Good second card for old system!

Pros: Cheap. Small and quiet. Can add extra monitors to AGP system via PCI.

Cons: Ancient. For office and internet (2D) use only. Probably slower than most integrated graphics systems made in the past 2 years.

Other Thoughts: I am using it to run a second lcd on an old system that had only one DVI port on it's AGP graphics card (my 19inch ASUS widescreen didn't like my original card's VGA port and I needed it's DVI to drive a 32 inch LCD TV). OUT OF THE BOX THIS CARD WILL NOT DRIVE A WIDESCREEN LCD. THE RESOLUTIONS LISTED ON THE BOX DO NOT MATCH TYPICAL WIDESCREEN LCD NATIVE SETTINGS. I HAD TO INSTALL THE NEWEST VERSION OF CATALYST CONTROL CENTER AFTER I INSTALLED THE 9250'S DRIVER AND FORCE THE CARD TO DISPLAY 1400 X 900. AFTER THAT THE OUTPUT LOOKED GREAT.

Pros: This card was easy to setup with windows XP. I installed it in a gateway 300S form factor case and fits great in a PCI slot. Love the option of DVI or D-SUB. Works with my 160 Watt power supply.

Cons: This card should come with low profile brackets and could use a cooling fan.

Other Thoughts: If you take the regular bracket off you can then use a low profile bracket to customize your case fit. XFX makes a really good low profile bracket kit. Could use a cooling fan.

Excellent for business use and dual monitors

Pros: We bought this product after making the mistake of purchasing a fleet of the Dell Optiplex with short card slots. These slots will not allow for any real upgrades. The card work perfect on 4 systems running dual 17inch monitors at high res with video on one screen and the web on another. Much faster than the laptops with video docking stations, no delays or heat issues (no fan on this model).

Cons: Don’t think you are buying a “lo-profile card.” New Egg should check this out as they are “shorter” in size but not in slot size. We took off the slot plate (modified) and they work perfect. Also, no real need for the s-video which could save the space for the ATI techs looking at reviews .

Other Thoughts: If you need a good graphics card with dual monitors for business I would highly recommend, just order two more of these cards for our remaining Dell boxes!
