5 out of 5 eggsThis is an excellent product. Very please

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: I just built my first computer and the installation of this graphics card went extremely well and extremely fast. I could not be more pleased that I bought this card over the 980 regulars. It is a very quiet card as well. My computer is so quiet these days, it is scary. Sometimes I need to check just to make sure it is on.

Cons: No cons other than all the plastic you have to peel off. I hope I got everything!!!

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this product to anyone, experienced computer builders and first time builders. When plugging the power in, make sure you fill up all of the power plug spots with the right plugs. I left the 6 hole plug empty and when I booted the computer, it had a message on the screen "Plug in the power to this video card". I was pretty amazed. I plugged in the 6 plug and now I am cruising. I downloaded 3d Mark, just the demo version and scored a 14,400 on it, I think. Firestorm? I saw a Carey Holzman video and he had a computer that scored a 14,200 so I figured I had every installed correctly.

4 out of 5 eggsproduct preforms well

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: Came with free Tom Clancy's "The Division". After researching the unit on performance and overall specs between different company's and even some within the Evga, I decided on this model. The Titan still wins out but only slightly. This card has crushed the stuff i do with it no issues. Love evga products 90 percent of the time, I've had some products that have had firmware issues never resolved as the industry moves quickly and there resources are onto the next project (not a con just statement of fact). just deal with the quirk even the next gen one may have issues.

Cons: Make sure you understand the power needed to run this model and your system ( drives and all) in sli. You need around 1000 watt or better psu with enough power on the rails and enough 6+2 -8 pin connectors. This is not clearly defined on neweggs site nor evgas, it is taken for granted you know the power requirements. Now, this one is more of a WTH on my part. I was waiting for nvidia to release the new architecture for the Gpu's and it was pushed back with no update on release i decided to purchase the 980's (which I am happy with.) price-drop and new architecture released GRRRRRRRRR.

five eggs for the product in whole, 3 eggs for the information layout and having to spend a while researching the various model and such, just mind numbing

Other Thoughts: Researching the various models for the right part number to order from newegg ( or any other seller). Mind numbing to say the least. In this day and age why is it so hard to have drop down menu selection of what's available (This is more geared at newegg). However, I needed to triple check that i had the right model and make a few times as newegg's site didn't clearly sort them without the model number. The Evga models were mot clearly marked on the sites sale page, it was a general copy and past to each different model without a clear definition of the difference between each card on there respective sale page. For an average consumer this would be overwhelming as they dont know the difference in models. For someone that has done this before the difficulty is astounding.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good.

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: Awesome powerful card, no problems.

Cons: I just bought it and nvidia announced 1080... for a lower price. Maybe I'll try the step up.

Other Thoughts: GTX 1080 announced right after I finished building and putting everything together. Wish i waited 2 more days.

3 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY - Pascal Family comes this month

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: This card is great, but seriously, pascals' GTX 1080 was just announced for $599 and blows this one out of the water

Cons: It cost more than the new family

Other Thoughts: Please wait for the 1080 which comes this month and the 1070 next month ($379)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card, no issues at all.

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: I've only been playing Rainbow Six Seige since I bought it, I've had no problems. I mainly bought it a while back waiting for Doom which comes out soon. I'm considering in using the SLI if I have problems with DOOM FPS.

Cons: The fans on this was not running as expected. I had to download EVGA Percision X software to get the fans working properly.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend the card to anyone.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Card but...

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: Runs everything currently on the market (late April 2016) with amazing visuals and no slow down
With specs such as this should be more than able to handle the next line ups of games going into the next few years with ease and then some
Quiet, or at least not noticeably loud in my build

Cons: Runs a little hotter than I would like by default so did up a custom fan curve using MSI afterburner to keep the temperatures a bit lower than default
Small fan whine at times, but not consistent enough to be annoying
Display output issues (I'll go into this here in a bit)
Nvidia drivers unfortunately seem to be fairly inconsistent these days which is annoying because I've always been a huge nvidia advocate

Other Thoughts: So to explain here, I thought this card was everything it was meant to be when I got it in early February. Going from a 760 gtx to the 980 ti gave an impressive boost to games such as Total War Attila, and XCOM 2, providing consistently 60+ fps in just about all settings, but in early to mid March I started having some trouble. This was initially with a game that at the time was in beta, Battlefleet Gothic Armada, the display output would cease working giving only a black screen. The sound would continue running and everything was fine, could hear my mouse move over the menu buttons etc. The only way to fix it was to manually restart the computer this occurred more often than not mere moments into the main menu, anything that had to render a ship immediately seemed to trigger it rendering the game unplayable. This problem was initially, I thought tied to the HDMI, so I swapped to the DVI output which seemed to fix the issue for a time and I was able to actually play some of the game and not have it crash in the opening menus, but it would still crash on occasion in the same manner as before with little consistency as to when. I then started playing another game in Beta, and ran into similar issues, so initially I wrote this off as driver issues for games in development and would play accordingly expectant to crash at some point, while at times trying different drivers to see if it would fix the problem. In short it didn't. My best guess and that of some computer gurus from my military unit guessed it be bad ram on the card that progressively degraded, and that the reason the card would run some games better than others was the result of those games being more efficient in their RAM access of the card and not tripping the bad portions of the memory as randomly as the less optimized ones that would jump around in their usage.

Ultimately though the problem progressed beyond these two games to far older games such as Civilization 5, Medieval 2, and Heroes of the Storm, games it had formerly run with no problems as well games that are several years old, well optimized by this point, and bug free for the most part. It was at this point I decided to do some testing, so after running through the EVGA customer support, which was decent if a bit slow on the response some times, more or less it was determined to be the card and not say an erratic power supply (1000 watt btw) as my BIOS indicated its numbers to be within the range EVGA gave me in their email. In doing this I also pulled out my older 580 card (I had already lent out my 760 when I purchased this card), and I have since run all the above games flawlessly for extended periods of time.

So to end a long story EVGA is RMAing the card and I will hopefully get a new one back and not a refurbished one (just kinda irksome I guess to pay upwards of $700 for a new high-end card only to have it replaced two months later with a used one), and hopefully it will run the aforementioned games as it was meant to do. Prepping for the new Total War release and am hoping I have this card on hand to do so. I will update this review upon receiving the replacement card and testing it out.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless. Unstoppable. Behemoth.

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: I do Virtual Reality development with this beast and I haven't been slowed down even 1 frame running the Oculus Rift and having a 1080p mirror on my screen recording/streaming. This video card is truly unstoppable. I am so glad I went for the 6GB Ti instead of the 3.5GB 970 I almost ended up with. I am having no issues whatsoever. The Division came with the card and I can run it at Ultra everything and let me tell you it's absolutely stunning especially during scenes with heavy firefights and countless explosions. EVGA makes excellent products and I am now a loyal customer. And -important- I got the rebate in my bank account as promised.

Cons: None.

It's expensive but having limitless graphics capabilities is a major peace of mind for a developer/gamer.

Other Thoughts: I've thought about going SLI with this card but there's no reason. It's already unstoppable by itself.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, Small defect

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: Super powerful single GPU. Allowed me to retire my 780 SLI while giving me the chance to really explore 1440p in the future. Runs real cool, even under load. Had GTA V maxed out barely hitting 60c with fans around 45%

Cons: Getting the idle clock to not run at 1100 mhz was a little annoying, but figured it out in the end. The idle now runs at 135mhz, while my 780 ran at 340mhz.

Other Thoughts: My card had a small defect in the fans. There was a slight grinding noise at mid fan level speeds indication something was rubbing where it should not have. Normally i wouldn't worry too much, but for a $650+ card, i am expecting it to run smooth and with out issues out of the box. Had to RMA through Newegg. Process is slow compared to other retailers, especially if you have prime, so if you are used to that beware. But they gave me a faster shipping label so I am not without a gaming rig for too long. Over all I am very pleased with this card.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Brand

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: I've owned 3 previous EVGA GeForce Graphics Cards and all worked great, this has yet to be installed as I'm still waiting on more components to build PC. I expect the same, if not better from this card. Will update review if necessary.

Cons: Really none, but NVIDIA seems to have driver issues.

Other Thoughts: I do recommend this card even though I haven't used it yet, but based on everything with my 3 previous EVGA cards I expect it will preform as advertised.

I gave it 4 eggs, because I believe everything has room for improvement even though I believe it is a 5 egg product.
