4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price. Recommended for mid-level gaming.

Pros: - Great performance. Can run Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings on an estimated 55 - 60 FPS (campaign and multiplayer) based on a 1600 x 900 monitor. Will likely do well on a 1920 x 1080 monitor.
- Runs cool and quiet, as continually mentioned by plenty of tech reviewers on YouTube. This also contributes to its reduced power consumption features, which goes along with:
- No 6-pin socket. Since it runs only on the PCIe card slot, this makes the worry of lacking any PCI plugs disappear.
- Stable and overall reliable. NVIDIA is mainly praised for being a very stable graphics card manufacturer. See other thoughts about my experience with Nvidia.
- Compact form factor. Or at least compact enough, as it hits almost six inches long. This makes it easy to fit in most Micro-ATX based computers (including the case).

Cons: - Not a performance enthusiast/hardcore gaming card. This is mainly focused on mid-high gaming, as it does not run Planetside 2 past Medium settings very well; about 15 - 30 FPS depending on your setup and the settings you chose. I stick with medium to make it appear at best while not hampering much performance.
- Pricing. In my opinion, the price is a bit high, but you'd be surprised on how well this card runs with most PC games, so it feels as if the price is justified by its performance.

Other Thoughts: I remember when the first Battlefield Hardline Beta came out for PC. Back then, I had about 6GB of RAM, a Pentium dual core processor that runs 2.5GHz, and an Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS. (Yes, those small cards that come preinstalled with the HP computers.) Running that, I probably got not more than 1 - 5 FPS even on the lowest settings; my computer was screaming "KILL ME NOW, PLEASE" by then. Yet there were no crashes, and I was very impressed by Nvidia. EVGA's way of designing their cards has me hooked in seeking out more of their GPUs, as I seek stability, less power consumption, and better cooling. Nvidia, in general, is more pricey, but they are worth having around in my opinion. This is also a 4/5 eggs from me since as much as I have such a high praise for Nvidia, there were some performance-based setbacks that caused me to finalize the rating, and that I have an average outlook for it. It does me well, and I hope it keeps up the great work for years to come.

On a side note, however: Most games based on the Half Life 2 engine will run very well on the highest settings you can throw at it. Anything that does not demand much for hardware settings (i.e. a dual core processor, a mid grade/low grade graphics card, and about 512MB - 2GB RAM) will usually run best on cards like this, even anything slightly lower than that.
