Pros: Easy install, economical for a 10 year old computer running windows 98se. Improved* display to normal. One of the only 2x-4x AGP available.

Cons: Occasional display problems after hour or two, is worse than old video card it replaced. Pixelates and blurry. Restart after 5 to 10 min back to normal.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Card is cheap, works great in Pentimum 3 comptuers, and it's 2X/4X AGP which is hard to find. This video card enabled me to hook up my PC to my TV using the S-Video port, and plays my Mame32 video games like Pac-Man and Q-Bert just fine. A good upgrade for older PC's with a AGP slot.

Cons: None so far, I've only had the card for two weeks. But I love it.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent for the money

Pros: It's fairly cheap. The core runs cool. Passively cooled.

Cons: The only gripe I have, is the VGA output was a bit wonky. The image on the screen would shutter and shift a bit. I put a VGA to DVI adapter on the end, and attached it to the DVI and it works fine that way. No picture shutter or anything.

Other Thoughts: The card is serving it's purpose well, and cheaply. Didn't need spectacular picture or performance.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great product for the job. I wanted to turn my old Pentium III 550Mhz into an MP3 jukebox for the living room, so I replaced the old video card with this one so I could hook it up to the TV (a 32" SD). Picture is clear and can run games for the time. No fan on it was a plus for me.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This little card gave new life for my old PC.

2 out of 5 eggsBad picture

Pros: It was cheap, so not much of a loss.

Cons: I bought this item based on seeing (in the pictures) a low-profile item. What I received was not low-profile, however, and therefore cannot fit in the computer for which I bought it. This is particularly frustrating as it is not an item defect, per se, but false information from Newegg. Normally, I don't have complaints about Newegg, but this is just wasted money that could be avoided with the correct information.

Other Thoughts: Turns out the computer in which this was supposed to go finally bit it the day after I applied for the RMA, so at least I'm not in a rush to replace it anymore.

4 out of 5 eggsGecube 7000

Pros: This card was a great install, my M810L(v.7.0a) mainboard recognized it immediately and it is functioning well for the cost of the product. With the 2X/4X limitations it is well worth the money and it doe's work better then the onboard 630/730Video.

Cons: Even though it works better there are limitations a nd the benchmark scores are just above the original onboard score, 7% better.

Other Thoughts: If the money is there then the best bet is to buy a whole new motherboard bundle with up to date graffics (256)if not the next best thing for said board is the MX400, So far it is functioning great even after leaving the unit on for 96 hours straight.

2 out of 5 eggsThe most basic card.

Pros: If you only need the hook up for your monitor or TV.

Cons: Spend just a few dollars more for something that is usable.

Other Thoughts: Kids are on here playing. (Concerning the last few reviews)

5 out of 5 eggsGood replacement for the older machine

Pros: Easy installation, setup in about 5 minutes, was fine for saving my disabled friends 10 year old computer for a little while longer.

Huge step up from the built in Trident 8mb integrated graphics.

Cons: Its considerably slower then the AGP 4X/8X version of the Geforce 2 MX Graphics card.

Other Thoughts: If you absolutely must extend the life of your very basic needs computer, dont spend more then you have to, this is the perfect choice for a twenty.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a gaming card

Pros: For starters its a DX8 video card...WHICH MEANS NO GAMES LIKE CRYSIS OF COD4 OR ANY OTHER MODERN GAME!!! Those games require at a minimum dx9! and even if you got the game to run on this card...the 64mb frame buffer would give you a paltry frame rate of maybe 10 fps...Its also an AGP based card which m eans most newer computers WILL NOT SUPPORT IT, a card like this exists in the event that your integrated graphics chip goes *boom*.

Cons: Again, its a dx 8 API...which means no games....ok, age of empires 2 and doom (the original) will work but anything new WILL NOT WORK!
Crysis will not work with it...the DX 8 will not let it happen...the pizel pipeline (1) won't cut it in ANY 3-d app...

Other Thoughts: The card has its usefulness, as long as you are not a power user, its fine for windows based apps and games such as minesweeper...but any 3-d apps will not work, and that includes the basic peggle. so if you surf the web....do word processing and e-mail and your integrated chip is kaput, then this is a cheap fix...if you do games...look elswhere
