3 out of 5 eggsWell... just read it.

Pros: positive things about this card is that it can handle just about anything you throw at it. can run crisis at ultra stock.

over all a good card.

however, my cons and other thoughts is why i am writing this.

Cons: .the drivers for this card are really really bad. it made my pc crash alot, and just has gotten worce. this started happening about 6 months or so into owning it and has gotten more and more worse. It giving my pc major memory issues and doest seem to want to work with my fx amd processor at all now.

Other Thoughts: if your looking for a new card, i would say stay away from this one. i had to break out my old gpu and use that until i can buy a new gpu. i was getting blue screens everyday due to driver shutdowns, memory issues, and register problems with the gpu and cpu with the OS. The new windows 10 update was making the gpu driver have a memory leak of over 9 gigs in ram just to run the OS. had to reinstall my OS... its just a mess.

NOW i am going to have to buy another 300 to 400 dollar gpu because i simply can not use this anymore. I gave it 3 stars because mine just may be a black sheep. however from the looks of the reviews it might now be. if you get one that last's longer than a year, it would be a good card. I think something hardware wise is wrong with mine. i honestly don't know i just know the gpu is the source of the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking as Intended

Pros: - One of the best GPU coolers in my opinion. 60-65c during full load, I've never seen this go above 70c.
- Very nice aesthetics.
- I like the blue/black color theme.

Cons: - Card is long but I had no problem fitting inside my Corsair Carbide 500r case.

Other Thoughts: Well I hate starting this review like this but If I would of wrote this review maybe couple months back it would of been very differently.

To begin I am very bummed and mad at this time, I ordered this GPU on 04/07/14 and paid roughly $390. Almost a year has gone by and with that amount of money I could purchased a R9 290x or the new Nvidia GTX 970 which range from $330-$360 as I am writing this review. I had my eyes set on this card(at the time) however due to the gold miners I wasn't able to purchase any R9 280x since they were going for like $450+. I am very bummed knowing I could bought a VERY high end graphics card right now... oh well technology sure advances rapidly.

Now that my rant is out of the way i'll quickly give my opinion on this card. Well it's almost a year since I've had this card and honestly I haven't had any problems what so ever, not even screen issues. The cooler on this thing is amazing, I monitored the temps on this card for the first few months and to this day I've never seen it exceed over 70c, it averages between 60c-65c.

Honestly this GPU might be a little too much for my needs, I am still kinda new the PC gaming scene, around four years. I only play like 1-2 games to be honest that is SWTOR and SC2. I bought two other games just to "test" the graphics on this thing and that was Tomb Raider which had no issues maxing out. However Watch Dogs on the other hand doesn't quite max it out, I'm not saying its horrible or anything but you can still play this game at very high settings but once you start to max out some settings it starts to get rough.

To conclude I am giving this card 5/5 eggs, everything about this card has been working flawlessly. My rant is just a personal thing knowing I could of bought something better... and doesn't affect the product by any means.

2 out of 5 eggsCard Artifacts

Pros: I bought this card because I had an old Vapor-X and I loved it! This guy supports 4k,so I took the plunge.

Cons: Almost from the get go it started artifacting. Usually it doesn't do this in games, but in the browser when there is webgl or heavy animations going on.

I figured it could be fixed with an update, but that hasn't been the case. Look elsewhere!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, high quality, great price, great cooler.

Cons: A wee bit noisy once it gets humming along, but nothing headphones can't fix.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to try and use this for a watercooling loop, don't. There are no full card water blocks for these cards. I wish EK or XSPC or even Sapphire would make one. Granted the vapor-x tech and the tri-x fan work absolutely amazing for cooling this beast off, but i wanted my case to glow blue.

3 out of 5 eggsSeemed Good......

Pros: Right away the card looks pretty dam cool. Vapor-x glows blue and i have a black and blue themed build so i was really happy with this card. Fit great in my case and worked like a charm right out of the box after loading drivers. Played all the games i wanted it to play and had the settings turned up to ultra just to see how it handles. Then it started to happen.....

Cons: Sadly after a good 7 days of playing games for about 2 hours a day, it started to show artifacts on the screen. This being my first real time ever buying new stuff and not piecing together builds from other peoples stuff, did not know about RMA rules. On day six i sent in my upc to receive some money back and then the next day the card started failing.

Other Thoughts: I will buy another one and have a go with that one but its a shame that there is no way to have this card replaced and im out a few hundred all because of a $20 tease. The lesson learned is play games for at least a good whole day to test the card out hard. And run some benchmark stuff too.

3 out of 5 eggsLocked BIOS!

Pros: It runs cool

Cons: WARNING: This card has a locked BIOS. Since I run Linux, I cannot change the voltage in any way. I got a half broken card, in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Stop with this. I NEED to flash a new BIOS to change voltages.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card but..

Pros: The Heat Sink is awesome. Card stays very cool.

Can Handle anything really. you may find one or two limitations but its a 5 star rated card. sure you could spend more but! why? you will max everything out, sell it in 12 months and but the next gen card anyway.

Cons: One issue with this card i have found is the memory clock. after months of trying to figure out why some times a game would crash or freeze i finaly figured out my problem.

the memory is clocked really high. i down clocked it to 1250 and i havent had a single issue. if your running in to bugs down clock it with the overdrive in the CCC the mem 1250mhz and the core to 1000mhz and all the issues disapear and the card runs cooler.

at the same time with the down clock its still more powerfull then stock.

as if the card didnt run cool enough. i also saw 0% performance loss that was noticable.

Other Thoughts: Down clock it

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing works flawlessly

Pros: I put this badboy in my system and installed the driver cd. Everything works great so far. The tri x cooler was great to begin with and the vapor x adds to the already great cooling. The shroud is aluminum and the vapor x logo glows blue to match my case lights so its very good looking. My temps havent gone over 36c yet. Maxxes out Warframe and Skyrim. Buy it

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: System

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase

Pros: -Great out of the box clocks. 1100/1500.
-Ran Unigine Valley benchmark. 720p, Ultra settings, 2x aa and averaged 62.5 FPS
-Great cooling
-Drivers east to install
-Looks awesome

Cons: -Very large card
-Droops in case a little from being so long.
-Requires 2, 8-pin connectors from power supply

Other Thoughts: No artifacting or overheating. Overclocked with AMD overdrive to 1240/1675 and averaged 65.8 fps in same benchmark as noted above.

Great card overall. Huge step up from my MSI 6850.

3 out of 5 eggsArtifacting sometimes

Pros: -Runs cool at 67 degrees on Unigine valley

Cons: -For some reasons this card is artifacting on some games, usually on older ones. I think its memory related. The memory seems to overheat. I never got a problem with it when the fans where spinning at maximum which is why It artifact on games with lower settings.

Other Thoughts: I overclocked it once so I can't return it. But I swear its didn't overheat when I overclocked it so the artifacts aren't related.
I only increased the core clock settings. I didn't touch the memory clock or the voltage.
