4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, Annoying Driver

Pros: Great card. Very easy to overclock using MSI afterburner. Runs pretty much every game i have at max settings without even overclocking it even more(up to 1150Mhz Stable).

Cons: Not really any besides some issues with certain games causing a BSOD unless I underclock the card, yes, underclock. Has something to do with an ati driver that i have yet to fix. An annoyance at most, but potentially deadly to a computer.

Other Thoughts: Great price for a great card that rivals some of the more expensive Nvidia cards

2 out of 5 eggsBurned out after five months

Pros: I'm a heavy gamer. This card was able to run everything I threw at it flawlessly, and with little heat...

Cons: ...unfortunately, it burned out after a mere five months of use, to the point where it kept my PC from even posting to BIOS. (It failed on system power-on checks - I'm afraid that's a level beyond my knowledge, I had to take it to a specialty shop to get the problem diagnosed. Replaced the card, and my system ran fine again.)

Other Thoughts: A great card at a decent price. I was very happy with it - I wish I knew why it died so young.

5 out of 5 eggsDid you see the size of that chicken?!.

Pros: Works fine, runs farly cool at 68c peak, compact size for an R9 270X, reasonably priced. Overall it is doing exactly what it was made to do, 1080p gaming with high to ultra settings with todays AAA games.

Cons: The cards aggressive fan profile makes it a little louder than the MSI and the HIS versions of the 270x, the noise is reasonable though and a custom fan profile can be created using software like MSI's Afterburner.

Other Thoughts: I was originally going to buy the Powercolor Devil 270x for $199 but it sold out a few hours before I got paid so I picked up the Sapphire for $209 instead, 1 day later the Sapphire went on sale for $189, rage face....
The Purolator courior was a lazy irresponsible bum that refused to bother delivering my package while claiming I wasnt home, I called Purolators customer support and spoke to Mark, he made a complaint against the mentally defective courier for me then contacted the courior and made him leave my package at pickup spot downtown allowing me to collect my paid property on that Friday afternoon rather than wait to deal with the cowardly liar courier on the following Monday.

1 out of 5 eggsUnstable Junk

Pros: Tore through games when it worked

Cons: One Day (35 days after purchase) I got BSOD on Windows. Windows reporting the driver crashing. Could not boot to my desktop. Computer would always crash or lock up. Tried Beta Drivers, Stable Drivers, and Older Drivers. Nothing worked. Tried Linux and even did a reinstall of Windows to figure out if it was a Hardware issue. None of those worked. I never overclocked or changed any settings on the card. It is a hardware issue with the Card. Tried a different Motherboard/RAM/CPU with different PSU... Same behavior... Card is bunk. As soon as any 3D rendering needs done, OS will crash... Would not recommend Product. Stay Away.

I tried calling Sapphire to get a replacement. No one returns my calls. No one can help me.

Run away from this card.

4 out of 5 eggsLook for a great deal on these boards

Pros: Fast and relatively quiet. 2x to 3x the fps in warthunder, world of tanks, and other games. star citizen gained a good amount making it playable floor me now at 1920x1080 on ultra. average frames were 30fps at 1280x720 on low. Now 60 up to 120 @ 1920x1080. Star citizen more like 30-40.

Cons: If you are using a smaller display then this card is for you. i feel that this was a steal at $148 open box at my local store. get the 4gb model if planning to use eyefinity.

3 out of 5 eggsStill trying to install

Pros: When it starts working, I'm sure it will be good.

Cons: I just got a Sapphire dual-x r9 270x gpu.

I plugged it into my Asus p8z77-V LX motherboard, and I can't get windows 7 64bit to detect that I have even plugged in a new gpu.

Basically, I am trying to install my new Sapphire gpu and I can't even complete step 1, so to speak.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card if you can get it working

Pros: Price
Relative low power consumption
Room for overclocking

Cons: Extremely poor driver support

Other Thoughts: Bought this card because it had good reviews and is cheaper for for more power than its NVidia counterpart. The first night with this card was a absolute nightmare, I would recommend anyone that is still using Windows Vista to not even consider this card (I read that Win 7 and Win 8 is better for AMD in general), I should have done a brief check of the forums and seen what a horror story it has been for other people with windows vista. Drivers are outdated and AMD seems to be moving away from supporting Vista, last catalyst driver made for vista was in late 2013 and these drivers did not work at all for my rig. Only thing that worked in the end was their 14.7 beta drivers that you will have to look on the forums on how to edit the .inf file to work in vista( I basically spent the whole time trying to figure out whether it was a bad card, bad machine or software issue. Even at the end can only get vista to recognize it as a R9 200 series card, so might not be running as well as it could be if it was optimized for the card. So final thought avoid this card if you like using Vista, cant say much about win 7 and win 8 but forums say they should be fine.
