5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great performance for the price. Having HDMI on board with 1080p output is great. Can play the fps games that I have. I am very happy with my purchase.

Cons: Card is big...not as big as some make it out to be but still big. I have a mid sized tower and as others have stated the card is a two-PCI slot card it also caused me to sacrifice one of my hard drives.

Other Thoughts: I really got this card because of the price/performance ratio and the on board hdmi output. It works great. I upgraded from a sapphire card and this card is easly 3x as large so it was a bit of a shock. I paired this with a sony Blu-Ray drive and am finally getting the most out of my hdtv.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a dream

Pros: Works perfectly for everything I do. Runs Oblivion maxed out at around 30-40 fps; I stray away from AA since you can't use DX10.1 with an NVidia card, but HD Lighting looks just as good. Other games I play include Halo 2 (80-120 fps) and Crysis (about 30 on medium). Any older games get HUGE framerates with no spikes. This card cannot disappoint you for the vast majority of video card utilities. I'm expecting great results from Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. For $143, you will not find a better value. You can spend $50 more on the Radeon 4850 and achieve about 5% better performance, so if 5% is worth $50 to you, you might as well spend $600 for only twice the performance.

NOTE FOR THOSE WANTING TO SLI: This card gains a huge 77% AVERAGE FPS BOOST from going SLI, with that percentage GROWING as the games become more demanding. According to the benchmarks, you will be able to play all current games maxed out with high fps (Crysis being the lowest at around 25-30). Great SLI potential.

Cons: Physically big, but this is no new "problem." Most cases can handle just one. In my HP stock case, the card could be even longer with no consequence. Dell cases may have a problem, though.

Other Thoughts: Using Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 3gb DDR2 533 (PC2 4200), and XCLIO 500W GOODPOWER on Vista 32b. No compatibility problems. I've overclocked this thing to 750/1080/1800 with no stability issues yet, fan running at fixed speed 75% with the temp never going over 65 celcius. I could probably overclock it more, but why? It does everything I need it to.

The 1gb version of the 9600gt provides marginal performance boosts as the stream processors and core clock speeds remain the same with the same overclocking potential. Maybe if it was GDDR4 or GDDR5, 512mb more memory would make a significant difference, but as it is that much memory just gets bottlenecked to the point of cost-inefficiancy.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: This card is a beast. Handles DirectX10 games beautifully. The variety of ports is great. I have it hooked up to a 42" HP Plasma with HDMI and it is just wonderful.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: I love this card so much that I am about to buy a second one to SLI them.

5 out of 5 eggsThis card is a beast!!!

Pros: This card is a total beast. It is big but it has a huge heatsink so it could probably be overclocked pretty good without an aftermarket fan. LOADS of connectors for all your current and future needs.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card

Pros: Amazing card, overclocked, all the ports you'd ever need plus the cables to use them with, i heard the 9600 GT was good but upgrading from a 7800 GTX to this card was "wow"

Cons: No HDMI or DisplayPort Cable, but other then that no cons, nothing bad about this card

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why people call this card "Huge", it's exactly the same size as my 7800 GTX (which was a dual-slot card), my 8800 GTS (320 meg and 640 meg, and 512 meg) aswell as my two 8800 GTs are bigger then this card, so i guess i'm just use to it

5 out of 5 eggsNice card so far

Pros: Installed easy, looks good, is kind of big but really not to bad, I was still able to use my second inside fan on my antec 900 with the card installed. Windows Vista x32 and x64 both found drivers right away. Brought my windows scores from 3 to 5.9 as soon as the drivers were in.

Cons: Its fat, covers my pcie and pci slots that are on the fan side of the card...so basically plan to loose 2 of your expansion slots depending on your mobo (biostar t-force for me)

Other Thoughts: Windows runs great so far for me with 22 inch LG at highest res...I haven't gotten to any games yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great card for the price. 9600GT w/ 512 megs gddr3, dual link dvi + Hdmi + DisplayPort w/ decent factory overclocks for such a low price? Clearly i will be buying another!

Cons: People say "HUGE" in the review, and your like ok. Then you open the box and your like dear LORD. The orange boxy enclosure thing is excessive. When i go SLI it will come off of both. Make sure your board has enough slots for your needs; factoring in the bigness of this card.

Other Thoughts: i even like the VDOTool. With it installed i have never even heard the fan on this thing, except at startup. Never gone above 50 deg.

5 out of 5 eggsPALiT 9600 Sonic

Pros: Great card. Overclocks to 800 Mhz core 1150 Memory without any glitches and 43 C under heavy load. I love it. Have not tried in SLI, although I would like to. I have read complaints about the display port and SLI mode, I would just do some research. It is a GREAT value if you want to run a single card on a single monitor I can verify that.

Cons: None that I have found.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a MSI NX8600GT-T2D256E OC card and more than doubled the performance.
Running Athlon AM2 6000 w/ Thermaltake Mini -Typhoon, MSI KN9 Platinum 570 SLI board, 2 GB GSkill 800 Mhz and Samsung 216BW on highest res. Love this system, for the price it cant be beat.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card!!

Pros: Price, speed and quality. Card works great under both windows and linux. Linux drivers are a little harder to find than the normal windows driver, as it is currently beta. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

Cons: None really

1 out of 5 eggsWhat a waste

Pros: good single card for regular monitor

Cons: NO ONLINE SUPPORT!!Sent a few emails with no response. VDO OC tool doesnt work for sli or 64bit, so no fan control. And under the "dynamic fan speed" it never changes. And you cant monitor the temps. Trying to run conan and getting graphical glitches under stock settings in SLI. Website doesnt have updated drivers. Need I go on? Don't get this card, and I'd stay away from this manufacturer all together.

Other Thoughts: Wasted $400
