4 out of 5 eggsVery powerful card, Killed my power supply.

Pros: *Powerful

*Plays arma 3 single player on ultra at 50fps...multiplayer is 20fps(arma 3 multiplayer is horribly optimized)

*Plays farcry 4 at highest settings without a problem

*Can play every 2014 mainstream game on high.

*Great performance to price ratio.

Cons: *It's big, I just barley got it to fit into my case, but it did fit after moving some wires.

*Literally killed my 650watt power supply.

Other Thoughts: So it's the day after Christmas, I have been feeling like a kid in a candy store all day because I just got this powerful card and it's running all theses games with great graphics at good fps.

I fire up one of my more demanding games farcry on max settings and it looks fantastic. I got a quest to climb some radio tower on a mountain and half way up it my computer shuts off unexpectedly. I try to turn it on again but no good.

I then precede to open up my case and a small cloud of smoke comes out, I was stunned to say the least. I start going through the components to see what happened.

At first I thought it was this card but after changing it out my pc would still not start, should have know you can't slay a beast that easy.

Then I checked my power supply and it smelled like someone took a flame thrower to it, really hot as well.

Changed it out with a backup and my pc works just fine now; it's a lower watt power supply less then 500 so I can't use this card yet, I have to wait for the new power supply I had to buy to get here....now time for some old fashioned 30fps on low gameplay for a week.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value card

Pros: Low price and good performance. Overclocked pretty well without any voltage adjustments, running 1100/1575 with no problems. I like that it has 3GB of RAM which should make it a little more future proof.

Cons: Can't really think of any cons.

Other Thoughts: My wifes computer couldn't handle the new WoW expansion very well, had to use pretty low quality settings. So I moved the R9 270 I had to her computer and bought this one for myself. It was a pretty noticeable upgrade compared to the 270 and I'm very happy with it. The build quality seems good and the fans aren't noisy at all so it seems like it will last a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase.

Pros: For the price (cyber monday $175), you cant go wrong with this card.
1. Easy installation; updated drivers were detected instantly
2. 3D PassMark score of 4705
3. the 10.3" length fits great inside the HAF 912 case without having to remove the 3.5" HD bay.
4. Stays frosty at ~32C idle, ~50C under load
5. Overclocking is easy with the AMD CCC

Very happy with this card, since it replaced a Sapphire HD6850

Cons: I didn't buy 2.

Other Thoughts: The following games were installed on a Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SSD and tested using Ultra settings.
FarCry4: ~50fps
Battlefield4: ~60-70fps
Watch Dogs: ~35-40fps

Waiting to get Dragon Age Inquisition to benchmark... I may update this thread later with its fps

Some reviews state that the card is "Huge", but I dare you to find a decent card under 10". Others state that cooling is an issue, but if you maximize airflow and know how to properly install your case fans, you will be OK. Some state the card is "Very Loud", but once again, maximize airflow and the card wont rev up its fans. Someone also stated that the card will not OC, but I have had NO issues overclocking this card using the AMD CCC.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't Use Boost/OC Speeds, Careful with Obsidian 250D Case

Pros: Able to play games well, however it would be better if it were using the boost/overclock speeds I set it to...

Cons: This card will not utilize the boost OR overclock speeds I set it to. All monitoring is being done with GPU-Z and Unigine Heaven. No matter what overclock program I use (AMD CCC, MSI Afterburner, Sapphire TRIXX), the card will simply not overclock or use it's boost speeds.

GPU-Z sees that the card has a default clock speed of 940MHz, which is the boost speed. However, during Unigine Heaven with max settings the card only ever reaches 850MHz, which is the stock reference card speeds.

Even by adjusting the power limit in any of those overclocking programs to +20% the card will STILL not reach the overclock speeds.

What is curious, however, is the card ONCE was hitting the overclocked speeds, or at least Unigine Heaven reported it was. I powered my computer off for the night and I have never again been able to hit the boost/OC speeds.

I've been in contact with Sapphire Tech Support trying to get this fixed, at the rate of about 2 messages per day (it's going very slow...). The rep told me to use the Boost Bios switch on the card, which is non-existent. The only switch on the card is a UEFI mode switch which did nothing to fix my problem.

Oh, my card also has a 61.8% ASIC quality reading from GPU-Z which *can* affect power draw and overclocking ability. I may have just gotten an extremely poor quality card, who knows. If the situation gets resolved I'll update this review.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the clock issues I'm having, the PCI slot bracket is a little on the tall side, which made installing this card in a Corsair Obsidian 250D challenging. If you go with this setup, you'll need to put the card in the motherboard and THEN place the motherboard and card combo inside the case. If I ever have this card out again I'm planning on just using a dremel to make it fit a little easier.

4 out of 5 eggsBigger Bang for your buck

Pros: Great price, The Sapphire brand doesn't disappoint with the performance. Packaging was nice. Install was really easy. Has tripple the power of my older 1 GB ATI HD 6800. The look of the card screams "I am a beast"

Cons: It is very loud. I can still hear it with my Turtle Beach headphones on. Had to buy a whole new power supply and my old one didn't meet the requirements of the card. Generates a lot of heat. Will be looking into other cooling options

5 out of 5 eggsGood price and bundle

Pros: I have had for a bit over a month, no issues. SC is a great game in making, and so far it handles it in high settings no issues.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The games bundle is great.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I just started getting back into computers so all the graphics card choices were daunting to me. I picked this one because it was on sale during cyber monday and had a pretty decent rebate as well. I am able to run most games at 50+ FPS on max settings so I'm happy with the results! Great card!

Cons: None that I can think of at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic upgrade

Pros: Great performance, great cooling, great everything.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was a fantastic upgrade from my XFX 6870 2GB card. I'm not typically the kind of person who needs the latest and greatest video card, so I was a little weary buying a new card with the 6870 still able to play most everything at medium-to-high settings.

However, after biting the bullet, I have no regrets. The performance difference is fantastic, and after selling the 6870 for $80, the cost of the upgrade was well worth it. Definitely breathed some life into an aging 4-year-old build.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for my first gaming build

Pros: I installed this card for my first gaming build and it runs great. When I check my case openings while running games, it's mainly my CPU that is getting warm while the opening right next to my card is still cool. I haven't played any real modern taxing games so far such as BF4 or Dragon Age, however. I currently try out PlanetSide 2, Guild Wars 2, and SimCity, and this card runs all of them very well on high settings. The only game where my FPS drops down to about 15-20 is Guild Wars 2, but only during world boss fights. I don't blame this particular card for that, because honestly it's working hard to manage 40-60 people, a world boss and it's animations, and high graphics rendering at the same time. Even though my FPS dropped down to that level however, I can still move my character around and fight very decently, whereas other people always complain about not being able to move very much at all.

Cons: None so far
