5 out of 5 eggsGood card for upgrade

Pros: This card is the perfect inexpensive way to upgrade a basic desktop to a good gaming computer. I put this in and automatically could play games such as Modern Warfare 2 and Left for Dead 2 at high settings without lag due to the video card. Other games such as Global Agenda and Borderlands run at high settings without problem. I am glad I purchased this and would do so over and over again. You can't beat the quality for this price. It runs so close to my friends 9800gt that I would actually recommend saving $50 and instead purchase this. Haven't tried sli yet but will soon.

Cons: I really don't have any cons about this card, it's a small good replacement for my old 6600gt which ran on my dell.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend for people wanting to game but don't have the money to do so. This is the perfect solution. Nearly everything Zotac makes is perfect. Having said that, it's NOT made for enthusiastic gamers. If your looking for that extra kick in graphics this card is for you, but if you want to blow away the competition I suggest breaking away from Nvidia and moving over the the Radeon series. I just purchased the 5850 and this thing couldn't compare if it tried.

5 out of 5 eggsNice inexpensive upgrade

Pros: I got this card to replace my old outdated 6600gt. I have been running Modern Warfare 2 on highest settings and 8x filtering and it runs at 30+fps. I could hardly even run this game with my old video card! Windows 7 game video rating went up to 5.3 (3.8 before). I would definitely recommend this card to anyone who needs to upgrade from an older graphics card. Buy the gddr3 version if you can. Good for casual gaming at best.

Crysis on medium settings runs about 15-20 fps -barely playable.

Battlefield 2 all settings max -runs perfectly.

Cons: I can't run every game on highest settings. This is also due to my old processor (Sempron 1.8ghz) which is pretty slow. If I could go back I would get the gddr3 version or just go ahead and get the 9800gt. I'm not sure how much better th 9800gt would be but I researched it and it is faster in most of the benchmarking tests I found. Overall I'm very happy with this card though.

Other Thoughts: I'm hoping to upgrade CPU and Motherboard and that will help my video as well as a million other things like speed in general.

If you can spring for it, get the 9800gt, its a little faster and may be better for gaming.

Newegg is great! I have purchased lots of goodies and can't wait to get a Phenom II!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid value, solid performer

Pros: Works great with Linux, compact, runs cool, looks great, nice build quality, dual DVI with VGA/HDMI/component adapters

Cons: Heat sink shroud is a bit thick. Don't plan on squeezing another card next to this one.

Other Thoughts: OK, it's a GeForce 9500 GT, so it's not exactly bleeding edge anymore. Not that it ever was. But if you need a solid budget card for a Linux or multi-boot desktop system the Zotac should make you happy.

1 out of 5 eggsMajor Brush lag in Photoshop CS4

Pros: It's a video card ;-(

Cons: Not recommended for Photoshop CS4 GPU acceleration. Major brush lag and "screen garbage". Outdated specs, there are way better cards in this price-range.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat bang for your buck

Pros: very quite, almost silent but not quite(i keep my case open cus my cpu likes to spazz out and heatup easy so i keep the side open with a bigger fan going through the whole case), its 1 gig, and it does what its suppose to do. play games and do anything graphical.

i used to not be able to play world of warcraft on higher settings. and whenever i did a big raid i would have to turn everything to min just so i wouldnt lag. now i can keep it on high and only the most intense graphics slow it down in raids.

i can also play any other of my games on highest settings without any issues. have yet to try crysis and dig it out of my cds. but so far it can play heros of newerth on max, and fear 2 on max without a problem period.

the best pro to this card tho is this. it takes a load off your cpu. no joke. my cpu used to idle around 95f(old pent 4 cedar mill, so it runs very hot), now it idles at 85, and if i leave nothing going, it can go down to 80 or less.

very worth the money for t

Cons: its slightly big and bulky. not extremely so. it was actualy smaller then my old vid card as my old one had no fan but a huge heatsink. this card is way smaller but might be a bit big for some peoples cases and wanted to let others know it could be an issue. the card is lightweight but its flimsy cus of that to an extent.

had a problem with the screen setup and making it go to duelveiw. but once i figured out that i didnt have the mhz on my moniters right i instantly got it to be the right speed for each moniter. note to others, if your duel screening, make sure your moniters mhz is the same as what the card is set to or else one or both screens with be black.

Other Thoughts: using 2 gigs of ram, a 350 watt psu, a 3.0 ghz cpu that has 2 cores but isnt a true duelcore.

im also using a duel moniter setup with the card btw.

not much else. the card runs like a dream. bought one as a gift for a best freind, and then another for myself. both are almost a month old now and neither of us have had a problem. dled the drivers from the website, installed the card first mind you, then instantly went and played games and no issues.
