Sorry for such a blunt review but this is the experience I gained from buying a Sapphire graphics card and also buying from newegg. Regardless, I will, more than likely continue to buy from Newegg but I will definitely learn to check the manufacture's warranties on the next future purchases I make.

I will be going to a Nvidia next more than likely and not going to do an AMD for a while.

4 out of 5 eggsSapphire R9 270X failure

Pros: long board, requires full ATX case space. Easy install and use. It came up with Win 7 Pro, converted to Win 10. No issues. Rebooted after a Win 10 patch, board failed to respond. No video, no beeps, no system. Swapped LED to check output. Removed board and replace with old 7700.

Cons: Failed with no indications of hardware or software problems.

Other Thoughts: Good board for my AMD 8300. No entries in logging except driver discrepancy early in boards use.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its fast, its quiet, it has cool lights and everything on my screen looks beautiful, and all my games run at highest settings with no problems.

Cons: No cons I can think of at this point, except that I wish it were all blue to match the rest of my computer.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card for the price range, I bought it while it was on sale. Even better with the rebate, which I forgot to send in, but I love it so much and its such a great card that it was worth every penny. I use my computer every day for regular web surfing and YouTube videos, but every once in a while when I feel like playing a game this card is up to the task. I can run most anything I want to play at the highest settings and this card keeps up. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to build a mid-range casual gaming computer on a fairly low budget.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have owned this gpu sense Dec 2014, and it has been perfect for me. I have event got to a stable overclock to 1301 core clock with msi afterburner. This gpu will get you high setting to some ultra in most games, with a average fps over 30.

Cons: not really a con but the 270x is starting to get outdated. so if you do have a extra money I would go for something little newer.

2 out of 5 eggsGoing back to Nvidia

Pros: Great for games but I need more than that.

Cons: Terrible for 3DS Max and Adobe premiere pro.

Other Thoughts: Originally got it for virtual currency test. Worked well for that and paid a good portion of the cost with that. I am going back to Nvidia.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing.

Pros: Physical Appearance is pretty well done. The specs are accurate and the clock speed at 1150Mhz is pretty outstanding. Runs all my games at max graphics at 60FPS. This is a pretty good card for its price range, which is hard to beat.

Cons: None that I can really think of!

Other Thoughts: I guess if you care about sound much, the card id pretty noisy under max load, but you should know this by getting a card at this clock speed and a stock cooler with 3 fans. This wasn't worth losing an egg since I don't mind the sound at all.

3 out of 5 eggsI really want to love it...

Pros: -Beautiful Card
-Great brands
-Cool and quite

Cons: -Experiencing white flashes during some games (Drivers are up to date)
-Card doesn't contact the motherboard properly sometimes and I lose one of my rgb colors. (Had to plug it into a different pci slot than I preferred where it happens less) Previous cards never had this problem in the same motherboard.
-Slightly disappointed by performance

Other Thoughts: Wondering if I should have gone with an r280 from a different brand for the same price... I trusted Sapphire and I feel a little bit let down.
