4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very easy install - computer accepted right away - no problems. Good video clarity.

Cons: does not knowledge both the VGA cable and the DVI cable at the same time, on one monitor. But does work one or the other at a time.

2 out of 5 eggsNice, but flakey

Pros: Inexpensive, nice quality image, many features.

Cons: Not trivial to install. Motherboard-based graphics must be disabled for card to be recognized by OS. I had a problem where the screen would blink on and off during window scrolling. Not flicker, but actually shut off. RMA-ing the card to see if a repalcement does the same.

4 out of 5 eggsGood vid card

Pros: No problems for 4 months now and I use this to hook up my 60'' HDTV as the monitor. Doesn't over heat and I leave it on overnight most of the time. Good price, fast shipping, reliable card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Going strong for months now!

4 out of 5 eggsOld School

Pros: Good card, but seriously there are better options if you were thinking of getting this for gaming, even for a pci slot.

Fan-less, works well in a low airflow case, doesn't get too hot.

Excellent for any server type system where the motherboard does not have onboard video.

Cons: Not for gaming.

Looses 1 star for the price, you can get a decent modern graphics card for a few bucks more, im surprized they can still sell these things without rebates. only bought because there was a XX rebate at the time, and you cant go wrong with a radeon 7000.

Other Thoughts: Use for replacing video cards in workstations and systems that don't need to do anything graphically intense.

Pros: Plug and Play as promised. No issues at all. I used it to add an additional monitor to a system and it worked straight out of the box like a charm.

Cons: None to speak of.....

2 out of 5 eggsincompatability issue

Pros: Worked fine in two other computers but not in the one we bought it for.

Cons: Won't work in a Dell Dimension 2400. Upated bios, updated drivers, used the ones on the included cd, tried every trick in the book. Works fine in two other computers we tried it in, including another newer Dell, but not in this one. Keep getting ATI driver error during boot. Giving up and buying another brand.

Other Thoughts: Could still be installer error, but shouldn't be this hard to make work. Local computer shop couldn't make it work either.

4 out of 5 eggsTB6387

Pros: Excellent card if you do not game, just want to add a low profile card to increase airflow or an S-Video out (see Other Thoughts) and your mobo doesn't have an AGP or PCIe slot.

Cons: None, really. You get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to be used in my MythTV build using an old Dell box that didn't have a TV out. I didn't research enough before ordering and bought a chipset that is not fully compatible with Linux. If you plan on using with 'nix make sure to get a Radeon 8500 or above. (Linux distro was MythDora with Fedora Core 6)
