5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Bought this card last year with my tax return, Upgraded from a 9800GT. The difference was night and day between the two cards. I love the 550ti still runs everything I play decently well at HD resolution. Id buy this card again.

Cons: Trying to get ahold of a second one for SLI. Not really a con Lol.

4 out of 5 eggsBad Fan

Pros: FAST GOOD card. Holds temperatures near upper 60's.

Cons: Mine came with a bad fan controller. Had to use MSI afterburner to get it to go upto 70%... Wierd it wont go any higher to 100%.. Or STAY at 100%.

Not worth RMA'ing though... I can live with it and its too late now. Plus I'm a dev, and can't live without a Graphics Card.

2 out of 5 eggslast zotac in our builds

Pros: IF IF IF they'd honor the rebate, the price to performance ratio would be decent

Cons: it runs plenty warm considering it's a lower-end gpu - and we have it running in a well-ventilated case

Other Thoughts: no more zotac's here since after cutting up the box and all the other shenanigans, we never received a rebate.

Manufacturer Response:

Please email with your full name, email submitted during the time of the rebate submission, and the serial number of the product you were applying for. I will gladly check up on the status for you.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This thing is great. I don't do a lot of high-level gaming, but this card is more than sufficient for Battlefield 3, Skyrim, and some others with my 19" LED monitor.

Cons: Haven't received my rebate yet. Come on, Zotac, let's go!

4 out of 5 eggsBest for it's class unless you're playing league of legends

Pros: Out the box it performs great install / install firmwire and it's ready to go. performs as you would expect.

It doesn't overheat plays Starcraft on High/ Extreme no problem
diablo 3 just fine (although you can't max out on your settings)

Cons: The only thing I would recommend not to buy this card if you league of legends

There are others in this price that doesn't have this problem. 1/15 games the FPS would just drop to a crawl of 5-10fps only fixable by reboot. Remember this is also a random out of the blue drop so you can't prepare for this. Especially if you're playing a match that counts you really don't want this happening to you.

I already got a new videocard from Zotac and i'm still expecting this problem. It's definitely the video card because when i sent it back I had a back up card which never expected this problem.

5 out of 5 eggsKILLER BUDGET CARD

Pros: -Can be had for about $100 when rebates are available.
-Stable for gaming with good framerates/temps
-New NVIDIA firmware update improved performance
-Easily overclocks to ZOTAC Ti AMP! specs
-Battlefield 3 numbers:1080p, 30FPS avg, 70-72 degrees, Ultra settings without the fan kicking in (lots of case fans :)

Cons: -Needs replacement of thermal paste out of the box.
-Loud cooling fan but hasn't needed it since Nvidia update
-Bumping up voltage isn't worth the amount of extra power consumption.

Other Thoughts: I've been running this card for a few months now and at first I wasn't all that impressed. My PC would crash, show artifacts on the screen or bsod if I pushed the card too much. I noticed that the thermal paste was really dry so I replaced it with Arctic silver. A short while later, I received a notice of an NVIDIA firmware update and since then the performance has improved. The fan hasn't kicked in since the update which is awesome because it's LOUD. I overclocked the card to the ZOTAC GTX550 Ti AMP! specs with ease. I use MSI Afterburner to keep tabs on everything or make adjustments. I run Battlefield 3 1080p w/ Ultra settings at 30FPS without the fan kicking in. Temps stayed at about 70 to 72. I should also mention that my PC is in an NZXT Phantom with 7 fans so that certainly helps stabilize temps. Couldn't be happier for $100.

AMD 1045T OC'd to 3.5ghz Antec(Asetek)water cooled

5 out of 5 eggsNice!!!!

Pros: Best rebate ever, I'm still waiting for mine but once i get it, I'll satisfied.
Good card, runs SC2 on Ultra (it recommend ultra settings :D), runs every game fine unless you max out every setting in BF2.
Unique look (except I find that it's hard to see the GPU through the case window so it doesn't matter what look you have)

Cons: It's not the best card out there I suppose.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat graphics card!

Pros: Great product, W7 video exp index 7.3 with no SLI.

Cons: none what so ever

Other Thoughts: This is the second ZOTAC video card that I bought. Each time the install was a breeze and I got my mail-in-rebate back in record time. Other companies should learn from Zotac how to treat their customers.
