5 out of 5 eggsFirst Zotac product I ever purchased.

Pros: Note: Reviewer has a Bachelor of Science in ITM and over ten years of experience with PCs.

This was the first product I ever purchased from Zotac (which is actually a branch of Sapphire). The card ran great although it needed a hefty power supply. Since that time I've purchased several Zotac products (motherboards and video cards). They seem to have higher quality control than their competitors. I've yet to run into a defective Zotac part (store bought).

I purchased this card from Newegg.

Cons: The dual PCB GTX 295 has heat issues. I found that by modifying the BIOS so that the fan runs at 100 percent, that problem was eliminated. Ideally, you want the single PCB variant of this card. It also helps to replace the thermal compound with arctic silver. Sometimes the internal connectors that allow the two PCBs to communicate become disconnected. Again, the single PCB variant of this is better.

Currently, the GTX 660 (non-Ti) has roughly the same power as this card. The 295 was equivalent in performance to the GTX 480 and GTX 570, and is slightly surpassed by current high end cards in the 7xx and 6xx series. It is still a very powerful card (if you have an 800 watt PSU).

5 out of 5 eggsAfter 2 Months of Use - STILL AWESOME

Pros: Amazing horsepower from a single card. I've rocked SLI 8800GT's, SLI 8800GTX's, SLI GTX 260's C216 in the past. It's very close to the performance of Two GTX 260's C216's. This card has the Stream processors of two GTX 280's and Memory/Memory Controllers of two GTX 260's. There is actually less CPU overhead when using this card as opposed to a traditional two card SLI configuration (This card is considered Multi-GPU not SLI by itself) Card will automatically underclock during non use to save power. The power saving worked extremely well to my surprise. No need to make a Nvidia Profile for power saving (if I recall core underclocks to 300Mhz and Mem to 1Ghz)

Cons: Hot Hot Hot! Not a problem with additional cooling or if you force the fan 60%+++. Wouldn't recommend this card in a mid tower case unless you have an inlet fan directly blowing on card and/or if you're the type that would like a cup of OCD with your cable management (me being one of those) I noticed the residual heat transferred to my northbridge just a bit and brought up it's temp by a few degrees. Not gonna sweat it.

Other Thoughts: Initially there were some visual discrepancies with fog, shadows, lighting... they were all solved within the first week with new drivers.

Just for fun I bumped the Core 620 and Mem 2100 and fan 85% (it's rather audible at this point). I have a Cooler Master Cosmos S (has 140MM fan on side door) the huge fan ended up losing a fin and somehow wedged itself in the fan housing...the card managed to get into the high 80 celcius range during this time. Max operating temperature is 105c but I don't even like this thing getting much hotter than 80c Overclocking isn't even necessary anyways... Lastly, know your Amperage on your 12V rails people! 46Amps is what you want... quad SLI... well, you'll need an extremely high end power supply. not many have the 92Amps available on the 12V rails.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome Card!!!

Pros: Runs everything at max setting(1920x1200).
Runs Crysis Warhead 30fps+ at 1920x1200 2xAA.
Overclocks to 683/1472/1197.
Free Game.
Life Time Warranty.

Cons: Must set fan at 70% manual if you want to keep temperature under 80c when playing crysis.
Huge. It hardly fits on antec 1200 case and quad-sli
is out of question unless you have bigger case or not
using case at all.

Other Thoughts: Overclocking this card is total waste as it can already max out every games out there. Only overclock it if you
want that extra 3 fps boost on crysis.

5 out of 5 eggsI actually bought this card, real review

Pros: This card does run like a beast, I'll give it that. For those that care about 3dMark scores, I got 21k on the Performance level benchmark of 3dMark Vantage, using a Core i7 CPU OCed to 4.0ghz and 6 gigs of DDR 1600 memory. Haven't ran other benchmarks, but well it's running every game I own with settings cranked to the max very well. Should I have waited for the true next generation Nvidia or ATI card? Maybe, but at the same time I'm not exactly complaining about this purchase now. Very happy. Heat nor power usage hasn't been an issue for me either, given the size of the card. But I have a reasonably well vented case and decent PSU so was braced for both issues, so to speak.

Cons: Not a con with this card, just commenting on how so many people confuse the Newegg review section for a forum. People, like this card, dislike it, like this brand, dislike it..go find a forum to discuss that. IMO if you didn't buy this card, you shouldn't post in a review section. Newegg even has it's own forums now to discuss the pros and cons of this card, and this specific brand to death now.

Other Thoughts: Never tried this brand before, figured I'd risk it. Was the least expensive at the time I bought with both base price and shipping for each card. Free game (I have yet to install it so no idea if it's good or not) was a nice minor perk, although price out of each card offered was my first consideration. Ignoring the game, the "goodies" bundle seemed about the same. Used the newest driver from Nvidia's site, didn't use the driver on the install disks for whatever that's worth.
