5 out of 5 eggsGood card, bad shipping

Pros: Card is working great so far
Getting triple the frames from my GTX 570
Significantly lower temps than my GTX 570
Great cooling
Very quiet
Very powerful

Cons: No original packaging or instructions. As a first time PC upgrade, I had to learn how to install it all myself, and change from a 6 pin setup to an 8 pin setup by myself. Would have loved to see some actual packaging and not just a card wrapped up in some anti-stat wrapping and shoved into a box. The card also shows some signs of wear which worries me as to its stability in the future. I got a 2 year warranty just in case but I hope I wont have to use it.

Other Thoughts: So far, it's a great card -- just wish it was packaged, and presented in a more professional manner. The card also looks like it has been through a bit of use in another PC for a while so I am a little frustrated I got the card for close to full price.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks but runs hot

Pros: A lot faster than the one I replaced.

Cons: Huge, but kind of expected that. I have a large case, and had to more a whole lot around to fit it in case.
Runs so hot I have to leave case side off, and have a case fan directed on it. Runs 67c with full load, and case side off, and extra case fan blowing on it. If case side is put on card quickly overheats and shuts down.

Other Thoughts: Using it to mine litecoin, and read everywhere it should get 740kH/s tried many settings and peak so far was 580kH/s, holds constant at 510 to 514 kH/s. I would not recommend this card for mining at this point, but I have only been playing with is for a day now. If any one has the setting that worked best for this card, please share. I am more of a programmer than a hardware guy, but I am usually pretty good with my hardware as well, this has card got me stumped. Every time I try to overclock at setting other say worked, the card becomes unstable as well. If you buy this card for high use, know you will need it have an open case, probably best to use an open air rig, or a water cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsWorking pretty well

Pros: Great price for a powerful card

Cons: Not up to my expectations

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to run solo on an Eyefinity setup after asking players in the main game I wanted to play. The performance, while an increase, still has stuttering issues, and some resolution issues (which is probably the game more than card). The card should have been my bottleneck, it might just be time to move on from Eyefinity.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking well so far

Pros: Great graphical performance
Cool operating temperature (under normal use)
Nearly silent operation

Cons: Ordered three, two work fine, RMA the third. (it is refurbished, so no lost eggs, so long as it gets replaced)

Other Thoughts: When crypto mining with these cards, they get VERY got if not ventilated in a large space. Box fans don't seem an effective means for extra cooling, as mine on full speed knocked off 2'C. 740khash/s average (1080/1496) each.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent. Orderd 4 and got 2 different types of card. missing accessories

Pros: Refurb price

Cons: Physical size of the card is HUGE. the Plastic moulding is too long, and not necessary. it is sized past the circuit board and does nothing to increase airflow. it is purely cosmetic and makes fitting difficult.

Accessories are NOT included. no DVI/VGA adapter, the power adapters included are 6 pin, but the card needs 8 pin. NO Crossfire bridge.

I ordered 4 of these cards and while 3 of them are the same style one was different. Different core clock speeds, different power connectors (1 8pin, 1 6pin). One of the three that was the same style also had a different BIOS version on it. Very annoying

Other Thoughts: If the cards were consistent, came with the original accessories, and the same BIOS version this would have been a great deal. As it was, after buying crossfire adapters, and a couple of DVI/VGA adapters the refurb price really didn't end up helping me out at all.

4 out of 5 eggsThey mine great!

Pros: Ordered 3 of these for a dogecoin mining rig and they've done well so far, aside from my psu no being able to keep up with all 3 cards. They are clocked at 1000/1450 and have been relatively quite so far.

Cons: The VRMs do get a bit toasty if you don't have any extra fans blowing directly on the cards, but i think that's just the cost of mining.

There was an issue with one card artifacting when i had it as the primary card, but it seems to mine ok, just have to run low intensity to keep 12v rail from dropping to the ground.. I'll update this review on how the 3rd card performs with the new psu.

Also, you MUST have atleast 1x 8-pin connector plugged in for the card t turn on. The card only comes with 2x 6-pin adapters, and i had to run 2 ground wires to the other 2 pins to get the cards to even boot. After that was figured out, it was fine.

Other Thoughts: Why the heck do you get a free PDU with this thing??? I have 3 useless boxes of equipment in my apartment now.

3 out of 5 eggsmissing accessories

Pros: super clean, looks brand new

Cons: original shipment (before refurbished) had:

CrossFire™ Bridge Interconnect Cable
DVI to VGA Adapter

This shipment contains neither.

Other Thoughts: The original shipment also contained the SAPPHIRE TriXX Utility.
You will have to go to the manufacturer's website to get that now.

5 out of 5 eggsTo N/A

Pros: You said it was a good card. Then tell us about it.

Cons: You sit there and whine about the card not fitting in crossfire? have you thought about maybe moving the card to the second slot then trying crossfire? Your review is bad and you should feel bad too.

1 out of 5 eggshd 7970

Pros: it is a good card by it self

Cons: a normal card from any other company would be better for crossfire. they don't tell you in the description that the cards are 2 and a 1/4 inches thick and wont fit in crossfire. so if you are going to run in crossfire by from a different company then sapphire
