The SAPPHIRE 100366-2L Radeon R7 260X is powered by AMD Radeon R7 260X, the latest AMD GPU designed to take your gaming to the next level. Based on AMD generation GCN architecture and boasting support for DirectX 11.2, the Radeon R7 260X is built to play the very latest games with perfectly smooth action, even at higher resolutions. New AMD Eyefinity Technology allows you to build three-monitor environment through just two DVI and one HDMI ports, without connecting DisplayPort which is required in HD 7000 series. AMD TrueAudio Technology brings your game to life by adding more realistic environmental dynamics, sound effects, and directional audio. A rich set of AMD innovative technologies are included, such as App Acceleration, AMD PowerTune, AMD ZeroCore, and AMD HD3D technology. With these technology advancements, you'll get more than one way to elevate your gaming experience.

  • newegg DirectX 11.2 The tessellation performance on AMD Radeon R7/ R9 series is up to two times faster than the previous generation, and DirectCompute performance is also faster to accelerate advanced post-processing, filtering, and anti-aliasing techniques. Direct X11 games have never looked this good.
  • newegg Mantle There’s optimization, and then there’s Mantle. Games enabled with Mantle speak the language of GCN architecture to unlock revolutionary performance and image quality. It’s a game-changing innovation developed by AMD.
  • newegg AMD TrueAudio Technology AMD TrueAudio technology brings the world’s first programmable audio pipeline marking a new frontier in realism for PC gamers. AMD TrueAudio technology empowers game developers with a programmable audio pipeline on the GPU, inviting them to put their unique artistic fingerprint on in-game audio in the same way that the programmable graphics pipeline brought unfettered artistic vision to PC graphics. Enabled games can feature more realistic environmental dynamics, a richer tapestry of sound effects, breathtaking directional audio and more. AMD TrueAudio technology enhances audio realism by simulating the human brain’s perception of real-world sound, working in concert with the user’s existing audio hardware to recreate a lifelike experience (on supported games).
  • newegg AMD PowerTune Technology AMD PowerTune is a breakthrough technology that sets an entirely new direction for maximum performance at TDP. It allows the GPU to be designed with higher engine clock speeds which can be applied on the broad set of applications that have thermal headroom.
  • newegg AMD Stream Technology Accelerate the most demanding applications with AMD Stream technology and do more with your PC. AMD Stream Technology allows you to use the teraflops of compute power locked up in your graphics processer on tasks other than traditional graphics such as video encoding, at which the graphics processor is many, many times faster than using the CPU alone.
  • newegg AMD App Acceleration AMD App Acceleration is a set of technologies designed to improve video quality and enhance application performance. Full enablement of some features requires support for OpenCL, DirectCompute, or DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Card

Pros: - Runs Cool with mild OC +50 core, +100 mem (57C max after 30
min. of Nosgoth @ 50% fan in a well vented case and a 22C
room)
- Moderate noise level even at 100% fan speed (is it audible... yes,
is it deafening, no).
- Decent looking card
- Plays newer games decently well at 1920x1080 with a blend of
low/med without AA (did not test in depth)
- Decent TDP for an AMD card

Cons: - None at this moment. Card has worked flawlessly for it's first day.

Other Thoughts: After testing the card through several rounds of Nosgoth we managed to get the card to play the game at 1920x1080 with a balance between performance and quality settings. Looks great and was running between 50-60 FPS. Did not test any other games at the moment. If you wish to know about the usual games (BF4, Metro, Bioshock, ect.), there are many reviews out there for even this card specifically.

In our group we have GTX 770's & 760's as well as some HD 7xxx and other R7 2xx cards. The 260x fits right in where it should in the budget line and you cannot go wrong with this card if you are looking for a little more than the 250x has to offer, but can't reach the price of a quality non reference brand of the 265 or 270. XFX has a 265 that sells usually for about $129. BUT many problems with that card from what I heard, no personal thoughts on it. I chose this Sapphire 260x over it due to knowing Sapphire more and trusting the company. Costed someone a few frames but I think they will survive.

2 out of 5 eggsRadeon R7 260X

Pros: Works fine

Cons: Don't buy this if you are expecting to get the rebate, they make up bogus reasons to deny it and make it a big hassle to prove you qualify.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little card

Pros: For the price that you're paying, this is one surprising card. it can run some more demanding games at 60+fps (battlefield 3, ultra; Star Citizen on high), thinking about buying a second down the road for crossfire to really amp up the performance.

Cons: not really a con since it's not the card at fault, but any resolution above or below recommended gives a black screen border (only because I have a TV as a monitor and not a pc monitor yet

also does not make me breakfast

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked out of the box.

No issues with drivers.

HDMI connection as well as a DVI connection.

Sleek look.

So far has been able to handle anything I throw at it. Handles 1080p games at high settings well.

Cons: none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Very good card for the price. Will handle 1080p for most games at medium to high settings while maintaining good frame rates. Don't expect any 4K gaming, but single display 1080p will be just fine.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent enough entry level gaming card

Pros: Good bang for the buck.

Cons: Jankey drivers, the drivers on the disc that came with the card wouldn't install.

Also, the drivers crash from time to time and the card will drop frames or stutter occasionally as well. I found a solution to this, though, which is using the provided utility to kick the GPU voltage up just a tick. That seems to have made it run much more stable although not quite 100% without issue.

Other Thoughts: I dropped an egg because of the driver and stability issues, but they weren't bad enough to tank it. Overall this is a good value card, and I've been happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggs260x

Pros: the video card is very good for 720p gaming runs all games on ultra settings. is very silent, stable, cheap. I recommend it

Cons: i dont know why when i open skype or some games it say amd drivers stop working and the pc get slow. I install an older version of skype and the problem was solved. but is nothing whit the graphics card it have to be something whit drivers

Other Thoughts: for the price you get nice performance. runs shadow of mordor on ulra on 720p and all other games. if you have a 720p tv this is a great card but do not expect to play 1080p games ultra setting.
