5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPGPU for CUDA work

Pros: Consumer-priced card with hardware double precision. Using this card for signal and image processing not gaming. Incredible value - same performance as workstation cards at a tiny fraction of the cost.

Cons: Okay, so for a whole lot less money, we lose ECC. Also, spent a frustrating few hours wondering why double precision performance was poor. You need to MANUALLY enable hardware doubles in the driver settings. Hope that EVGA addresses that in updated drivers....

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent customer support

Pros: EVGA has excellent customer support.

Cons: Problems happen, but are quickly resolved.

Other Thoughts: You can read my initial review below - this video card is excellent.

I've ordered a second one about 5 weeks after that. Much to my unpleasant surprise, it came with some port dust covers missing: SLI connector, HDMI and Display Port had no dust covers; both DVI ports had them.

I then submitted a customer support ticket with EVGA. It was Thursday 10pm. 20 minutes later I get a response asking to confirm my shipping address. Another 20 minutes later I get a response that the missing parts are being shipped in 1-2 business days. They were actually mailed on Friday, in less than 24 hours! I got them in my mailbox soon after that.

So, even though problems to occur sometimes, I can't see how EVGA customer support could have been any better than that.

Back to the video card itself - it runs just perfectly, same experience as with the first one I wrote about in my initial review.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for mimecraft!

Pros: This card is so good at playing minecraft I can get like 600fps on minecraft!!! I like how it lights up green on the side that's pretty much why I bought it. it goes so well with my 3330 processor.

Cons: I dropped it on the floor and it broke the fan so I get like 100 degrees when im doing nothing so I had to underclock it to 3000 but whatever right?

5 out of 5 eggsKing of Cards

Pros: Fantastic card. Really solves the Vram issue from the 780Ti. Definitely impressed.

Cons: never in stock so i can buy another one.

Other Thoughts: high priced and not for everyone. This is a must have for enthusiasts but most anyone else could make do with 780/780Ti and get more bang for their buck. Still a fantastic card in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsNothing Unexpected

Pros: Everything you'd expect from the fastest card in the consumer market.

-The build is very solid. It feels very sturdy in your hands.
-Installation went smoothly for me
-I haven't used it for computation yet, but I have used it for gaming and it's constantly above 60 fps for everything I've thrown at it on Ultra High settings and a 2560 x 1440 resolution.
-CPU loads have dropped dramatically.

Cons: The price I guess, but you get what you pay for in the highly competitive tech market.

Other Thoughts: I water cool my CPU and before the Titan my CPU temps would cap out around 36 degrees C. With the Titan I have a hard time getting the CPU temp above 30 degrees C.

Titan temps are around 30-40 idle and 70-80 under load. That's using the stock cooler - I'm looking forward to putting this under water once I have the funds to buy a block for it.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA GeForce GTX Titan Black

Pros: Outstanding double precision compute performance. Very nicely built. Green glowing logo on the side.

Cons: Think twice before you buy this card. The moment I had mine... I wanted 3 more of these! :D

Other Thoughts: Ordered on the day of announcement. Next day 11 am, the card is delivered. Well done, Newegg! Installed and tested on the same day. Downloaded driver version 334.89 which was just released, since the previous release did not recognize Titan Black.

I am using this card for compute in a double precision-heavy program written by myself. Performance is six times higher than my good old Galaxy GTX 580, which is a pretty well performing compute card in itself.

Note: for compute, you have to manually enable full speed double precision in NVIDIA control panel.

The card is very well built and feels solid and sturdy. It is not that big actually (smaller than the 580 it replaced). Cooler blows tons of hot air out of the case. I frankly cannot call it whisper-quiet, as the air noise under full load is quite noticeable. But given the performance of this beast, that's not a big deal.

I am not much of a gamer so did not really test it in 3D (yet), even though I have a feeling the performance is going to be superb.
