The SAPPHIRE 100366-2L Radeon R7 260X is powered by AMD Radeon R7 260X, the latest AMD GPU designed to take your gaming to the next level. Based on AMD generation GCN architecture and boasting support for DirectX 11.2, the Radeon R7 260X is built to play the very latest games with perfectly smooth action, even at higher resolutions. New AMD Eyefinity Technology allows you to build three-monitor environment through just two DVI and one HDMI ports, without connecting DisplayPort which is required in HD 7000 series. AMD TrueAudio Technology brings your game to life by adding more realistic environmental dynamics, sound effects, and directional audio. A rich set of AMD innovative technologies are included, such as App Acceleration, AMD PowerTune, AMD ZeroCore, and AMD HD3D technology. With these technology advancements, you'll get more than one way to elevate your gaming experience.

  • newegg DirectX 11.2 The tessellation performance on AMD Radeon R7/ R9 series is up to two times faster than the previous generation, and DirectCompute performance is also faster to accelerate advanced post-processing, filtering, and anti-aliasing techniques. Direct X11 games have never looked this good.
  • newegg Mantle There’s optimization, and then there’s Mantle. Games enabled with Mantle speak the language of GCN architecture to unlock revolutionary performance and image quality. It’s a game-changing innovation developed by AMD.
  • newegg AMD TrueAudio Technology AMD TrueAudio technology brings the world’s first programmable audio pipeline marking a new frontier in realism for PC gamers. AMD TrueAudio technology empowers game developers with a programmable audio pipeline on the GPU, inviting them to put their unique artistic fingerprint on in-game audio in the same way that the programmable graphics pipeline brought unfettered artistic vision to PC graphics. Enabled games can feature more realistic environmental dynamics, a richer tapestry of sound effects, breathtaking directional audio and more. AMD TrueAudio technology enhances audio realism by simulating the human brain’s perception of real-world sound, working in concert with the user’s existing audio hardware to recreate a lifelike experience (on supported games).
  • newegg AMD PowerTune Technology AMD PowerTune is a breakthrough technology that sets an entirely new direction for maximum performance at TDP. It allows the GPU to be designed with higher engine clock speeds which can be applied on the broad set of applications that have thermal headroom.
  • newegg AMD Stream Technology Accelerate the most demanding applications with AMD Stream technology and do more with your PC. AMD Stream Technology allows you to use the teraflops of compute power locked up in your graphics processer on tasks other than traditional graphics such as video encoding, at which the graphics processor is many, many times faster than using the CPU alone.
  • newegg AMD App Acceleration AMD App Acceleration is a set of technologies designed to improve video quality and enhance application performance. Full enablement of some features requires support for OpenCL, DirectCompute, or DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA).

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but..

Pros: It's fast, cheap, runs pretty cool. Sure, it's not extremely high end, but it's extremely price efficient.

Cons: Newegg can't seem to ship anything that isn't DOA. It seems half the things I order off this site are broken in some way. This isn't the fault of the manufacturer, though, so I'm only removing one.

Other Thoughts: I wish Newegg would do a better job with their quality control - I swear when they get things as returns they just slap them back on the shelves without a single refurb/repair. Gunna have to get a replacement, but I shouldn't have to do this every single time I order something.

Their motto should be something like "DIY to DOA in 4-7 business days." It even rhymes, more or less.

This'll probably be removed though, due to "Criticism of's service" being a review guideline, but it's pretty despicable to remove what you don't like.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price

Pros: Cheap card, can max out most of my games at 1080p.

Cons: took time to find the stable drivers.

Other Thoughts: Bang for the buck card, pretty good performance at 1080p. If you could afford the r9 270, you could get more performance for 30 dollars more. nonetheless the r7 260x is good card for the price. would've gotten the r9 270 though if I I had known it is just a few dollars cheaper.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pushes pixels well, quiet

Cons: AMD's drivers are still terrible. If you're having the black screen issue, the fix seems to be just disabling hardware acceleration for 2D (which generally has to be done for each affected application).

Other Thoughts: My thanks to the other reviewer who clued me in to the exact fix for this problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget graphics card!

Pros: I bought this graphics card as a part of a budget build. My brother got it for his computer and i was lucky enough to see it perform before i bought it. After i got it, i was eager to see how it performed on many of my games. low to moderate graphics games such as minecraft or left for dead perform at 100+ fps, and medium to high graphics games such as Planetside 2 perform amazingly smooth at ultra settings. (at least 60 fps) I am very impressed with this graphics card even paired with a measly 4gb's motherboard ram (again, budget build) an Amd quad core 4.2 ghz and a standard 7200 rpm hard drive. Buy this card if you are on a budget because you will not be disappointed!

Cons: only has one Dvi port so you must have either an hdmi converter or an hdmi monitor if you are going to use dual monitors.

4 out of 5 eggsR7 260x

Pros: It runs all the games I have in my steam library well at medium settings. I have not had any issues thus far and it runs fairly well. The two gigs of video ram is also nice.

Cons: I never received my code for the free games, would give a 5 egg rating if I actually got them as I was supposed to.

Other Thoughts: It is a nice and compact card, would not recommend crossfire with it though, a single R9 270x would do better.

1 out of 5 eggsUnusable

Pros: None - the card won't run for more than 20 minutes without black-screening

Cons: Drivers are abysmal. Black screens during games; black screens from desktop. No diagnostics written anywhere. Need to hard reboot to get access to system again.

Other Thoughts: I deeply regret buying this card. Worse, I regret not being able to RMA it. After hours of diagnostics, swap outs of PS etc, the one lesson is that I should have bought nvidia. How others are rating this as a 4 or 5 egg product is a mystery to me.

2 out of 5 eggsDrivers are awful

Pros: This card is great for playing games, i upgraded from a Radeon 6670 and it handles every game perfectly and medium to max settings (matters what games you wanna play).

Cons: The Drivers.
Really the drivers are awful it took me 15 hours for me to get this thing set-up. Everything was easy up until having to troubleshoot the drivers. thankfully with a couple videos off YouTube and A LOT of helpful people on multiple different websites i was able to figure it out. Be warned you really need to get rid of your old drivers and get the drivers OFF THE WEBSITE. If there was one thing that made it easier it would be getting it off the Sapphire website.

Other Thoughts: Other than the driver issue i love the card i'[m able to pretty much max every game i wanted to and many more future games are able to be playable un-like my old graphics card

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card is a dream. Picked it up on sale for $10 off list price, and as a replacement for my archaic old card - an Nvidia GeForce 8800GT. It was a good card back in its' day, but it had become rather sluggish recently, so I decided it was time to upgrade.

Hot diggity, was this thing one hell of an upgrade! First off, the heat-sink/fan combo is whisper quiet - Even under full load, the case fans are louder than this baby. Never even thinks about running hot.

Second, performance. This thing has given me a MASSIVE upgrade to my capabilities, allowing me to play games that, before I was on med-high, now I can run at ultra-high texture res and animation qualities.

For the price/performance ratio I gained off this baby, there really is no other place you should be looking. Now, it's not the BEST card available, not by a long-shot, but for someone like me, who is not necessarily going for 60fps on 1080p, this thing really cannot be beat.

Cons: I missed a sale that had the price at $99 rather than $119. But that's my fault, not Newegg/Sapphire/AMD.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks for a short....

Pros: Good price and specs

Cons: Dead in about 3 weeks. Was using with Autodesk Inventor and started to get green lines on my screen then the screen went black.
Reloaded OS from scratch but the fresh driver install only worked for three days before card would produce no video output at all. I'm just out of my 30 days, so trying to work with Sapphire now.

Other Thoughts: Disappointing failure rate in these cards from the reviews.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a few weeks then died

Pros: Thought I'd try Sapphire out after good luck with XFX and horrible luck with PNY. It worked great when it worked.

Cons: Died within two weeks

Other Thoughts: Doesn't look like we can return these if the UPC is removed for the rebate. So we have to send them to Sapphire for warranty, wait without a card, and probably get a refurb back.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry that you are having these problems with your card.

If your card does not operate correctly after Neweggs Return/Refund period then we deal with thr RMA.

We hope that the RMA goes smoothly.
