2 out of 5 eggsSo-so card, rebate scam

Pros: Low power consumption and low heat, no need to use drive power connection, good streaming video playback, HDMI output.

Cons: Can't seem to get simultaneous HDMI/Svideo output, occasional font smearing glitch when scrolling, rebate support is nonexistant - their support email account is deactivated. The rebate form is weasel-worded so that they can get out of payment.

Other Thoughts: Using this on my home server/media server for media playback, Netflix streaming, and games.

Good luck getting your rebate. They ignored my inquiries as well as those from the Better Business Bureau. I'm not the only one to file a complaint as they have an F rating.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for me.

Pros: So far the games I'm able to install are a hundred times faster and more beautiful than when they were installed in my seven year old system. Going from an 128mb AGP card.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Great card when hooked up to a HDTV.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The Rebate States: "Attach a copy of your original invoice as your Proof of Purchase*. Order confirmations and/or Packing Slips are NOT acceptable." Order Conformations and Packing slips are all that is provided so don't expect a rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsGood low end video card

Pros: Cheap, runs cool, decent looking.

Cons: Drivers that came with it was trash and unusable, install the latest nforce drivers after install don't even fool with the includes drivers.

Other Thoughts: If you need a video card for a low to mid range system this isn't bad. If your only playings Sims or wow this will work nicely, but don't expect much more out of it.

5 out of 5 eggsJust a rereview for obivious reasons...

Pros: This is just to correct some that may not have as much tech knowledge as they think (Devindared).
The cards fan is plenty adjustable using the latest version of Riva tuner, but the cards default fan setting is 50% which is higher than most cards which are set to 25-35%.....
The card has never given me any heat issues at default settings and I have been using it to play Need for Speed Undercover with maxxed settings at 1440x900 res, AA at 2x....Handles it beautifully.....Maybe you got a bad card or your trying to overclock the card????
In my opinion those that do not understand technology should learn about it before flamin it, and try all solutions first, or just ask for some help if your not sure about something.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: My system,

AMD 4450e 64 X2 Dual core 2.3g
4gb G.Skill ddr2 800
500w allied psu
ecs compaq MB
zotac 9500gt stock settings

4 out of 5 eggsCard may overheat

Pros: This card rates 4 eggs because: it performs well ( on the low intensity games that I play, such as two worlds), it requires no oustside power source (6 pin), installation is easy, and as always, Newegg rocks!.

Cons: Suffers occasional errors such as "the video driver has stopped working and cannot recover." What it is is that the card overheats... The 9800 gt in my gaming rig did the same until I turned the fan speed up-> an option not available for the 9500.

Other Thoughts: This card is a huge upgrade from the 93xx series that my hp came with. It actually works with the oem power supply, just wish I could turn the fan up. Whats up with that Nvidia? I use an 8600gt in my son's pc, and it nevvver fails (even playing crysis for hours on end). IMO, the 8600gt is a better card with much the same features.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat is a Zotac???

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised. I bought this when there were zero reviews and because it was cheap. It replaced an 8400GS and the main reason I bought this was to have dual-dvi for my dual 22" monitors. And it was only to be for office use. But, my curiosity got the best of me. I loaded up a few games such as Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, and I always had an interest in Battlefield 2142. To my surprise, all play fine with no stuttering and look fantastic. Now I own the Xbox 360 PC gaming reciever and I get less work done in my office.....hehe.

Cons: It wasn't free? I can't yet vouch for the rebate but the coupon code plus MIR make this a sweet deal.

Other Thoughts: I never heard of Zotac and had a lot of reservations about this card. I justified my purchase due to the price and the fact I only wanted it for office use. And like I mentioned, it was a great buy and I highly recommend it. I'm not a big PC gamer and the last time I spent like $300 on a video card was on an ATI 9700 and then there was the horrible experience I had with a AIW 9600XT (the several dongles that broke, driver issues, overall uselessness). Don't pass it up because of the brand name, it's well worth it.
