1 out of 5 eggsUnstable Junk

Pros: Tore through games when it worked

Cons: One Day (35 days after purchase) I got BSOD on Windows. Windows reporting the driver crashing. Could not boot to my desktop. Computer would always crash or lock up. Tried Beta Drivers, Stable Drivers, and Older Drivers. Nothing worked. Tried Linux and even did a reinstall of Windows to figure out if it was a Hardware issue. None of those worked. I never overclocked or changed any settings on the card. It is a hardware issue with the Card. Tried a different Motherboard/RAM/CPU with different PSU... Same behavior... Card is bunk. As soon as any 3D rendering needs done, OS will crash... Would not recommend Product. Stay Away.

I tried calling Sapphire to get a replacement. No one returns my calls. No one can help me.

Run away from this card.

3 out of 5 eggsStill trying to install

Pros: When it starts working, I'm sure it will be good.

Cons: I just got a Sapphire dual-x r9 270x gpu.

I plugged it into my Asus p8z77-V LX motherboard, and I can't get windows 7 64bit to detect that I have even plugged in a new gpu.

Basically, I am trying to install my new Sapphire gpu and I can't even complete step 1, so to speak.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card if you can get it working

Pros: Price
Relative low power consumption
Room for overclocking

Cons: Extremely poor driver support

Other Thoughts: Bought this card because it had good reviews and is cheaper for for more power than its NVidia counterpart. The first night with this card was a absolute nightmare, I would recommend anyone that is still using Windows Vista to not even consider this card (I read that Win 7 and Win 8 is better for AMD in general), I should have done a brief check of the forums and seen what a horror story it has been for other people with windows vista. Drivers are outdated and AMD seems to be moving away from supporting Vista, last catalyst driver made for vista was in late 2013 and these drivers did not work at all for my rig. Only thing that worked in the end was their 14.7 beta drivers that you will have to look on the forums on how to edit the .inf file to work in vista( I basically spent the whole time trying to figure out whether it was a bad card, bad machine or software issue. Even at the end can only get vista to recognize it as a R9 200 series card, so might not be running as well as it could be if it was optimized for the card. So final thought avoid this card if you like using Vista, cant say much about win 7 and win 8 but forums say they should be fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card. Great Price

Pros: Runs BF4 1080p on ~mostly~ ultra settings. It does run ALL Ultra settings, but I'm pushing to a 40" so I turn a few things down to avoid FPS drop in dust-storms and smoke grenades.

Cons: First one was showing many artifacts and glitching within the first two days. Not sure whats up with the QA on Sapphire or NewEggs part, or maybe something happened while in the hands of one of the worst package carriers hands. (UPS sucks Newegg, break that contract guys)

No one expects to RMA anything, but when I do, I definitely wish I ordered through The *Jungle* Retailer (AMZN) as the RMA process is much less hassle and takes 1/10th the time. I don't think NewEgg has updated the RMA process sense they started.

Other Thoughts: Awesome card for the price. The price may be why QA is not 100%, but that is really a NON-issue as you eventually end up with a working card or your money back, sooner or later.

5 out of 5 eggs270X review

Pros: This card runs cool uses around 175 watts about the same as a 7950 Amd which is all this GPU is a rebrand of that GPU which is ok Nvidia does this to.

Cons: BSOD on flash videos but not in high-end games? This has to be a driver issue? Wondering if the Intel I5 is trying to use the onboard video instead for those simple tasks?

This GPU performs around a 660 TI actually its only around 3-5% slower but it uses 30% more power read a review from techpowerup they compare all the newer video cards.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat size graphics card for small case

Pros: i bought this graphics card to upgrade from a amd 5450 which is a huge upgrade. i run all my games i own on ultra to extreme. it came with 2 free games that i activated on steam. its super quite. the windows experience index rates the card a 7.9 out of 7.9. the main reason i bought this card is because its a small powerful graphics card that fits in my small case.

Cons: there is no cons. i got what i paid for and im very satisfied. thanks sapphire for a great graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mid-range card

Pros: Good looking in my case, runs every game I've thrown at it at full settings 1650x1280. Just to note the most visually demanding game I play is probably Skyrim.

Cons: It seems a little excessive that it needs 2 PCI-E power connections but it wasn't a deal breaker with my PSU.

Other Thoughts: The card is reasonably sized, looks nice, and runs pretty cool. I've had a few small glitches on Fallout 3 but I think that is more the game than the card. Haven't seen any other problems on any games. This card seems to be a good balance with a high range i3 or a low to mid range i5.
