5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: great card, awesome in single or sli.

Cons: I dont have a few more.

Other Thoughts: had it for about 7 months now and havent had any issues like i have with the old 8800gtx. Got 2 in SLI and its even better.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: nice design and cooling

Cons: I bought an identical card 2 months ago in another store and that card has 2-8 pins connectors. So I bought this one at Newegg but the card has only 2-6 pins connectors and 448 cores instead of 480.I have them in SLI but I can't overclock them since the new one cannot follow the OC of the first one .It can't go higher than 625/1700 but I can OC the first one to 725/1875 on air. I'm really disapointed about this card and I didn't know Pallit was making different cards on the same name without telling it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest card so far

Pros: in some reviews people say it´s big actually is shorter than most cards it´s sorter than my old evga gtx 275oc shorter than other gtx 470 (they don´t use the reference PCB) which is good! low temps idle 43-46 load never seen them above 75 in any game.. great overall

Cons: It´s noisy after the 70% fan speed it´s load, when idle barely noticeable but hey you got 2 fans after all and good temps compared to other cards

Other Thoughts: well 2 of this = very good idea
i said i dont get higher temps than 75c exept for one game i don´t know why, game is burnout paradice got around 85c
in the rest of the games (metro 2033, all crysis games, BBC 2, left for dead 1 & 2 borderlands, etc) non of them above 75c

1 out of 5 eggsWill never buy from Palit again

Pros: Heard great things about this card and Palit. When it worked, it delivered a great picture and high frame rates with all the eye-candy turned on.

Cons: Stopped working in less than 3 months. While in the middle of a game, just rebooted my PC and when it started up, had lines all over the screen. I removed it, blew it off with compressed air, and reinstalled it...same problem. Pulled it out and replaced with an EVGA 8800 GTS that after 6 years STILL works. I have had 10 plus EVGA cards since the days of the 6800 Ultra and NEVER had any EVGA card fail. This Palit card ran hot, caused reboots at least once a day, and finally died after less than 3 months. I'll give them a chance to make this right and if they do, I'll compose a follow-up review. Until then, skip this card, its been nothing but trouble for me.

Other Thoughts: I can live with a card failing. The real problem is Palit's customer support service. Frankly, its the worst I have ever used. When I called them I was told to visit a website (which was deathly slow) and fill out an RMA form. I did so, but never received any confirmation that the form was submitted or accepted. When I pressed submit I was taken back to the same blank form! I submitted it 3 times, just in case they missed the first 2, and called to confirm receipt of my RMA. The operator sent me to a voicemail where I left my details. I called the operator back and asked for confirmation and was told someone would get back within 24 hours! So, wait a minute, not only do I have to wait 5-10 business days for my RMA but I have to wait 24 hours just to confirm that the RMA was received? Hello? Have you heard of auto-reply? If a company can't even design a reasonable website or manage RMAs better than that, I sure don't want to buy their product and suggest you do not do so either.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! NICE

Pros: I recently put together a new pc.
I wanted some type of GTX 470 for it, solely based on the the data i was getting on a benchmarking site. It was showing highest performance for my budget bracket hands down.
The Card ran Red Faction Guerrilla at its max settings. Theirs nothing quite as satisfying as watching an entire building blow up into tiny bits of rubble, have it look real and have no lag. After playing red faction i purchased cysis in order to push the card even futher. I was able to run cysis at its max settings. I had no idea, that games had become so dam realistic. The game looks better than real life.
This card can take you into the age a almost photo realist gaming. I Could not be happier with the result.

Heres what im running

intel core i7-950
X58 sabertooth mother board
3x2 dims off ocz memory (Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK)
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALX 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"

Cons: Ok, this card is really big. It looks like my x52 sabertooth can Barely fit annother card like it, if i wanted to run 2 in sli. ... Barely

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: None

Cons: Failed in 5hrs.

Other Thoughts: It was working ok initially. After few hours it started giving all black and white lines on the screen. I formatted the OS, updated drivers and BIOS and nothing worked. I swapped the card with my old GPU and it was working fine. I am going to return it back.

3 out of 5 eggsErrors

Pros: Fast
Quiet (more so than my 9800)
cool (more so than my 9800)

Cons: Two 8-pin plugs and the MFG included a molex to 6pin adapter?? Not sure what's up with that...

I have had stability issues since I installed the card. Randomly my screen will go black, I'm still getting video input on my monitor but it's completely blank. Randomly the screen will freeze and small white boxes would appear all over the screen. I have had BSOD twice now. Lots of system restarts and crashes. Not good!

Other Thoughts: I have sent the MFG support an email. If you would like to see the MFGs response, please email me at vskwidd@cox.net.

I plan to try to return the card and get a replacement as I'm certain that this one is just a lemon. Palit is an excellent MFG and I trust them. I will contact newegg to see if I can request a replacement shortly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear VSkwidd,

We can replace you the card right away. Please follow the e-mail below and make sure to include your invoice.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite good

Pros: Works at 700/2000 70'C full load with 0.925V. Make yourself a favor and lower the core voltage as much as you can. It solves heat and power consumption issues.
I overclocked it to 848/2000 1.087V but it cooked the hard-drive in front of the inner exhaust.(Big mistake)

Cons: HEAT! I used to have a ceramic heater to keep me warm but now I have an NVIDIA card. I removed the front panel of my tower and made a tunnel from the box so it blows on my feet and doesn't cook the hard-drive.

Other Thoughts: Surprisingly good video card. No problems. It outperforms gtx 480 and 570 when overclocked.
