EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Dual Classified w/ EVGA ACX Cooler

The EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti is the best gaming GPU on the planet, delivering 25% more cores and exciting new technologies to take extreme gaming to a whole new level. This is pure performance accelerated, giving you the freedom to play every title at ultra settings and max resolutions on today's highest-definition displays.

Boost your gaming experience with a stunningly beautiful, quiet design. You get NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 for maximum clock speeds, PhysX and TXAA technologies for smooth, sharp graphics, and GeForce ShadowPlay to capture all your greatest gaming moments, automatically. Whether you're playing on stunning 4K monitors at extreme settings, or multiple monitors at 2560x1600, the GTX 780 Ti provides the horsepower to drive all your next-gen gaming visual experiences.

Of course, when paired up with EVGA's Award Winning ACX Cooling, you get reduced temperatures, silent operation, and best of all, unbelievable overclocking potential!

Key Features

The new Kepler SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.

NVIDIA GPU Boost Technology 2.0
Dynamically maximizes clock speeds to push performance to new levels and bring out the best in every game. Boost 2.0 allows complete control over Temperature Target and Power Target, allowing a new way to customize your overclock. Also, with the new EVGA Precision X, you can increase the voltage for maximum overclock!

Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel.

An in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity. Get the image quality of 8X MSAA with the performance hit of only 2X MSAA. This means a smoother gaming experience without the loss of FPS normally associated with this level of eye candy.

NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync
Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-Sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

Frame Rate Target
Set a target Frame Rate with EVGA Precision X and your card will automatically adjust the power/performance to meet that target. This feature delivers the ultimate in efficient gaming.

NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround
Imagine your gaming real estate across three displays in full HD 3D for a completely immersive gaming experience. With the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, you can use award-winning NVIDIA 3D Vision technology to build the world's first multi-display 3D gaming experience on your PC. Additionally, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti supports an accessory display for the ultimate gaming experience!

PCI Express 3.0
Offers double the bandwidth of PCI Express 2.0, for the highest data transfer speeds to allow for maximum performance in bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications. The EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z is still backwards compatible with all existing PCI Express motherboards.

Attention to Quality
EVGA's attention to quality is worth noting, from performance to appearance, even down to the packaging contents and protection. EVGA cards ship with cover caps over the critical components, eliminating worries about any dust build-up or damage that could occur.

Pixel Clock Control
Use EVGA Precision X to "overclock" your refresh rate. With the latest EVGA Precision X, you can now increase your pixel clock! This allows for increased refresh rates on select monitors, meaning smoother gameplay and reduced screen tearing!

EVGA Backplate (Optional)
Available on some SKU's, the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti backplate looks great, improves PCB strength and acts as a heatsink for the memory that is located on the backside of the card.

EVGA Warranty
New EVGA warranty that covers the graphics card, not the user. This means the only requirement for warranty coverage is ownership of the card during its warranty period.

Microsoft DirectX 12
Ready for Microsoft DirectX 12; the upcoming API designed to raise the bar on gaming performance and visual quality.

Unleash your favorite Android and PC games, movies, music and more with NVIDIA SHIELD – the ultimate gaming and entertainment portable.

NVIDIA G-SYNC monitors feature revolutionary NVIDIA technology that eliminates screen tearing while also reducing input lag. The result is the smoothest, fastest, and most responsive gaming monitor experience ever seen.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: n/a

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: Having a non-references PCB makes getting a back-plate and water-block slightly more difficult, but that is to be expected. Did not overclock as high as I was hoping but I'm not that much of an overclocker really.

Pros: Fast
Runs Cool

Boy this thing is a beast. Both in size and in the graphical sense. When i saw this thing, i thought it would be loud and produce a lot of heat, but the opposite is the true. The design is very nice and sleek.

Cons: No back plate.
The size can be trouble some if you have a small case.

5 out of 5 eggsComplete control:

Pros: The EVGA 780 ti classified is a very powerful card, I have had it for more than a year now, with no problems. I am seeing a lot of reviews about people saying its too loud. This card is fully customizable using the EVGA PrecisionX software you can change your auto fan speed curve, Frame rate target, voltage, core clock, boost clock, mem clock, ect... The List goes on, there should be no one complaining or giving a 1 egg for it being loud. It is most likely their ignorance to lower the fan speed or curve. I can barely hear the card when it is set to quiet curve. Now realize that there are pros and cons to using a very low fan speed.

This card is very overclockable, and EVGA has provided great quality fans and the ability to increase the rpm. This is a positive, not a con.

You can't complain about the graphics card being too big because before buying one you always check the size of it under specs and make sure it fits in your case. It is not EVGA's fault if it doesn't fit in your case you just have to opt for a smaller card. Its your job building the PC to know these things and take measurements.

Card runs very cool all the time at stock speeds.
Runs every game I play at ultra 1080p very smoothly.
No problems with the card after more than a year of running hours a daily.
This card is a monster.

Cons: Sorry I can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: I love this card, and never regret buying it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Performance

Pros: Handles everything I throw at it without a drop in performance, at least not noticeable to the human eye.

Cons: Big size.

Other Thoughts: I can only speak for performance in terms of watching videos and playing games. Size was not an issue for me, but I had a large case: Rosewill Thor V2

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA GTX 780 Ti

Pros: Where do I begin? I'm not going to simply list the specs because you can read those yourself.

This card is fantastic. Insane upgrade from my GTX 650. FPS is sitting around in the hundreds on LoL - Maybe around 250 - 300? FPS on EQ2 on max settings is around 120. Everything with this card runs smooth. It's really nice not having to worry about lag or poor graphic quality. And you can SLI. (If you can afford two)

Cons: Size. Measure if you're thinking about buying this. I had about an inch of space left because I bought a huge case. But still. Make sure you know what you're getting. There is no worse feeling than buying something so awesome and then not being able to use it.

Other Thoughts: There are a few pieces of software that come with it for overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning Strong!

Pros: Card has been great to me, never a hiccup.

Cons: Is real fickle about which driver it likes. Took me a couple days to find a driver she liked ( but since this one no issues

Other Thoughts: It's a steal at its current price, this card is solid.

1 out of 5 eggsCard is junk, stay away

Pros: - Beautiful card when it is not crashing my system.

Cons: - Cannot play newer games without completely crashing my system. Does not pass BSOD, just goes directly to power reset.

Not a PSU issue. I have enough spare parts to test that much. After some research, this problem seems to be a known issue with the 780 TI's. Something about the manufacturers used the 780 capacitors on the PCB that can't handle the TI's power load. Or something like that. And yet that did not stop them from selling these things.

I am out $700 and past the return date window. I very much regret this purchase from EVGA.

Other Thoughts: Using EVGA's precision app I set the power to a whopping 58% of target and removed the default overclocks to achieve a semblance of stability.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good but gets a bit loud

Pros: Gives excellent quality graphics with all the extra settings turned on. If you have a 120 hertz monitor, this is great as it would allow you to go over 60 frames and also allows you use it for 3d game play.

I got a Furmark GPU stress test rating of 7,700 with this GPU. I had i7 4790, GTX 780ti, MSN Z97 gaming 7 and corsair h100i cpu cooler. This rating is quite high where a standard 780 was around 4500 and 670 was around 1800 (from what I *remember* what I saw on a comparison chart by Furmark)

Cons: Note: I am using NZXT Phantom 530 which is a big and an open case.

Gets bit loud. At idol, the fans are quiet and around 30% speed so around 1000 rpm. When you start a game, even a low graphic extensive one, the fans can run anywhere from 50% to 65% which is around 2000 rim which get quite loud as the fans are not the most quiet.

This is EASILY overcome by wearing headphones / headset for game play.

Other Thoughts: Even though, it gets a bit loud (which can be overcome by wearing headphones), I would still give it 5/5 for its overall rating.

Is it worth the money? I don't know yet. Do I regret buying it? Definitely NOT. Did I need it? Who knows...

3 out of 5 eggsMixed Bag

Pros: It plays the games on my 2560x1600 monitor fairly smooth in Windows7.

Cons: My primary OS is Linux, and for some reason the Nvidia drivers conflict with my KDE desktop, and as of this month, not many distributions support this driver set. So I haven't really been able to enjoy my new card. I hate having to use Windows, but until I can install a working system, I have to deal with it. I purchased this card because I was sick of Radeon's performance in linux, and figured I would have a better time with Nvidia, like I have had in the past. Wrong! All I get now is low resolution or a black screen. The nouveau drivers work for the desktop, but I can't play my FPS games with it, so it is worthless. However, Linux being Linux, I will be able to use my card soon.

Other Thoughts: I have seen reviews of this card running on Linux along with its benchmarks, but they used Ubuntu, so I know it works. But I do not like Ubuntu.
I can relate to Linus Torvald's salute to Nvidia right now. Linux, server and desktop, has been out for how many years now? Get with it Nvidia! Not every gamer or computer user wants to put up with Microsoft's bloated and unreliable system.
