Transform your games with reality-redefining gaming power with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680, which delivers a new level of realism and environmental interaction in the hottest HD title. Powered by the industry-leading 28nm Kepler architecture, the GeForce GTX 680 packs powerful NVIDIA SMX shaders and abundant amounts of memory that deliver a performance punch in the latest 3D games and applications. NVIDIA GPU boost technology raises the performance bar by maximizing clock speeds on the fly for maximum graphics power in every gaming scenario. A full array of NVIDIA GTX technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync, NVIDIA Surround and TXAA AntiAliasing, revolutionizes your gaming with smooth and true-to-life visuals like you have never experienced before.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Takes anything I can throw at it with ease. I am a first time buyer for Zotac only because I don't hear much about them and was a little weary at first but this card runs great. BF3, Crysis 2 & 3 run at max settings at 1080p without struggle. It runs GW2 quite well also.

Cons: My only complaints are it isn't quiet. This card gets LOUD you will certainly hear the fan working and gets quite hot as well (80c-85c max) but it's not unheard of. And of course it is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsimpressed

Pros: First reference style cooler and I'm likin' it. Much quieter than I expected, and exhausting air out the back of the case is a huge plus. It has a solid feel to it that a card this price should have, and looks cool as well.

Cons: The GEFORCE GTX logo on the side doesn't glow.

Other Thoughts: As far as I know, all of the reference cards are the same across different manufacturers. So I figured I would save a few bucks and go with Zotac. So far I'm not disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsEggxcelent!!!

Pros: Lower temp than previous GTX 680.
Double the performance when paired! Latest SLI drivers are rock solid in BF3, Max Payne 3. Cool and quiet with temp ~50F

Cons: Idle power should be less than 30%. Think of Tahiti Crossfire with it's power save mode that disables one card entirely. I'd like that idea implemented in the next GeForce drivers.

Other Thoughts: Running SLI with two Zotac cards.
Surprisingly this card, purchased from Newegg runs cooler than previous card that was originally purchased somewhere else when availability was scarce.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Card...but

Pros: Card was great. Played every game on ultra with no problems. BF3 looks fantastic.

Cons: After 40 days, I turned my computer on and got a blank red screen. After another restart, I got an windows error telling me something in my system had a problem. Computer works still until I start any game and which point the computer will shut down completely and restart (error ID 41). I've checked my psu and my memory sticks and found no errors. I put back my old AMD 6870 card and have zero problems. Tried loading the 680 back and get same result. I didn't get the extended newegg warranty (like an idiot) so I'll probably have to RMA it back to manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: 650w Corsair PSU
8gb Samsung Memory
Dell 8300
Core i7 2.8ghz

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Have you tried contacting ZOTAC support about the issue? You can email them at support@zotacusa.com or open a support ticket through the website. However, I have a question since you replaced the card with an ATI card, did you fully remove the ATI drivers before installing the GTX680?

5 out of 5 eggsAs Advertised

Pros: Fast, was able to oc it to 1200 mhz. Can dominate most games on max settings. BF3 avg 70 + fps GTA IV 40-60 fps Skyrim runs like a dream locked at 60 fps w/ vsync.

Cons: No probs installing or booting it up. Does exactly what I expected no more no less.

Other Thoughts: Had an XFX 6950 2gb some games had occasional since replacing it lag is not an issue.
My specs: Cosair 650 W psu, HAF Cooler Master, I5 2500k @ 4.5 ghz, Asrock z68 extreme 3 gen 3, 8gb ripjaw 1600, Thermal Take Frio cooler, Zotac Gtx 680 2 gb.

5 out of 5 eggsNow this is gaming!

Pros: Installed with ease. Threw every game (BF3, Crysis 2, Farcry2, Hard Reset, etc...) I had at it and they all looked and played great with max settings. I didn't install the drivers that came with, instead i just downloaded latest from Nvidia. Fits in my Dell XPS 8300 case. Comes with 3 free games!!

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Replaced my XFX Radeon 6870 and had zero problems.

5 out of 5 eggsX79 Custom Build

Pros: - Absolutely top end performance. One card beats my old 560ti's.
- Overclocks nicely and doesn't get much hotter.
- Blower style coolers are my favourite. All heat is exhausted outside of the case. Great for mini builds.
- Pulls much less power than a 580.
- Doesn't require 8 pin power. 2x6 pins.
- Not as long as it looks. There is clearance inside the shroud if you have to put it in a tight space.
- Perfect variation of outputs. I use the DVI's only but I have options.
- 3 and 4 way SLI
- 2GB is absolutely enough VRAM for modern games even at 6080x1080.

Cons: - $500. (feed your children first please).
- Finding one is a struggle. This wont be forever but you will likely have to wait for your 680.
- Blower coolers can be louder when pushed hard.

Other Thoughts: I decided I needed to rebuild my computer because I was running into VRAM issues with my i7 870/560ti SLI build because of it's 1GB. I run 3 monitors in Nvidia Surround for gaming (BF3, Skyrim mostly right now) so I knew I needed I lot more power AND a larger frame buffer if I wanted to play BF3 at anything higher than medium and still push 60+. I went with an ASUS Rampage IV Formula and an i7 3820 and decided to start with 1 GTX 680 and add new ones until perfection. I found this Zotac board through a friend who worked at a local retailer. I had it ordered in on launch day and got one of the first cards that ever came through them. I have 2 now, the second being an EVGA, and they are BEYOND what I expected. Before I found the second, I was playing at high and getting the same FPS as I was at medium with the 560tiSLI. TWO gives me everything ultra (no msaa) at average 70 FPS. Overclock this card also. I got a ton of performance just by letting it get loud.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Quiet and Cool

Pros: It is the best available right now and for the forseeable future. ATI has great cards, but they have some serious catching up to do.

Cons: It was not the GTX 690 :)

Other Thoughts: Runs like a charm, easy install, mega fast. You WILL NOT be disappointed if you buy this card.

4 out of 5 eggsgood monitor

Pros: 120 Hz and 3d vision capable. It's bright, and the colors are very vivid.

The second one worked great, the first didn't.

Cons: Cost me 15 bucks to send back the first panel for being defective so Asus got docked an egg. It had a cluster of dead pixels the size of a pen which translated as a blue and white line across the screen. Newegg gets 6 eggs for handling the RMA process superbly though.

Other Thoughts: The replacement works fine.
