5 out of 5 eggsTrial and Error

Pros: Read Previous review by me:

Cons: Read Previous review by me:

Other Thoughts: After trouble shooting with another computer's motherboard. I found out that for some reason my motherboard itself somehow got fried. "The video card had nothing to do with it."

*I apologize to the company who made this great video card for the 1 star I gave it on my previous review.*

Once I connect the video on another computer's motherboard and booted it up. The video/graphics card was working perfectly. Like I said earlier, I don't know how my motherboard got fried. Hopefully my CPU still works. Again...

"I am very sorry for rating the 'SAPPHIRE 100358-2L Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card ' a one star.

It's worth 5 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsWork for 1 Month

Pros: Works amazingly. You can play WoW on the highest graphics. Same thing with Bioshock Infinite, Assasin's Creed 4 Black Flag and Diablo 3 type games.

Cons: There was some low level static that happens after 30 days and kills the motherboard and video card. I don't know how or why.

It was today when I heard 'static' like noise coming from my tower. I ignored it and 30 minutes later my screen goes blank and says that there is no vga detected.

So I turned everything off. Made sure I was static free. [I build my computers wearing only boxer briefs. I know too much info....]

I open up my tower and take out the video card. Connect the vga cable to the motherboard vga connector and turned on my computer. And it still says 'no vga detect' along those lines.

So in conclusion I believe that somehow the video card 'might' have caused a low level static charge and fried my motherboard along with the video card.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry that you are having these problems.

The graphics card should not cause any kind of static discharge. Please check that your power supply is operating correctly on all the rails.

We hope that your graphics card RMA goes smoothly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: - DX 11
- GDDR5 memory
- Cheap
- Loose HDMI port that prevents the video card HDMI port from breaking

Cons: - Could have bought it for $75 after rebate since June 2013
- Loose HDMI port that makes me have to replug the HDMI cable everytime if I bump the HDMI cable somehow

Other Thoughts: Good card. I upgraded from the GT240 with 512 MB of GDDR5 memory and noticed a significant difference between DX 10.2 and DX 11. I using a Corsair CX430 with this Sapphire HD 7770

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Great performance for the price. Runs all my games at max. StarCraft 2, MechWarrior Online, Rift, Planetside 2, Trackmania Canyon and a bunch of others, all at max settings and 1680 x 1050 res. Runs them smooth too.

Easy install.

Cons: My mobo isn't big enough to crossfire this card :(

Other Thoughts: I finally upgraded from a HD5450 and woow I am happy with this purchase. I cant believe how little this card cost and how quickly it arrived. I ordered on a Friday and it was here Monday.

I have and will continue to recommend this card to anyone on a tight budget.

1 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: none

Cons: NONe

Other Thoughts: In my opinion it is ridiculous that the documentation sent to Sapphire was not the "proper" documentation. I would like to thank Newegg for convincing Sapphire to give me another chance to send the "proper" documentation. My question is , if the documents I sent are not considered to be an invoice/receipt , then what are they. Thank you Newegg, Sapphire ridiculous. Sincerely, Douglas Waldroop

4 out of 5 eggsOverall Good Product

Pros: Cheap when on sale, SAPPHIRE quality, PCIe 3.0, pretty fast for the price, reliable

Cons: Not as good as you might think. This card looks good on paper, but performs only marginally better than modern AMD APU's. The fan is louder than some mid-range cards. If I was looking to buy again, I'd save a bit more money and wait for a sale or a refurb HD7850. Or, spend a bit more for an R7 260X and enjoy Mantle support.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's not a bad card if you get it on sale. If you're looking for something mid-range that will handle modern games on high settings in the $100-125 range, I'd look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value plus PERFORMANCE!

Pros: CHEAP! Very good Performance!

Cons: Not Awesome performance.

Other Thoughts: If you are a more than casual gamer but not hard core FPSer, then this is the card you can't overlook for very good performance. I have to say I had my doubts but as far as gaming goes, I can max out Borderlands 2, CIV 5 and LoL without a hitch. CIV 5 gets a tad bogged down toward the later stages but the card still performs admirably. If you are on a budget and have at least a 500W power supply there is no reason not to grab this card!
