Yes.  I have been running Windows 10 since Jan 2015 (before release) with this card.  There have been no issues lately relating to this video card.

Will this card fit into a NZXT s340?

Well of course it will fit! Look at the card specs and the case. I have a s340 black and red on pre-order with the egg.I will be putting my Z97 rig with dual 760's in tthe s340. My X99 rig is cased up in a H440 with the Classy.

Can I use this with my 4.0 AMD processor?

Your cpu is not a issue. Yes your cpu will run with it. Whats important is. Does your pci/e have what it takes to support this card. And do you have clean stable power. This card is the current beast. The gpu almost does not need a cpu. It needs a good clean supply of pcie lanes and power.

Will this work in SLI with my EVGA 04G-P4-2988-KR GeForce GTX 980 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Classified ACX 2.0 Video Card?

Yes. The only thing stopping you from doing sli with different cards would be gpu type(cant do 970 and 980 sli) and Memory size(4gb card and 8gb card cant sli together) The difference in part number is becouse a difference in bios version and a new VRM revision.

I have a Evga ftw 970 will this version of their 980 be an ok upgrade? or should I wait for the ti version, I can go sli with a second 970 but i want to go with a higher and stronger card, but I want to go up to 1440p at least at max settings. thanks for your help and suggestions in advance.

Wait for the TI version.  It will have 6 GB of memory which is important for running high resolution.  I've maxed out the 4GB on my 980s with several games.  This is a good card, but I don't recommend it unless you plan on going with water cooling.  There is very little overhead with overclocking unless you go with custom BIOS.  If you can't wait or don't want to wait I recommend getting a reference 980 with a third party cooler and just overclocking it.  I have two of these, I like them, but they fell short of my expectations and they were really underwhelming until I got my water blocks.

Does this card need a back plate? If so, please link to a compatible one. Also, does this overclock well on liquid?

I can tell ya Chris that it does not need a back plate. Now this design from Nvidia is alot wider than we are used to. Meaning more space, meaning... yup you guessed it, more room for us to drop things on. No backplate? No prob. Just be careful. Only backplate I know of is on EVGA's website.
As far as your other question now I can't honestly answer because I have an air cooled rig, but I can tell you i'm confident it overclock on air. I can't seem to raise the temps on this beast with what is out today in gaming... GL

I know that this would (albeit barely) fit in a 250D (mITX) case, but does anyone know if the temps would be too much? Thanks!

Temp shouldn't be a issue as long as you have enough intake and exhaust case fans. The card actually runs very cool compared to earlier Keplar based GPU's. With Kboost turned on stock boost clock speed is 1430mhz while staying around 60 degrees C. And thats playing high end games at 2550x1440 resolution. Very nice graphics card just make sure it will fit in your case before you purchase.

the Maximum GPU Length im looking for is – 290mm. what is this gpu's length?

I had concerns as well when buying this card in regards to length. The GTX 980 Classified measure exsactly 11" from the front of the I/O to the front of the computer case. I got this measurement after i installed my 980 classified using a tape measure. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between this "Classified" version and the regular version of this graphics card?

Ummmm, are you SERIOUS?  REALLY?  Firstly, it's overclocked from the factory so it runs faster than a plain stock card.  Secondly it has better, higher quality voltage regulation and thirdly it has better cooling, fourthly it has better build quality and probably reliability AND you could certainly say that fifth it looks way better than a plain stock card.  I like to use EVGA's website to view all of their cards and compare all of the clock speeds side by side.  This card was the absolute top dog a year and a half ago before the 980ti came out.  It's still a great card and will do very well with two running in SLI.

I've read that this doesn't have a backplate, what excatly is that about?  I don't need an addittional backplate, right?

My Evga Classified came with the metal bracket to mount it to the case already attached. I'm not sure what the deal was with that. I think a customer got one and it didn't come with it for some reason. The card is taller then a normal video card so it sticks up quite a bit. You can see it in the picture. I'm sure you will be fine. It is a good card and I'm still happy with it.
