4 out of 5 eggsCheap, shows a desktop

Pros: Very inexpensive, more than adequate for day-to-day computer use. Easy setup and no problems after a year.

Cons: Not very powerful.

Other Thoughts: I didn't even attempt to play videogames on this card. Only used it to get video output on a motherboard that had no integrated graphics.

1 out of 5 eggsdo not buy

Pros: none

Cons: this card gave problems from the get go. took me awhile to figure out it was the card, but once lines show up on screen and them replacement fixes issue, i know this card was problem

Other Thoughts: i buy a lot of low end cards for machines that have basic needs. most work fine. this one did not.

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT even go there

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Runs hot and worked for 10 min. Could not even install Windows 7 on my computer. Toward the end of the installation process and my CRT monitor went blank. I have read that this is very common for this kind of cards.

Plus the fact that newegg tried to sell me an used card. I did not like this card at all.

NOT SATISFIED AT ALL!!!

Other Thoughts: U probably will need 1080p DVI monitor to run this hardware

Manufacturer Response:

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with our product. ZOTAC has technical support available 24/7 to fully assist you in diagnosis and possible replacement if needed. This video card does not require a 1080p DVI monitor. It does come with a VGA output.

Thanks!

3 out of 5 eggsWork fine

Pros: Easy to install (Windows upgrade downloaded the driver automatically). Dual outputs. You can't beat the price!

Cons: I am surprised that the performance index in Windows 7 is worse than my Intel built-in graphic chip (Q35 Express). I thought the external card with dedicated memory could easily beat the built-in video card on mobo.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for dual displays, not for games. Recommended for those who don't play games.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks. Runs hot.

Pros: I installed this in an older computer because I started running kubuntu linux and my ATI card wasn't fully compatible. Kubuntu recognized the card and allowed me to download the latest compatible driver, so it works and I'm happy.

Inexpensive.

Cons: None yet, we'll see if burns itself up.

Other Thoughts: The card runs hot, between 75 & 85 degrees C. No egg for you!!!

I have half a mind to attempt installing another fan for it, in a computer that isn't made to take another fan... I like tinkering and re-engineering/improving things.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive and works for what I need it for.

Cons: Nothing right now.

Other Thoughts: Basically I'm using this as an inexpensive hardware piece for users to have dual monitors. It functions well for this and I haven't had any problems and for its price I was able to get a few of them.

4 out of 5 eggsZotac 256 mb

Pros: Nice little add on card for older machines. Easy install and had extra parts for half height slots.

Cons: Wanted 512 mb but price was right.

Other Thoughts: This worked in older machine with x16, newer versions of x16 cards would not. Have to be sure which slot you have before ordering.

1 out of 5 eggsZ GeForce 7200GS

Pros: Price and free shipping.

Cons: Blue pinstripes on screen. Works only in the lowest res w/4bit color- even after the latest drivers are installed. Tried in two different P4 XP pro machines with MoBos from different companies with the same result. Will RMA this one.

Other Thoughts: I have built or repaired a good number of computers over the last ten years without a single problem because I didn't "cheap out". Lesson learned- I'll pay a little more and get something that works. First time anything I bought from NewEgg failed. I guess there's a first time for everything.
