1 out of 5 eggsYe another DOA

Pros: Should be a great card for the price, 4GB is fantastic, other specs are good, works with a 300W power supply

Cons: never made it past the power on self test (POST) causing my HP P7 to beep six times, indicating a problem with the video card. Zotac tech support's advice: send it back to Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsLove this card

Pros: 4GB dedicated RAM, pretty fast, great for video converting

Cons: DDR3 RAM, Mini HDMI too close to side to use an adapter so I had to use a cable

Other Thoughts: Wish I could find a GDDR5 card with this much memory but this was nice until I upgraded.

1 out of 5 eggsBuy Cautiously

Pros: When it worked, it was okay. Zotac issued a RMA without any hassle.

Cons: Failed in less than a month. Zotac states that RMA processing could take up to 30 days. It's now almost six weeks and after several EMails, one completed phone call with a promise to expedite, and several dead headed answering machine messages, they still haven't cleared up this RMA.

Other Thoughts: If your card works, great but, if it doesn't, don't expect much help out of Zotac.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi TomB,

Have you received an update on your RMA claim yet? Please send me an email at juliette@zotacusa.com and I will try to get this sorted out for you. Be sure to include your full name, product name, and serial number.

Thank you,
Juliette

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed With Zotac

Pros: Installed easily and did what was expected when it worked.

Cons: Failed with colored checkerboard screen within 30 days of installation. RMA'd back to ZOTAC. They received the bad card on 2/25/13 and to date, 3/26/13, they have not upgraded it's status from received and they have not responded to several status inquiries.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Card!!!

Pros: Great card so far only have had it for about two months! plays every game that I have thrown at it so far. No lags even on the online game, STARS WARS "The Old Republic"! This card stays really cool while playing games on high settings.

Cons: Just that the fan or the card has an annoyingly shrieking sound to it and really just p.i.s.s.e.s me off lol. So annoying!!! If I can find an after market heat sink and fan would be sweet!

Other Thoughts: None really just a great card for the price!!!! I recommend it for budget gaming or just for an older PC BOOST in performance while watching videos, movies and you tube in HD with out lags.

1 out of 5 eggsstay away

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: I do not recommend to purchase this product or any of the Zotac products. This video card failed within two months and I am now faced with a problem: RMA cannot be created with Zotac. The support does not reply, there is no phone number to call and the warranty people tell me to contact support.
Money out of the window and I can't recover a single cent.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Timur,

Has your RMA been approved yet? If you could please email me at juliette@zotacusa.com and include your full name and description of your problem, I can see if I might be able to help you with this issue.

Thanks,
Juliette

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing card for the price!

Pros: AWESOME! I now play:
Just Cause 2: High graphics
ArmA 2: Normal graphics (but with 10,000 draw distance + many mods!)
Men of War: High graphics
Skyrim: Ultra (lags in cities and HUGE battles) High graphics (never lags)

I only have 6gb of RAM, yet still this card boosted the heck out of my gaming ability.

Cons: May just be me?... but my card makes a strange eery sound. My ears are sensitive though... so it's probably just me. Also my tower is right next to me on the table I use, not below me like it really should be. So... if you have a setup like mine, you may want to second think this card (or just return it if it bothers you.)

I've also had small display errors, and it crashed 1 time on me after a PINK SCREEN lol. I do not believe it was the graphics card, but it may have been.

Other Thoughts: My Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3.30GHz runs pretty well with this card! I play most new games on Medium/High settings now, VS when I had Intel HD Graphics and couldn't even play most games. For the price, it's an amazing buy!

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded My Dell Dimension E521

Pros: Portal, Portal 2, UDK, and a student version of Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2013 were the programs I tested while using this graphics card because those programs are very 3D-intensive. This graphics card is amazing while running those programs! I can run those programs on max graphical settings and the framerate doesn't take a hit! The graphics look very nice, crisp, and clear. I'm sure other games will run nicely as well.

The graphics card stays cool under pressure. When on the desktop, I've seen SpeedFan report between 80F-100F. When running a game like Portal 2, I've seen SpeedFan report, at most, 120F.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The packaging claims that this graphics card needs a minimum of a 350W PSU. Both the product manufacturer's page and the Newegg listing say that the graphics card needs a minimum of a 300W PSU. I have not had any problems because my PSU says 305W max output. In the past, I have bought a graphics card that tried to run under an underpowered PSU. The graphics easily became corrupted over time. I see no such issues with this graphics card.

In the BIOS of my Dell Dimension E521, I had to change the integrated graphics mode to disable itself if a graphics card is connected to one of the PCI or PCI Express ports.

I am not using the DVI-to-VGA adapter that comes with the graphics card because my monitor is capable of DVI input. I don't see much of a difference in quality, if I am to see a difference.

My monitor's max resolution is 1280x1024. I recommend buying a certified 1080p monitor so that way you can enjoy HD movies and games in widescreen 1080p. I don't think that increase in resolution would cause the framerate to take a hit.

Even though PCI Express 2.0 x16 is what this graphics card is designed to run under, it runs nicely in PCI Express 1.1 x16 mode, the port that HWiNFO32 says my Dell Dimension E521's motherboard has. That means this graphics card may be more powerful than what I have experienced so far.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is what it says it is

Pros: Easy to install - works well - increased overall performance but not as much as a 4 GB card should have (-1 egg) - runs everything I throw at it.

Cons: None so far.
