1 out of 5 eggsGeCube gives poor customer service

Pros: GeCube release of ATI graphics card has the same excellent specs, best AGP card model for 2D graphics

Cons: card would not post in my Dell Precision 330. This turned out to be a known defect in the product design. ATI is fixing their own retail products, but GeCube has not answered any of my many customer support emails. They are whitelisted my spam filter. No other way to reach them.

Other Thoughts: I won't buy GeCube again. My money and time were wasted.

2 out of 5 eggsSevere lockups encountered

Pros: Significant performance improvement over previous Radeon 9600 card w/256MB of video RAM. Very smooth gameplay on most new games as well, at standard resolutions/detail.

Cons: Severe lockups encountered frequently. I could not play any serious game (under both Windows & Linux) without encountering a system lockup/freeze after anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes. Case heat & system stability is not the problem because I tested both with the case open & closed, ventilated, and I even disconnected all non-essential hard drives, both when our A/C was on & off. Exactly the same behavior regardless of conditions.

Other Thoughts: I had no other complaints, really, but if I cannot play a game stably with the video card, what is it worth? Sadly, since it's past 30 days when I discovered the problem was hardware & not software (the problem persisted with multiple driver revisions), my only chance is to deal with Gecube directly.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems like a nice card

Pros: its rocking the twin Dvi slots...512mem core clocks at 500 and memclocks at 800 big up grade from my 9700pro... which that babi still kicks.... 263 core clock 526 memclock now im dayme near doubling wat i use to have.. i thing ill be ok...

Cons: takes 2 much 2 kick it... i had 2 buy another mobo because my stock dell board out of my 4500 could not run it... also with the new mobo i need a need a new case and power supply.. and another side effect is that i need a hole set of ram.. the ^ side it that i need to upgrade any ways.. the bad part is that i shoulda went pciE... how i feel like that was a waste.

Other Thoughts: cool cooling design. very good price, new egg kicks... good shiping also... i will double that when ever i get my mobo... and once i get it up and running i will post back

2 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Looks really cool...

Cons: I bought this as a replacement for my Radeon 9800 pro and was excited when i first got it... I pluged it in and it wouldnt do anything. fan just spun. I RMAed it and found out that they were out of stock. Newegg is cool though I got my money back promptly.

Other Thoughts: Might be a good card i dont know. Since its out of stock I went ahead and bought a Radeon X1800 256bit and 512 GDDR3... more expensive but why not.

3 out of 5 eggsNot to impressed

Pros: memory size and price

Cons: speed

Other Thoughts: This card is considerably slower than the 128mb Nvidia 6600GT it was intended to replace. I am very dissapointed with the performance of this card in comparison. And the 6600gt is about the same price.

5 out of 5 eggsGECUBE GC-RX1600PGA2-E3 Radeon X1600PRO 512MB

Pros: Arrived nicely packaged, the graphics card itself is attractive with what appears to be ample cooling capabilities for the processor. The installation was straight forward enough and the directions in the start guide were very clear. loading the accompanying software was easy and the setup was relatively clear as new software is concerned (new to me anyway). The video quality appears to be very good actually, I've played a few games with my grandson and it appears to work quite well. For the price I'd have to say this is a bargain.

Cons: None thus far

Other Thoughts: I might add the fact that this card replaced a Nvidia Riva TNT2 that's been in my computer since....well forever ;This is a very welcome upgrade based on that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for most Games

Pros: cheap price, sm3, 512md ram, nice avivo support. This thing runs doom3 at ultra high with 4xaa and no slow down at all.I overclocked this thing to 640mhz from 500mhz !!!

Cons: Can't play BF2 on hi with out mad slow down. but I think it's from my old 4x agp and my slow 2.4ghz P4. O ya no soft shadows in fear or condemned at max with out some slow down. but how cares this ting is only $XXX bones

Other Thoughts: If you have a old card like a FX 5700Ultra as I had, this well be a huge upgrade for you.But if you have a 9700 or 9800 look for the next step up like a 7800GS or X850XT PE. (for agp CARDS that is)

4 out of 5 eggsIt works nice.

Pros: 512MB Memory, 12 Pixle pipes, runs great on my 64bit XP-Pro.
I haven't tried to do anything incredable with it, I just wanted 2 DVI ports. A bunch of cool stuff to make it go in the software,{I donwnloaded the 64bit drivers from ATI}.

Cons: Just being nit-picky, but I can't get seperate wallpapers on my different monitors. {I know, "boo-freakin'-hoo".}

Other Thoughts: YOU SHOULD HAVE A 400 watt POWER SUPPLY, THAT IS THE MINIMUM RECOMENDED BY GeCube on their website.{That wasn't a problem I needed to get a new PSU anyway, the fan was dieing on my 350 watt.
It seems to have more "one-key" application set-up features than the Nvidia cards I've used. The wallpaper thing is the only thing I could possibly whine about. {XP-Pro 64bit doesn't seem to have the "WEB" feature that would alow me to just use the Desktop+Customize Desktop+Web-tab.} Since I can't give it a 4.75 rating I gave it a 4.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid this card.

Pros: Graphics look good until they games crash. ATI's Gameshadow is nice (free and finds updates for your drivers and updates for games)

Cons: Horrible card. My screens flicker and windows takes an extra minute to boot up. If install the latest driver (v6.5) no 3d games will run and even firefox flickers as I scroll down a website. With the driver that came with my card (v6.1) I've gotten the blue screen of death once and the my screens have completely frozen several times. Unless anyone would like to buy my card off me, avoid this video card.

Other Thoughts: NVIDIA all the way. Their software has more options and seems way less buggy.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: graphic quality is awesome i chose this one over the sapphire because of the better cooling

Cons: died after one one day of use in the middle of NFSMW ...no temperature monitor although i doubt heat was an issue in the thing dying
