The EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Classified edition graphics card combines extraordinary power, advanced control features, and game-changing thermal and acoustic capability to provide an entirely new class of graphics performance. Powerful NVIDIA Kepler GPU GTX 780 of 2304 cores and 3GB of GDDR5 graphics memory all work side by side to deliver awesome gaming performance. NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 technology pushes PC performance to new levels with precise controls. Enable massive firepower with NVIDIA SLI technology and play games with temperature in check with EVGA ACX Cooler.

  • newegg EVGA ACX Cooler With a 40% increase in heatsink volume, the EVGA ACX is more efficient at dissipating heat, allowing for 15% lower GPU temperatures. A reinforcement baseplate maintains a straight PCB, and helps lower mosfet temperatures by 7% and memory by 15%. Even the fan blades are of the highest quality; with a 700% increase in strength, and 25% lower weight when compared to competitors. This makes the fans 20% more efficient by requiring lower power levels. EVGA is also using double ball bearing fans which offer a 12-year lifespan, four times longer when compared to competitors!
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation, and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 This brand new technology allows gamers to push PC performance to the maximum with precise controls. GPU Boost 2.0 intelligently monitors work with even more advanced controls like GPU temperature target, overclocking, and overvoltage to ensure the GPU works at the ultimate performance.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low framerates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email, or the web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA ANTI-ALIASING Anti-aliasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images, but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new anti-aliasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy one while you still can!!!

Pros: this is so fast, unless you are running 4k games or triple monitors this will handle anything you can throw at it.

Cons: THIS CARD IS MASSIVE. i have owned a gtx 570, 670, 770 before and they were all large. but beware, this card is much bigger. i had to mod my case to fit it in.

5 out of 5 eggsBest deal in cards for 1440p gaming

Pros: Handles 1440p without problems, no flickering or screen corruption like my Radeon 7850 had, games based on the HL2 engine actually look better than rendered by AMD cards (was not expecting this). Adaptive VSync is a neat feature but still introduces input lag as triple buffering does. No Bueno for multiplayer but it doesn't require a special monitor.

Cons: Runs very hot though admittedly I haven't played with the fanspeeds yet, it looks like there is quite a bit of headroom for it which is why I don't reduce its rating. There is a bit of coil whine on this one but it seems to already be gradually disappearing like I have read. I'm guessing that is why this is practically a new unit because somebody returned it for the coil whine.

YMMV, caveat emptor, etc..

Other Thoughts: I took a gamble, this is apparently EVGA's "B-Stock" which is hit or miss but if you get a good one like I did, it's basically a brand new Classy for barely more than an R9 290 Vapor-X and after problems with AMD's drivers and hardware issues with my Radeon 7850 but my GTX 650 has been trouble free, I wanted to try an NVIDIA for my main gaming system. The new Classified bounces between 60 and 100 dollars more than this is going for and already this is by far the most expensive video card I've ever bought.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a great card that came with an ungreat discount at a great price

Pros: My card works very well but don't get a refurb. Settle for the stock or save up for the new. As I said, mine has worked really well, like new even. It's dead quiet and hasn't passed the 60's on taxing games and multiple applications at a time.

Cons: It's not new. But that's what I paid for.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy did i forsake thee AMD!!!

Pros: It works at stock settings, with arctic silver 5, and a aggressive fan profile.
Its a beautiful card
games that don't push it hard, look great while the card is decently quiet. (games that do push it hard look good but its just not worth the fan noise that comes from trying to keep it cool below 60 Degrees)

Cons: The card crashes if it gets any hotter than 60 Degrees Celsius and The card gets hot fast even with better thermal paste. so with out a aggressive fan profile, any extended amount of gaming time and it will crash. needless to say this means no overclocking what so ever. i got this card hearing about how people were overclocking it on air and getting the performance of a 290x so between it being cheaper at the time and me always wanting to give nvidia a try i went for it.

Other Thoughts: I have been trying for months now to get some sort of overclock and nothing. any boost in clock speeds and voltage and you have to run the fans at a 100% just to get it threw some benchmarks but that is just way too loud for gaming. i understand it is a refurbish card. but at $500.00 it should work as intended i could have bought a non "this card is amazing at overclocking" card and got the stock over clocks that this card has and had less fan noise at a lower price. i have been a ATI/AMD card buyer since i was 11. my first card being the ati rage fury 128 pro and never had one issue with any of them. i got tired of hearing how much better nvidia is and so this year i decided to try it out. i heard evga was a very reputable nvidia card company so i figured even a refurb from them at $500 of there top of the line series should work as intended. i am sadly disappointed. hopefully when i can find the time, Evga will do me a solid and send a card that works as intended so i dont have to dismiss Nvidia as great chip maker and evga as a company to buy graphic cards from.
