5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU

Pros: This GPU can run all of my games maxed or close to maxed and at solid fame rates. As with any GPU it's all about fine tuning your graphics to make everything run the way you want it to. I play a lot of FPS games like the Far Cry series, Battlefield series, Bioshock series and so on. Plus i play racing games and RPG's. I've had this GPU for a few months now and it's just a power house. Now when i bought this card it was way more then what it's priced right now but i'd say it was well worth the money.

Cons: I don't have any cons for this GPU

4 out of 5 eggsI love this card.

Pros: I have had this card for a long time and it is amazing, running stock with no oc it can run bf4 on ultra, and I love that.

Cons: what upsets me about my card atleast is that I cannot oc it, whenever I try and run a game or do a benchmark (including experience index) while my card is over clocked I get the blue screen of death. Only taking 1 egg off for this however since it still runs games on ultra with no need to overclock, I just like to try it.

4 out of 5 eggsA good card at the right price

Pros: "Free" BF4. As everyone says, it IS quiet, and runs relatively cool. I OCed via Catalyst to 1200/1500 with no issues (baby steps), and run High with no AA on BF4, on a Z77w/16GB with an Ivy i5 at 3.8/Win8.1 and get 50/60 FPS average @ 1680 x 1050, with peaks in the 100s. GPU-Z reports 100% GPU & 61C with well cooled case after an hour of game play. Have not tried the 14.1 drivers yet. Free version of 3DMark11 reports graphic score of 9200. Fast free shipping with Newegg. BF4 key was good and downloaded fine.

Cons: I took one Egg off because it is not a great deal anymore, as the price keeps going up, I assume because the 7870s are gone!! When I first looked at it, with BF4, it was almost a hunert less than it is now. I paid 70 less than it is now. It's really just a souped up HD7870 with better cooling, and support for Mantle, if that ever works, so more OC available. Card is longer than it has to be, as I saved 5/8" by removing the useless blue plastic trim at the end. Was the difference between fitting and not.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: I'm absolutely impressed with this card, every game I Throw at it runs smooth as butter on hot asphalt.

Runs bf4 on ultra no problem
Runs titanfall (beta) ultra
Planetside 2 ultra

The design overall is sleek and nice it runs very cool and is extremely quiet

Cons: I was lucky enough to get it for $219
I would not recommend that you buy the card for 300+ dollars you can get a better performing card for that money

Other Thoughts: Over all I love this card and I will definitely be getting another to crossfire in the future

3 out of 5 eggsGreat card, but quality assurance could be better

Pros: When this card is working properly, it's awesome. It runs every game I have at 1080-utlra very smoothly, and the hottest I ever got it was 78c, with the fans on auto setting running 38% I barely heard it. This is a great mid-range card and is super-quiet and cool under load. I have not had a chance to overclock it yet, but that's part of why I can only give it 3 stars...

Cons: I am currently in the RMA process for the second time now. The first card I got was DOA. The second one worked out of the box, except for random occurrences of the video cutting in and out. I contacted Sapphire support and they suggested updating the VBIOS but when that didn't work they told me it must mean the card is defective.

Hopefully the third time will be the charm and I'll actually get a chance to try the overclocking capabilities on it.

Other Thoughts: Sapphire tech support is responsive, can't complain there.

3 out of 5 eggsBought 2-Only one worked

Pros: The one that works runs cool and is noticeably faster than my old unlocked 6950. I can barely hear the fan even when it is set to 75% and it seems to plays almost all modern games at 1080p without a problem. So far I've tried Bioshock Infinite, Arkham Origins, and Far Cry.

Cons: The 2nd card would crash when starting any 3d application. Regular desktop 2d work was fine, but as soon as you fire up a game-blank screen and computer would freeze.

Other Thoughts: Newegg accepted my RMA request, but I had to pay $12 to ship it back. This is only the 2nd product in a decade that I've had to return to Newegg, so not bad.

5 out of 5 eggsfast, quiet and cool

Pros: I purchased two of these cards for my new gaming rig and I love them! So far, every game I've tossed at it runs smoothly and the cards (not overclocked) run no higher than 120 F. I am very happy with the performance and the cooling of these monsters.

Cons: zip!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card, No hiccups

Pros: 1: Works great with even an outdated CPU, I have an AMD A6-3620, and can run BF4 on ultra with 20-30, high with 25-35, and medium with 30-40. With a nicer CPU (Like an FX-8320 for example) you should be able to get Ultra settings with 40-50 FPS.
2: Got it at low price, $250.
3: Runs cool. Around 31* C Idle/web browsing. And 41-45* C during high end gaming.
4: The fans are extremelly quiet until you get to about 60% fan speed, but at that point your card is around 65* C anyway.
5: BF4!!!
6: Installed easily into my motherboard, works fast even in a PCI-E 16x 2.0 slot, and it worked right away(See cons section)

Cons: 1: The drivers that come with the disk aren't great, but that's expected with any card.
2: It would have been nice if it came with 3 GB GDDR5 ram for a little bit of a future proof, but it should last 2-3 years.

Other Thoughts: If your computer does not have good air flow inside, do not get this card without buying some fans and clean up your wiring for the inside of the case, as this is a open card that dispenses heat from nearly all sides, while closed cards will only dispense heat to the outside of the case. Most cases have nice air flow (I have an NZXT Phantom 630.) so you shouldn't really have to worry.

Download the sapphire TRIXX program, and set the fan speed to go 1% per degree, so at 40* make it 40%. And then when you get it to 60 just make it so that the fans are 100% at 80* because 80 isn't good for the card.

My build:
NZXT Phantom 630 (Case)
Corsair RM750 (Power Supply)
Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270x (Graphics Card)
1Tb WD 5400 RPM 3gb/s (HDD)
500Gb WD 5400 RPM 3gb/s (Backup HDD)
8 Gb DDR3 1600 Mhz (Ram)
Amd A-6320 @ 2.3 Ghz (CPU)
Lite-On DVD+DL R/W (Disk Drive)
Samsung 840 Evo 250Gb ( (Soon to come)OS Drive/Games)

Final thought: If you are getting this card as your first graphics card I highly recommend it as it is easy to use. And even for a mid->high end gamer this graphics card will work amazingly. I cant wait to get an AMD FX-8320 because this thing will be even better.
