2 out of 5 eggsPalit mean Burn It in Slovak

Pros: I bought 2 and set up SLI. They worked for 2 months. NEWEGG rocks.

Cons: Problems started when watching movie, then my 2nd monitor could not be attached and at last my PC started to freeze when watching movies...I didn't even play games and they failed

Manufacturer Response:

I'm sorry you feel this way. We would be happy to replace defective cards. Simply fill out the return form at http://www.palit.biz/main/rma.php?lang=us.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns great

Pros: Runs great right out of the box. No problems. The 1GB is welcome for us hard core on-line gamers that run multiple clients.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Just make sure as with all video card upgrades you have adequate power and good case ventilation.

Manufacturer Response:

Nice. I like 1GB. Reviews don't always do it justice but I swear things just feel smoother on a 1GB card for me. It's not like it increases my framerate really, more like the frame rate doesn't drop as low so it's not as jerky.

Just my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Card Ever!!!!!!!

Pros: This card is the best i've seen for a while now. It runs crysis on very high at a smooth 35-40 FPS. Its amazing! The card stays at a decent tempurature of around 41-43 degrees celcius with crysis on medium or high. If you buy this car you won't regret it, because the price is great and the preformance is high! what more can you ask for?

Cons: The only con I can think about is that it too awesome!

Manufacturer Response:

Fantastic.

I'm beginning to run out of adjectives and way to say thinks.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing

Pros: great card for your money. runs crysis on very high 40 fps (highest res. has a little tearing). i love it. I have a dual core 3.14 and 4 gigs of ram so the card doesn't do it all. if you put this card in a low end machine (not to say mines amazing or anything) you might not get the same performance.

Cons: its gone down in price. i bought mine for 240. now its just 200. it also gets kinda hot.

Other Thoughts: if your on the fence about this card because you want performance but not the big price? get this card.

Manufacturer Response:

Thanks for your support.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD

Pros: Factory overclocked. This card OCed pretty high for me @ 740mhz core and never got hot. PALIT makes one good cooler for this thing. Believe it or not, the extra 1gb memory actually does help if you are running really high resolutions. This is a great workstation card.

Cons: Price is a bit high now. Its not worth it to get this card for 199 when you can get a 9800gtx+ or an HD4850 for cheaper. 1GB memory ONLY helps if you have super high resolutions (higher than 1080p). Even at 1080p the resolution is too low to see a difference.

Other Thoughts: What can i say, i loved the card but i payed about $150 after rebate a few months ago.

Manufacturer Response:

Thanks for buying a Palit card!

Ya, prices always go down. I try to never look up the price of something I buy after I buy it. It's a very competitive market.

We're doing some work with a couple different game developers to show some other places 1GB of video RAM helps now. Age of Conan is a good example. AoC allows you to extend the draw distance of high res textures and the extra RAM really saves your frame rate when you do that, even at lower resolutions.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Love it! All my friends and myself have owned at least 3 months and none of us have had problems.

Cons: Its big.

Other Thoughts: Dont understand how sooo many people have problems with this card. In total, there are 7 people, including myself that use the card and have never had a problem. You people that have these problems with this graphics cards must either have horrible luck or just don't know how to use these cards and need some teaching.

Manufacturer Response:

Thanks for buying a Palit card!

3 out of 5 eggsBe wary

Pros: Great card when it works. Plays every game but Crysis at milky smooth framerates, and Crysis ain't bad.

Cons: I've had the same VRAM issues as others. First card went bad after a month. Replacement is already acting up. I've underclocked the memory to allieviate the problem... here's hoping it works.

Other Thoughts: I hear Palit has a friendly support team, so I think I'll be alright. But if I had it to do over again, I'd get the 512mb from MSI, which is just as fast and selling for the same price.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card good price

Pros: Very fast, i have two but due to problems with my mobo only running 1, I can run crysis at full settings with virtually no lag, card stays relatively cool other than rear copper plate

Cons: big card takes two pci slots which is kind of annoying. sometimes rear copper plate gets very very hot, so far not an issue with my system though.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible card

Pros: None at all. I went through 5 of these cards and all failed over time. The only Pro here is Newegg which took the last two back even though I had already sent in for the rebates. Newegg will ALWAYS get my business from now on. They are absolutely outstanding in all regards!

Cons: This card is a dud. I don't know what the deal is but I went through 5 of them in 3 months, 3 of which were DOA. Two friends of mine ordered these cards at the same time as me and theirs have since failed as well. Avoid these things like the plague.

Other Thoughts: My personal feeling on why this card has issues is the memory mounted on the back of the card which only has a copper plate for cooling (no fins on it) and as far as I could tell there was no connection to the front plate to allow heat to move to the opposite side where the fan could cool it. This plate would get blistering hot when running a game, and too hot to touch even when idle. Using it in a 780i SLI motherboard probably magnifies the problem due to the nForce chipset fan blowing directly on the card's plate with roasting hot air.

3 out of 5 eggskinda concerned...

Pros: fast, cheap, good detail....when it works....

Cons: the card is large, but bearable and understandable. however, at the time i bought this card there were some RAM issues with this product, im not sure if it has changed. My card worked perfectly fine for the first month, then after that it sometimes artifacts and messes up when i start up my computer...would RMA but I already sent the UPC for rebate.

Other Thoughts: after searching online for reasons why my card would mess up i discovered that 1 gb is kinda not needed and that 512mb is what programs use today. If i knew this, i would have bought the cheaper 512 mb cards.
