5 out of 5 eggsThe Best 290 You Can Buy just happens to be the cheapest

Pros: * Great Price

* Doesn't require as much power draw as you would think. You could easily use a 80+ silver or gold rated 600w with this card. I will mention though I would NOT recommend a non 80+ rated psu for this card. This card will crash if you have a poor psu that fluctuates power. Do your research before you buy a PSU and ask questions!

* By Far the Coolest Running card out of all the 290s. Way Quieter than my friend who is running the MSI 290 Gaming.

* Plenty of room to overclock

* Great on my triple monitors, running just about all games at 50-60+ fps on 5760x1080. Far Cry 4 runs like it's meant to be played especially since the Omega driver was released. Getting 70fps Maxed with AA on medium.

* You Don't need an Active Display Port Adapter to run 3 monitors! it has one built in

* No "black screen issue" that everyone has talked about, seems that Sapphire atm is the only company to release a fix for it.

* No bottle necking with a FX 6300

* It's a big card but it still manages to fit in most mid towers

Cons: * I wish the cards logo lit up like the XFX or GTX cards do but I can't complain about that.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a Sapphire 6950 HD and must say, it's quadrupled in performance. I went from 14fps on Far Cry 4 on low settings (triple monitors) to 70 fps maxed (triple monitors). This is the only card in the sub $300 that can give you this kind of performance. Even when crossfired with 2 trix card, this thing, at least in my own opinion could keep up with GTX 970 in SLI and yet it's still $300 cheaper to do 2x TriX 290s than 2x 970.

5 out of 5 eggsBig, Warm N' Fast.

Pros: - Fantastic performance in every game I've tried.
- Cools down very quickly.
- Cooler is reasonably quiet.
- Only get's up to ~70c under load with adequate case cooling.

I'll elaborate on some of these in the other thoughts.

Cons: - Is quite large (Approx. 11 inches)
- Outputs a fairly high amount of heat

I'll elaborate on some of these in other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: About the size of the card; It's of course not a con if you have a lot of room in your case, I was able to get it to fit comfortably in my casse, (NZXT Source 210) but I did have to move one of my HDDs. Just make sure you have enough room to fit this card in your case.

The temperatures the card hits while under load and while idle in my case with ~70F ambient is ~70c under load and it usually sits at 40c-38c while idle. What's very impressive about this cooler though is the rate that it cools a card after you take the load off, it takes under a minute to drop from 70c to 40c, and I have no case fans blowing directly on the card.

I've yet to find a game that this card couldn't run exceptionally well. Though make sure to always uninstall your old GPU drivers when upgrading. I didn't and was disappointed when I booted up BF4's test range and couldn't get above 40 FPS. Turns out it was because I didn't uninstall and reinstall the GPU drivers. After doing so BF4 averaged at ~80-100 FPS without AA as I don't think BF4's AA options look very good.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: nice looking but not that nice looking

Cons: was dead when it got here only got to work for a bit but when i tried installing drivers it just went black screen on me. i uninstalled drivers and video card and tried again. i tried a r9 280x and a gtx 650 and i got both of those to work flawlessly. going to return it.

Other Thoughts: card is really long, not a con for me but people should know its 12"

5 out of 5 eggsWon't Disappoint

Pros: This card is an absolute animal, running it on 2 of those 27 inch benqs that were on sale over thanksgiving. Runs every game at max with over 60 fps. I got it on sale at 279.99, and also a 20$ rebate bringing it to 259.99. It was an absolute steal. Definitely buying another one when this card is on sale again.

Cons: People have said this before, but it is a huge card. Make sure you buy a tower that fits the card. I checked the dimensions on my tower before I purchased it and made sure the card would fit so I would have no problems. If you buy this card and it doesn't fit your case, IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: DOA

Cons: DOA didn't get to use it. when first turned computer on it crashed it. shortly after installing drivers received black screen. could not get to start back up would always "black screen" before windows could load. uninstalled all drivers swapped to 13.12 driver, even swapped to a sapphire r9 280x to test and the 280x ran perfect no hitch. just a dead card. horrible. have had a r9 270x, r9 280x and a old 6850 sapphire and all have worked good. dont know if this is sapphire quality or amd's design.

3 out of 5 eggsBlack Screened

Pros: Great graphics

Cons: Install was a nightmare. It took me three days to get this card running on a new build. It kept black screening on me and locking up my computer. It caused Windows to become corrupt and I had to reimage my computer several times before I was able to get the card running. And this was only because I updated the BIOS on the graphics card itself.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: The card works great. On some games, you've got to run the fan a lil higher than 50%. On the Furmark tester, it capped out at 61 degrees Celcius at 116 frames per second, on 25% fan speed. Tomb Raider, Shadow of Mordor, and Alien Isolation run smooth. Can't rave enough about this card.

Cons: Need a full tower to fit properly. Loud with fans at 75% and higher. Not compatible with some mother boards. causes restarts and crashes even if you have a 1000 watt power supply.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I would rate the graphics card a 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck!!

Pros: Awesome OC options. Stays cool. Runs quiet. Epic performance.

Cons: None as of yet

Other Thoughts: It's really a great card. With a little bit of OCing, it's <2% margins from the 290x. It's never been too loud, it stays below 60, and never lets me down. It looks games in the face and then punches them in the stomach. It's the kind of graphics card that reminds of the dude at the gym that's super cool and helps everyone, but can lift more weight than the gym owns. It's the super sexy wife you never had.

Seriously though, this card is for real. Buy it, only if you want the best price for the best performance. If you don't, then you're stupid, and I hate you.
