Transform your games with reality-redefining gaming power with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680, which delivers a new level of realism and environmental interaction in the hottest HD titles. Powered by the industry-leading 28nm Kepler architecture, the GeForce GTX 680 packs powerful NVIDIA SMX shaders and abundant amounts of memory that deliver a performance punch in the latest 3D games and applications. Factory overclocked 1175MHz Boost Clock ensures smoother gameplay for your favorite DirectX 11 games. NVIDIA GPU boost technology raises the performance bar by maximizing clock speeds on the fly for maximum graphics power in every gaming scenario. A full array of NVIDIA GTX technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync, NVIDIA Surround and TXAA AntiAliasing, revolutionizes your gaming with smooth and true-to-life visuals like you have never experienced before.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Imagine playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to twice the monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Very Fast Card, I would say second fastest gpu at 1176 mhz boost (gigabyte and asus OC cards clock in at 1200mhz), but fastest ram at 6608 mhz. I paid $40 less for this at my local retailer. The only game that I have maxed the ram at is Max Payne 3. I used 2030 of 2048mb of ram with 8x MSAA and everything else maxed out. I would highly recommend this card but for one con (see cons), Also, at stock fan speeds, I get a temp of 29 Celsius with this card in idle and the card is cool to the touch, even the heatpipes at idle.

Cons: This card is now made with a 2 slot configuration by Zotac for those with less room for SLI. I bought this about a month before the 2 slot card came out. It's hard to find, but check Zotac's site, it's there.

Other Thoughts: unless you are in a constant 30 celsius temp or higher where cooling is a need, then there is no need guys to run this cards fans at high percent fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Runs everything flawless. Runs cool and quiet. I actually like the way the card looks, its a 'love it' or 'hate it' design. I've played everything from FarCry 3, Tomb Raider, Guild Wars 2, Crysis 3, Dead Space 3, ect.... All on Ultra with 70 plus frame rates. FarCry 3 I was most impressed with 90 to 100 frames recorded with Fraps. Skyrim ridiculous almost up to 200 frames. Just kick everything to full settings and play with no worries! I'm impressed how smooth the Graphics are. Takes gaming to a whole new level that once you experience you will wonder how you gamed without it. I haven't recorded a higher temp than 67C while Gaming and fans haven't kicked on past 42 percent. So all in all its super cool and quiet.

Cons: I bought 2 cards for 2 separate builds. Had to RMA one because the Heat sink didn't sit right so the card would heat up to 100c and blue screen. Sent it back and should get my replacement in a few days. I didn't dock any eggs because the other one works flawless. I'm confident I will get one just like it in the replacement. Newegg is super with customer service!

Other Thoughts: Beat card. Nice factory OverClock. Runs very cool and very quiet.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: -Card handles everything on highest settings

Cons: -High pitched whine under any load, audible even over fans at max.

Other Thoughts: I RMA'd the first card I received, because I assumed I just lucked out and got bad capacitors, but now the second card is emitting the same whine under load. Makes me question what other parts on the card are poor quality. Definitely not happy with the purchase overall.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this card!!!

Pros: I've owned a lot of video cards over the years and this one is quickly becoming my favorite. Runs nice and cool 100F at idle and 128-130F full bore. Pushing 3 22' 3D monitors @ 120hz and graphics are smooth as can be in everything. Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World look incredible with everything cranked all the way up. This card makes me wish I had bigger monitors to take advantage of all the graphics power this card has.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You won't regret buying this card.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth Every Penny!

Pros: Super fast! 3DMark 4464 which is almost 300 higher than it's listed as on videocardbenchmark.net! Very quiet considering the size and runs very cool with little to no setup! Runs BF3 on ultra at 100+ FPS!

Cons: Extremely large! Sat over my SATA3 ports so I needed right-angle cables to fix that.

3 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: more than 2 monitor support
HDMI w/ audio
handles all my games at highest settings
dual fan setup
OC'ed

Cons: Doesn't run the way I expected it to
Could have added a 5th heat pipe

Other Thoughts: I wanted this card for more of a long run approach

However the performance doesn't awe me as much as I thought it would, It runs Unigine at 40 to 50 fps on the average, but has a drop to 21 and a high of 150(on extreme setting with tessellation 16X). It has alot of eye candy but i would have expected more

Also I am running a board (Sabertooth 990FX) with a PCI X 16 2.0 rather than a 3.0, and I'm running an X4 black edition AMD 3.6 so I could be bottlenecking.

Finally the reason why I gave it three eggs instead of 5 is because my friend is running the same Sabertooth 990FX that I am. However he runs the Sapphire 7970 OCed which rated the lowest frame drop of 28 FPS. He is also running a dual core instead of a 4 and gskill sniper series memory

5 out of 5 eggsCrazy

Pros: -Plays Skyrim on Ultra very well, actually too well.

-Cool and quiet
-Coolest looking card I've ever seen

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: Skyrim has a bug where high framerates mess with physics and cause flickering, this can be fixed by using EVGA Precision X to limit your framerate to 100fps.

You can use V-sync to fix it as well but with V-sync on my framerate drops to 40 in some places(as opposed to 100+ without V-sync) and V-sync is just a silly option anyway, I've never understood how anybody can use V-sync with its input delay.

1 out of 5 eggsConstant Crashes and RSOD

Pros: One of the nicest 680 GTX cards out there. The cooler on this card seems very well built

Cons: I get crashes and have gotten the dreaded RSOD. I am running the latest 301.42 driver from nvidia.
For $550 item I would hope the manufacturer would have better quality control and not let a lemon out.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

If you are still encountering problems with this card, please do send an email to support@zotacusa.com. They are readily available to troubleshoot with you. There hasn't been any known issues with this card, so any attention to possible potential problems will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Juliette
