5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy Customer

Pros: I am very happy with this product. I have been using it for almost a year now with no issues. Plays all current games on max settings on 1080 and stays very cool in my tower. I will likely buy a second card down the road to extend the ability to max settings on the latest games. My previous builds used SLI and worked well, I think I will enjoy CrossFire.

Cons: I have no cons at the moment. I am impressed with the design, cooling, and performance.

Other Thoughts: Buy this card if you are considering it, a friend recommended it to me and I am glad he did. Great performance at a decent price.

4 out of 5 eggsThe rest of the story...

Pros: Once set up, this is a great card. Fast, good quality, would get 5 stars if not for the "undocumented features". Great support to assist in getting the configuration working properly.

Cons: Several things that the product description does not tell us before we buy... 1) The 2 DVI ports must be connected to their monitors with NATIVE cables - i.e., DVI-to-DVI, with NO adapters in use. 2) The HDMI port must similarly be connected to its monitor with a NATIVE HDMI-to-HDMI cable, with NO adapters in use. 3) The Display Port , on the other hand, must be connected WITH an active display port adapter, but only if you are installing more than 3 monitors. Then, and only then, will all 4 monitors work.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, the product description/requirements do not include everything that you need to know up front. Too bad, because if you know all of the "undocumented requirements" up front, your installation should be smooth sailing all the way. With that said, the support was very responsive and very helpful in getting the configuration to work properly.

1 out of 5 eggsCard's drivers are completely unworkable

Pros: So on those occasions the card works without crashing, the graphics are great.

Cons: The card itself seems to be fine (at least to every test I can run). Unfortunately the card's drivers are the worst things I've ever experienced with a computer. I generally have driver failures at least 3 or 4 times per hour, and these eventually result in a BSOD at least once per day if I'm using anything even vaguely graphics intensive.

AMD's customer service has also been awful, having told me to uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers on multiple occasions they've offered no additional advice or consultation.

Other Thoughts: I've been loyal to AMD and the Radeon video cards for more than 10 years at this point. But I'm probably going to have to abandon them now, as my experience with this card has been the worst.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Perfectly!

Pros: This card definitely did benefit from the extra 2GB of Vram, especially while playing at 1440p.

This card ran silent and cold when idle and managed to stay cool and quite when being pushed to it's limits.

Overclocking was decent but I didn't do it often enough to fully comment.

At the time of purchase a little over a year ago $199.99 was great.

GTA V at normal settings at 1440p ran well-ish 55FPS with drops into the 30's while driving around...
You could definitely get better if you don't push as many things to normal/high like I did.

Cons: Absolutely none!

A perfect card for a budget build.

Other Thoughts: I recently upgraded to a XFX R9 390 and plan on getting the Sapphire Nitro soon.

My specs with the R9 270x:
FX-8350
2x4GB DDR3 1600
R9 270x 4GB
1TB HDD
250GB SSD
500w PSU

4 out of 5 eggsDecent card but not out of box. still worth price

Pros: For the price, it works really well. Does what I need it to and affords me moderate gaming power.

Had to update vbios before it was viable.

Cons: Had an issue with a glitch. I contacted the web based support and took forever however their email support was quick. Soon as I updated the vbios, the card worked as it should.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Great performance per dollar!
Quiet!
Easy to install!

Cons: None..

Other Thoughts: I wish I would have seen there are 2 different types of Dvi slots so I could have purchased an adapter for my second monitor. But that is my fault for just seeing Dvi x2 in specs and not looking closer at the images.

5 out of 5 eggsBest for the price, nothing better.

Pros: I've bought a lot of upgrades for the pc's that I own and this card Is the best for the price. People talk about issues on their card but I've never had any issues due to the card. very quiet (unless you crank up the fan to 100%) and very powerful. Works great in crossfire too. Even with a single card I rarely have any games that make me turn down the settings to get above 50 fps. The 4 gb vram is very helpful when cranking up the settings even in 4k.

Cons: If you know what you're doing you should have little problems with installation and gameplay.
Do not over clock highly, most always results in a crash and could potentially harm hardware, but if you know what you are doing you will have very little problems.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent for what you pay, prepare for RMA

Pros: Decent performance, about what I expected. Holds fairly true to the benchmarks that I was basing my comparison on.
Runs decently cool considering the case I have it in (not great airflow and bottom mount PSU, card blocks some of the updraft).
And is slightly quiter than my previous HD 6870.

Cons: Got a BSOD twice since installing it, and I NEVER get BSOD.
Also get some minor graphics tearing every once in a while, just a quick flicker across the screen.

Deducted one egg each for the 2 complaints I have with it.

Other Thoughts: Only runs marginally faster on low usage games (LoL) but I knew that going into the purchase. Haven't tried it on anything too graphic instensive yet, may see better gains there with the 4gb of memory but haven't been playing anything to compare well on.

The issues I have are minor, and I would RMA but don't want to be without it so I am just dealing with it until it dies, then I will replace.
