4 out of 5 eggsDecent cheap card.

Pros: It got 10,000 marks in 3dMark 06. I've tested it so far in Oblivion, playing it in the starting dungeon levels I get an average 80 fps inside with graphics turned completely up. This is with HDR on as well as antialiasing at 2x.

It overclocks very well, mine auto tuned up to 769/1034.

Cons: It does run hot. I used a 3rd party app that newegg won't allow me to type and set the fan on mine to 65% constant speed. It idles like this at about 35 degrees and peaks at around 70 degrees in game. I could probably get it to run a lot cooler with the fan at 100%, but then it sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

It's not a 8800 Ultra, but for the price I didn't expect it to be.

Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget like most of us, this is a great mid range card. Blows my old 6600gt out of the water.

5 out of 5 eggsHells yeah!

Pros: Upgraded from an x850xt 256mb. HUGE IMPROVEMENT! This card maxes out Call of Juarez, Bioshock, Medieval 2 Total War, Battle for Middle Earth 1+2, Call of Duty 2 and 4, Supreme Commander, etc. I'm talking 1680x1050, 2x AA, max detail, max shaders/shadows, max AF, and all with 40+ FPS! Very good card!

Cons: Drivers are horrible, d/l omega drivers from radeon's website... they are much better. Also this card cant handle UT3 well at all on my rig, which is the reason I bought the card in the first place. Still

Other Thoughts: 3.0ghz pentium D, 2gb g.skill ram, 700 mb sata hdd, asus aw8 800mhz FSB motherboard

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very quiet. Made video/pictures look better on my computer. Run WoW at 65FPS with everything on High. Worth $150.00

Cons: Huge card. Slow shipping (<suprising). I thought I would pull a lot more FPS out of WoW but oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome deal even w/out PCI x 2.0

Pros: The PCI-E 2.0 backwards compatibility alone makes this thing worth the money. On top of that, it outperforms 2 8600gts in SLI (see tomshardware). I'm running this card on my PCI-E x16 mobo and it still blows my old OCed x800 out of the water. (NOTE: PCI-E 2.0 has twice the bandwidth). So I can't wait to get a PCI-E 2.0 mobo and play this.

Cons: 512MB of ram would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Plays Planetside on max settings never dipping below 30 FPS (even when loading new areas). I plan on getting at least another 1 or maybe 2 of these in a PCI 2.0 Crossfire X config.

5 out of 5 eggsBiggest Bang for your Buck

Pros: biggest bang for your buck according to sources such as tom's hardware. A little more then the 8600 and it preforms way better. I haven't actually got the card yet but ive done what seems like 3 days of research to make sure i was getting a card that is capable of doing what i want to do.

Cons: None Really

5 out of 5 eggsCrossfire X ready

Pros: ALERT !!!!! ATI states that with all of the new 3000 Series Video cards there is NO..NO...NO need for the bridge as it is internal. Again..ATI states if the card is crossfire X compatible..and they all are....you don't need the bridge. Haven't tried it that way yet...might be interesting if someone did!!!!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for your budget

Pros: I have been running this card for around 2 weeks now. I’ve read a few other reviews on here that mention the card running both hot and loud, but I can gladly report I have had neither of these issues. Inside my case is pretty clean and I have a side wall mounted fan next to my PCIE slot so maybe that is why I haven’t had any temp issues. This card is great for anyone wanting to run newer games but is on a budget like me. Right now I am running this card and 2 gigs of ram and COD4, Gears, HL2 and BioShock are all on high/max settings and they run as smooth as butter. I am also running Crysis on medium settings as smooth as the others. Gecube has bundled this thing with accessories that I didn’t even knew existed, so good on them for extras.

Cons: Drivers that came on the CD would not work with windows vista regardless of the fact that it states on the front of the box/cd that the drivers are vista ready. A quick jump onto Radeons site to download the proper drivers fixed this up in a jiff though.

Other Thoughts: I would say go for it. Good card.
