1 out of 5 eggsMeh...bad choice i guess.

Pros: Nice performance when it runs. I guess it would be the best bang for your $ if it works.

Cons: Get's way too hot, causing crashes and lockups. Heatsink is small and doesn't cover the the VRM's :/
Fan sounds like a jet engine when turned up anywhere above 80%.

Other Thoughts: I am not really picky about sound, but man..the fan puts out some noise. Now it is collecting dust on my shelf while i try to find a aftermarket heatsink that i can put on it to keep it cool. Hopefully that will stop the crashes and lockups. But i already bought a card to replace this one (it's in my PC right now), so i am in no hurry. I'll use it in a different build if i do get a better heatsink to fit on it.

Also, I can't seem to access the Palit website (page not found). Whatever i guess.. I'll figure it out. I should of done better research before i bought this card, my fault.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Graphics Card

Pros: The GeForce GTX 460 SE (Fermi) 1GB is a great card. I would recommend this card. Good 3dmarks score.

Cons: No cons for now.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Awesome performance, which met my expectations.

Cons: The cooling fan on auto does not cool the card enough to keep the card stable (40% speed) when using it to its full capacity. You have to set it manually on high, which is pretty loud. This is coming from a guy who really doesn't care about noise, since i have my volume on loud when gaming.

Other Thoughts: After 2 months, I started having crashes and BSOD's when maxing this card out, so i found out my card is getting too hot (90 C +). So i set profiles to turn up the fan speed automatically when it gets to a certain temperature or higher. Which makes the fan really loud but, i don't really care since my volume is so loud when i am gaming. This solved my crashing/BSOD problem. But it is still a nuisance (the noise). Seems like i should have gone with a dual fan-video card. I am just going to buy a Zalman aftermarket cooler for this card, which will cool it nice and quiet. I don't trust OEM coolers, whether it be for GPU's (unless it has 2 or more fans for GPU's) or CPU's, because they usually seem to be noisy, at least when trying cooling the product; when it is operating at it's full potential.

It is way louder than my Zalman CPU fan which is on the highest setting, which is saying a lot, and is louder than my 3, 120mm case fans running at 60 cfm's each.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Complaint Here

Pros: Runs Cool & Quiet.
Powerful enough to play Oblivion & Borderlands all Maxed Out at 1080p with a steady 50 - 60 FPS in both.
Very good price for the performance.

Cons: As long as the Rebate shows up this is a 5 egg product at this point.

Other Thoughts: Have not received a rebate yet, but it's only been 6 weeks and these things usually take at least 2x that long on avg.

2 out of 5 eggsOk for a bit

Pros: Great price, Quiet, decent preformace. Great price performace card.

Cons: Cooling doesn't seem adequate. My card just failed after 31 days. One day past the return/refund. Palit's website goes "Page cannot be found". Not a good sign.

Found there number and will call on monday when they are open.

Other Thoughts: My first card with Palit.....so can't say it's been good. I always give a company one mulligan.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid like the 10 plagues

Pros: Its fast if it works

Cons: If you do a google search on the nvidia forums you will find that many of these cards have constant problems, crashes, lockups, refuse to boot. And Nvidia is pretending there is nothing wrong. Many people have RMAed their card 3 times. Mine got progressively worse, from locks to crashes to refusing to boot.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't be fooled by the price

Pros: The price is right. Kinda. Never received the rebate so I could have gone with another company.

Cons: Purchased unit in October as I was more than satisfied with the price. When I received the unit itself, I had some concerns about the cooler, but figured that the design had been tested. I'm no longer convinced of that. After about 6 months (still waiting on that rebate), it started having VRAM corruption. Using the website's RMA system (which I had to google to find), I submitted my RMA....and received no confirmation? Strange, but looking online, I found this to be rather common. So I waited. A week or so later (really?!) a wild email approached! It's my RMA! Huzzah! I get all the documentation I can, and send it out to them.... and wait. This company was not built on communication. Again, I read elsewhere that this was the norm for Palit, so I wait. About three weeks go by and a package ends up on my doorstep (thanks for the heads-up it was coming!). Hey! It's from Palit! It's my replacement! And three hours into a gaming session.. WHADDAYA KNOW?! It's VRAM corruption!

Other Thoughts: Never buying another Palit product again. This is NOT a reputable company.

4 out of 5 eggsQuite Powerful

Pros: Build quality is solid. No problems during installation. It has an HDMI port which can mux audio as well.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: This isn't the most powerful card out there, but it's pretty impressive nonetheless. I'm not much of a gamer but I bought this for the visual effects work I do. It has been fantastic so far on both Debian and Windows 7 Ultimate.
