4 out of 5 eggsDecent card, decent price

Pros: Low price (got it on sale + rebate), decent performance. Its reasonably quiet.

Cons: Nothing unexpected. Still waiting on my rebate from late November.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for gaming on a budget. It's a decent card: plenty of fps in TF2, CSGO. NS2 gets 50-90 fps with everything on minimum. A couple of notes. First, this does not have the extra power connectors and so gets all of its power through the PCI-E connector. Supposedly, this limits you from overclocking and having it remain stable. Also, CSGO has weird hiccups if I turn on AA - so I had to turn it back off. Driver issue? Dunno. Haven't cared enough to troubleshoot it. Do I wish I had gotten a 760? Sure (especially for power-hungry NS2), but this was affordable and I don't regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for 1080p

Pros: I really am enjoying this card, it seems to be functioning perfectly. Somewhat downgraded from a 7950 Boost but I was sick of the noise that card generated. On the surface it would seem like a downgrade but running the games I play at 1080p I really haven't been able to tell much if any difference in the quality of the graphics or framerate, especially once overclocked (my 7950 couldn't really overclock with it's cooler and almost always ran at the non-boost state.)

On the whole it's a relatively quiet card, installed easily, I like the looks of it (I've never had a card this small, there's something neat about it) and you can really tell EVGA kept the budget customer in mind with nice touches like full displayport, black shroud and pcb as well as the back plate where you plug in connectors.

Cons: Fan can't seem to go below 40% so you can still slightly hear it at idle. Barely ramps up at load though. I would have liked to have seen a 0db idle mode but then again that's more common on cards with large heatpipe coolers so maybe not possible with the smaller fan area.

Other Thoughts: I think you're better off getting a card that will play your games right now than spending more trying to be future proof. Almost went with a 970 but I realized the cost really wasn't worth it when I didn't play games that would need that power yet. By the time I have a monitor that is over 1080p or games come out that this won't run properly there will probably be another $100 or so card that can hang. That also gives you the benefit of being able to more closely follow the newest series to gain the benefits of the new features and efficiency. Just my two cents on that whole thing.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Speed, game play, and size of the card are all great.
HDMI works great to my TV when I want to watch a Blu-ray and if my keyboard would reach I might consider the doing everything on my TV. Picture quality is great.

Cons: I got mine with a mail in rebate that has processed but I am still waiting on the check. EVGA says it will take 4 to 8 weeks. So, don't be in a hurry for the rebate. Spend your time gaming or something.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Average power use is 50w for me. I can not get it to run hot, the hottest it ever got for me was 60c and that was because it had no airflow. It is very very quiet.
About as powerful as a gtx 560ti, which is all the gpu grunt I need.
Performance per watt can not be beat, not yet that is.

Cons: Performance per dollar is high, but your paying for low power usage here.

Other Thoughts: This card is getting my 70k ppd overclocked in folding@home on core 17 wu's.

5 out of 5 eggsKickin' little card

Pros: Small size: fit great in a cooler master 110 elite ITX case.

Powerful: Can run three displays off of this one little card. Outstanding for such a small form factor.

Quiet: Can't even hear it's fan, even under load and pushing a signal to 3 Monitors.

TDP: 60 watts!!

Cons: None (see other thoughts).

Other Thoughts: I had just a tad bit of difficulty getting the I/O ports on this card to line up with the rear panel of the Cooler Master case I used. I felt like the card was tilted to the bottom of the Motherboard more than it should have been.

Despite my concerns I did get everything lined up alright, and the card works great and pushes signal to all 3 displays I have it attached to.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, powerful, small foot print, comparably low power consumption.

Cons: RMA

Other Thoughts: For a few days over one month owning this card it worked perfectly. Then one day out of no where it started to produce a loud, high pitch nose, which was NOT the fan. So I RMA the card.

5 out of 5 eggsGood solid card

Pros: only draws power from PCIe slot, no 6-pin needed.
looks nice, great for a windowed case.
Stress tested the card for over an hour with fur-mark and never broke a sweat.

Cons: Got pretty loud under load the first week, but then the card became more quiet over time.

Other Thoughts: I got this card to speed up video encoding performance in programs that use cuda like DVDfab or any video converter. However, it didn't speed up video editing that much in comparison to my older GT640. If you are buying this card for video editing, I recommend the GT740 as it is better value for video editing and the use of cuda. Im not going to bother returning the card, since it is doing A great job.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: It works well, and doesn't us a lot of power.

Cons: The manufacturers website, and this website list the power requirements as at least a 300 watt power supply. The box that the card came in states it needs at least 400 watt power supply, with at least 20 amps on the 12 volt rail. I put it in a PC with a 300 watt power supply, and it hasn't choked, so I assume it's simply a misprint on the box...

Other Thoughts: Does anyone know what metrics we are supposed to use to self evaluate "Tech Knowledge"? I passed a A+ cert a few years ago, which basically means I know how to read, and plug components in, so I put down "Average".
