Step up to the Kepler architecture for amazing graphics performance and power efficiency with the ZOTAC GeForce GT 640 VGA card. It's based on the industry-leading 28nm technology and provides gorgeous DirectX 11 gaming and HD visuals at an unbeatable price. Hardware accelerated Blu-ray 3D playback enables the ZOTAC GeForce GT 640 to render stunning stereoscopic high-definition video with compatible displays and playback software. An array of NVIDIA innovations, such as NVIDIA Surround, NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync and the new FXAA Anti-aliasing Mode offers more than one way to elevate your gaming experience, bringing your entertainment and work to a new level like never before.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Simultaneously drive up to four independent 1080p displays for the ultimate multimedia or productivity workspace and expand a single application across all three displays for an immersive viewing perspective.
  • newegg FXAA AntiAliasing Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • newegg Blu-ray 3D Support Connect your PC to any 3D enabled TV over HDMI and enjoy a cinematic 3D experience in your home with seamless support for 1080p Blu-ray 3D discs.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Value

Pros: Unbeatable value, works great, perfect small form factor upgrade for that integrated HD graphics Dell computer you have.

Cons: Has DVI and Mini-HDMI, the second can be easily remedied with a cheap Female-HDMI to Male-MiniHDMI converter...you can find one here on newegg for like 5 bucks.

Other Thoughts: This is not a high-end graphics card and the buyer shouldn't expect it to be. If you have a stock Dell computer that you bought for $500 like me that has a motherboard that can only accommodate a small graphics card, and you want to play games like Starcraft 2, Heroes of Newerth/DOTA2 on ultra settings with no stutter and don't want to shell out for a huge rig, this is the PERFECT solution at a jaw-dropping price.

5 out of 5 eggsGood single slot card

Pros: Nice card for the price (assuming rebate goes through). Easy to install and scored a 7.1 WEI on both graphics ratings. Works great for video and photo editing but I have not tried any games.

Works fine with stock Dell Optiplex 300 watt PSU. Was stable while running Furmark and Prime95 (Intel Q6600 CPU) simultaneously.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The rebate process is not that bad. So far may rebate was acknowledged. Not sure why it will take another 8-10 weeks to "process".

4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: I can play Farcry 2 full screen with highest settings (I haven't tried any newer games yet). Audio thru the HDMI worked instantly. Fit great in my HTPC and added very little noise. Great deal for less than $50 (including discount and rebate).

Cons: The card uses HDMI-mini output, which is not the same as what my smartphone uses, so I had to buy yet another HDMI cable. The HDMI-mini output is too close to the edge of the slot. I had to "bend" the card a little, otherwise I couldn't fully insert the plug.

Other Thoughts: I had the video card up and running for a few minutes then all of a sudden the picture went out. It turns out that I simply needed to push the HDMI-mini plug in further, but in order to do that I had to re-seat the card and "bend" it to the side before I tightened the slot screw.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got this during Shell Shocker deal plus the rebate if it goes through so was a great deal! Does what I expected now.

Cons: Had to RMA the first one cause of lines appearing across the screen tested this on 2 other computers and same results.

Other Thoughts: This is the first time I had to ever RMA something out of 50 some products I've ordered from Newegg and the process was quick and easy!! Had the new card back in about 5 business days

1 out of 5 eggsGrey Horizontal Lines

Pros: None

Cons: Grey lines running through the display and there is no support or anyone to say 100% if its the Video Card or what is causing it at all.

Other Thoughts: Nice little VGA to DVI adapter

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Performance is good for what you are buying. It should perform the same as any other GT640 out there and it does.

Cons: While the performance is there, so is the noise. The fan is really loud. Really. Too loud and so I don;t recommend this card for that reason.

Other Thoughts: I unplugged the fan on mine and it's now silent. That is not the best thing to have to do to a brand new VGA.

It works great in Windows 7 and 8 as well as OS X Mountain Lion in my Hackintosh which is what I'm using it for.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA! grey horizontal lines on screen

Pros: None

Cons: I installed it, my first build ever, double and triple checked everything. Took it to a computer repair guy for him to look at it, not touch anything but look and he said everything was fine.

Booted it up and noticed lines running through my computer monitor even at boot.

I figured it was just due to drivers not being installed and I downloaded the ones from Nvidia and still to this day and 3 days of fighting with it, still no luck in removing these gray horizontal lines all throughout my computer screen.

Will try and do a RMA on this asap!
