5 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Super easy install, cheap & works great

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I was looking for an inexpensive PCIe x 1 card to accompany my Asus Nvidia GT 440 PCIe x16 card to allow my third monitor.
This uses the same drivers as my GT 440 and was a no brainer.
I recommend this as a secondary card on a newer machine, or as a primary card in an older one.

5 out of 5 eggsMade W8 Media Center work

Pros: Small footprint, quiet, Fits where other cards won't. Supports Windows 8 Media Center. Great for HTPC.

Cons: Not a gamer card

Other Thoughts: I built a Win8 HTPC with an integrated HD4250 Radeon video. I was surprised when AMD said they would not update the HD 4250 for Windows 8. Media Center would not work nor would any video. You Tube was just a green blinking screen. This card came to my rescue. All the video and DVDs work fine on this card and it even plays some games as well. This is the best deal on a PCIe 1x card.

4 out of 5 eggsfor it's spot...

Pros: it's a 610 GPU with dedicated ram on it
it frees up your cpu from running the video
it *can* free up your CPU of running some/all of the audio.
it fits in *small* places.
it's not super power thirsty.
at idle fan speed most stock CPU heatsink/fans will drown it out.

Cons: it's somewhat expensive for the performance(visually) gained.
at full fan speed it's *loud*

Other Thoughts: on the rig I threw it into my friend's DAY-Z frame rates tripled on average even with lots of players zeds, fires, and heavy in game weather(stuff that slowed his frames per second to single digits now leaves him comfortably in the double digits).
It fits a GPU into a PCI-E x1 slot, which allows it to be used in many pc's that don't traditionally support a GPU being added into their motherboard(s).
for near fifty dorrah at time of posting, this is GREAT for a PC that only has PCI-E x1 slot(s) in it or maybe some regular PCI ones too but you get the point. If it's between this GPU and using your CPU for your graphics solution, this is almost undoubtably better. Almost.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but....

Pros: Comes with low profile bracket; drivers; quiet. Ok fast for the money. Reduces cpu usage while watching HD movies and smooth scrolling when browsing the web.

Cinebench: gets 10 fps on opengl...but I believe its limited by the terrible cpu it was paired with.

Cons: If you have an older system: it seems like the memory parity error is very likely (see the other comment about the e310). On my optiplex 210l, windows 7 would show boot animation but bsod with memory parity error. Ubuntu also reports something wrong with pcie slot. XP installs and runs very unstable. (Installing a sound driver triggers the error). The integrated gma 900 does not have these issues.

Other Thoughts: The gpu is good for the money, but not in my case.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for a Dell E310

Pros: Will not work in my computer so I do not know if this is a good video card.

Cons: After install had this message on the screen:
Memory Parity Error
Googled "Zotac Memory Parity Error" and got this:

Other Thoughts: Maybe a good card, but Compatibility with older machines maybe a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Enough Card

Pros: Better then intel integrated 910 GL video card.
Can watch 1080p video without lag
Can play older games with increase detail.
Fan is relatively quite compare with other fans on the computer.
Some load now taken off of CPU

Cons: Shipping expensive. $8
GPU doesn't seem to want to work with Folding@home
Watching 1080p video still uses 50%+ CPU load

Other Thoughts: Computer Info:
HP Dc5100mt
Intel P4 3.2Ghz
2 GB DDR2 memory
2x 1 TB Segate HD
300W HP power supply
Driver version: on the CD

This video card gave my desktop new life. It has 1 PCIe x1 slot so I decide to throw in a video card. UT 2004 works much better. Left 4 dead 2 doesn't lag as much and some MMO work just fine as I can increase more detail. Need for speed world can run on medium or low but there is still random pauses when getting to busy areas.

Somethings I notice when using Geeks 3D gpu viewer.
When watching 1080p HD video off of youtube. The GPU runs at 35-55 % and CPU load is about 50% or greater. The video does not lag but still surprise that CPU still has to work so hard.

When trying to run folding@home the GPU isn't taking over, it is still running off of the P4 cpu.

Temps are idle: 53c
In use: 71-74c

This is as good as you can get with a workstation computer running on a Pentium 4. There really isn't any upgrade you can do to make it any better. At least now I have a decent enough video card to play some older games and watch video's without over working the CPU.
