2 out of 5 eggsGreat card, awful construction

Pros: Very powerful card that can max out any game. Won't give you any problems.

Cons: HORRIBLE construction. It's a very bulky, heavy, long card. The segment that has fans attached is very flimsily attached to the backboard, and is only attached at all at the edge closest to where it screws into your case. So, as a result, the heavy fan segment hangs down at maybe a 20 degree angle from the backboard at all times. This is incredibly ugly, but the biggest issue comes from how it affects the second fan.
The second fan just IS NOT firmly connected to the rest of the card. It loosened over time to the point that it rubs against its casing as it spins, causing a terrible grating sound. Every morning, I have to readjust and wiggle it for ~10 minutes before I find a position where it won't come detached and sound like a food processor.
It also has frequent problems with stopping, where my card heats up to ~60C without even running anything graphically intensive.
Frankly, I think that anybody who hasn't had problems with that second fan hasn't owned this card for very long.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Strong and Fast Card - Eats up any Game

Pros: This Card is a Monster. I was Skeptical about it because some reviews said one of the fans stop spinning and ive never owned anything ZOTAC before. But i Am Well Pleased With this Card. My I5-2500k and 16GB of Ram Pumping every bit of this baby out... I Am So BF3 Ready

Cons: Batman Game isnt out till NOV 18... lol

Other Thoughts: i Got it for $549 and it Came with Assasins Creed & the New Batman that Not even Out Yet.. So i Really Felt Like i spent $470 on the Card.

4 out of 5 eggsTop of the heap

Pros: Largest onboard memory on the market.
Highest stock clocks on core and memory available
Best of class aircooling (see comments below)
Zotac solid construction

Cons: HUGE HUGE, I can't say this enough...this card is very wide! If you want this one for SLI be sure your motherboard will fit them side by side!
Cranks out the heat (but they all do...and it keeps my feet warm)

Other Thoughts: as others have pointed out the cooling isnt 100% perfect. I had to remove the screws holding the back of the heatsink COVER (not the sink itself, the cowling) where it attaches to the fins so that I could move it away from the fans further. This is a manufacturing tolerance issue that should be adressed as it will cause fan issues if not dealt with. Everything from just the noise of it hitting the metal cover all the way to fan failures.

3 out of 5 eggsFan Bracket Poorly Designed

Pros: Great card, it stays at low temperatures, 28-35 on idle and around low to mid 50's for graphics dependent rendering. I needed the 3gb memory which is a big plus.

Cons: First one I received was defective. I opened the box and there was a screw loose in the box and two others that were barely hanging onto the cooling solution. Tried to replace but one of the fans would rub against the bracket. RMA'd for a new one which came in one piece this time. (Great and easy experience by the way. Site wasn't working for a specific step so I called up Newegg and it was squared away).

I have had some issues though with the right fan rubbing against the faceplate of the cooling solution. This is a poor design as the length of the card itself creates a long cantilever for the second fan to hang. Given that for many systems the face of the card hangs upside-down, gravity takes over and the fan looses grip and rubs on the faceplate. If the fan had a bracket in the middle and the far end that kept it from hanging, it would not have this problem.

I don't understand how an issue like this made it past testing. I have heard others with the same issue.

Other Thoughts: Zotac probably won't be my first choice in the future. This item seems a little flimsy which is shown through simple design issues such as the rubbing fan. I docked two eggs mainly because of the poor design of the cooling solution which is basically what we are buying, along with the overclock.

I was back and forth from 3 and 4 eggs, it really is a good card, but bad cooling solution

4 out of 5 eggsNot great for OC

Pros: Good stable, cool card. Runs about 15-20 F cooler than my EVGA 580 SC. No compatibility issues, so far. Additional memory useful for gaming.

Cons: Not as OC friendly as I was led to believe by friends. My other 580 (w/lower specs) runs a fair bit faster.

Other Thoughts: A good sound card - just not great for OC.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Card. Zalman Cooling Solution Bad

Pros: The card was initially idling at a cool 33-35 C. Very fast and smooth with 3GB of video ram. After gaming at 1920 x 1200 on Arkham Asylum, temps were consistently in the low 50's.

Cons: After 4 days, I noticed the temps on the card were about 45-47 C. when idle. I looked at the card inside the case with the system power on and, sure enough, the right fan had stopped spinning.

Other Thoughts: This product is really 2 things in one: It's a Zotac 50103-10P with a custom cooling solution put on, in this case the Zalman VF3000N. For a cooling solution costing $50 retail, I'd expect better. The design is defective.

It's great when it works but the cooling solution seems cheaply manufactured and prone to failure. The stock card itself is a gem.

4 out of 5 eggsexcellent card

Pros: The card is relatively quiet and aesthetically looks nice. I upgraded from a 295 gtx PNY XLR card. Benchmarking them both with 3d mark 6 basic the 580 outperformed the 295 by just over 500 pts (which is good for a single GPU to outperform a double). I did not overclock either card. The 580 runs cool with the Zalman fan, playing Crysis for an hour the card stayed about 54C (Rosewill Thor Case with stock fans). The 3 Gb of ram is great for up and coming games and for graphics work with nvidia cuda.

Cons: Be careful inserting card and how you handle it. It seems a bit flimsy and could use support struts from card to fan on each corner and in the middle.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: What a great card. At first I was concerned due to my lack of knowledge of Zotac as a company but after research I ordered the card. This is well worth the money to me. I replaced a nice 560Ti and see considerable difference. My card idles at around 35C (a little higher than the 560 but understandable). Buy it!

Cons: Youll have to up all the settings on all your games, it can max everything out!

Other Thoughts: My Specs:
Cooler Master HAF 922 (Megaflow 200mm Red LED on side)
Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 Rev3.1
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
Corsair Hydro Series H50 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Zotac AMP2! Geforce GTX 580 3GB
G.Skill Ripjaw Series Ram (4 x 2GB)
Lite-On DVD Burner
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM & 500GB 7200 RPM
(most from Newegg very pleased)

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing video card!!!

Pros: The most powerfull single GPU on the market right now!

Runs very cool looking, excellent video and game play experience, lots of video memory, very quiet.

Cons: They run a little bit warm when play in max out settings, games like metro 2033, but what card wouldn't, fans kick in with more noise but still very silent compare to others, they need A lot of room in the case, the software utility for the video card overclocking is no good.

Other Thoughts: The best Video card i have ever own. i work with Maya making animations and 3D models, i have try 5 different video cards for gaming an work in Making CGI, professional video cards from Nvidia's mighty Quadro 6000 to Ati fire pro v7800,nvidea gtx 560 ti, ati 6800, nothing came close to this card for all of the mention before Rendering is a breeze with this thing. really happy after many benchmarks i finally find what i was looking for.
