Step up to the Kepler architecture for amazing graphics performance and power efficiency with the ZOTAC GeForce GT 640 VGA card. It's based on the industry-leading 28nm technology and provides gorgeous DirectX 11 gaming and HD visuals at an unbeatable price. Hardware accelerated Blu-ray 3D playback enables the ZOTAC GeForce GT 640 to render stunning stereoscopic high-definition video with compatible displays and playback software. An array of NVIDIA innovations, such as NVIDIA Surround, NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync and the new FXAA Anti-aliasing Mode offers more than one way to elevate your gaming experience, bringing your entertainment and work to a new level like never before.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Simultaneously drive up to four independent 1080p displays for the ultimate multimedia or productivity workspace and expand a single application across all three displays for an immersive viewing perspective.
  • newegg FXAA AntiAliasing Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • newegg Blu-ray 3D Support Connect your PC to any 3D enabled TV over HDMI and enjoy a cinematic 3D experience in your home with seamless support for 1080p Blu-ray 3D discs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Good price, upgraded from my GT430.. No problems with my 28-inch HD monitor.

Cons: Got lost for 4 days in OK from train derailment.

Other Thoughts: Tom B. If you had 3 of these fail in a week, you might want to look at the rest of your system, especially the P.S.

1 out of 5 eggsSteer Clear!

Pros: None that I can see after 3 Zotac video cards failing in a row with less than 7 days running time on each. Reprehensible quality control and customer service.

Cons: After causing several video related BSOD's it finally crashed the system and which had to a restored from a point previous to the installation of their drivers because their drivers would not uninstall. .

Other Thoughts: requested an RMA 4 days ago and Zotac has responded by not responding to my RMA request and blowing ands by refusing me access to my Zotac Account dashboard. BTW, these card are manufactured by PC Partner (Dongguan) Limited (PRC) for the PC Partner Group Limited (Hong Kong) who. according to a web page that I read, was highly instrumental in setting up and financing Zotac USA and Europe.

1 out of 5 eggs3rd Bad Card In A Row

Pros: This is the second ZT-60203-10:: received from the RMA Department at Zotac to replace the ZT-60405-10L which went south after a week.

Cons: None of these Zotac video cards have lasted more than a week before dying. This current one arrived smelling toasted as did the previous one. A week after installing it and using the Zotac provided drivers, it slowed way down and started throwing video card traceable BSOD's just like the previous one.

Other Thoughts: Zotac's RMA process being run by Brian S. is absolute GIGO! You send in a bad card and he sends you another bad card hoping that eventually you'll get mad and go away.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Video Card

Pros: Supplied by Zotac to clear a previous RMA.

Cons: Causes repeated BSOD's with memory dumps pointing to the card. BSODs occur when watching media for 45 to 90 minutes. Causes BSOD when playing World of Warcraft for 90 minutes.

Other Thoughts: This is the second Zotac card in a row that has had to be RMA'd. At this time I'm not convinced that they can produce a quality product. My NVIDIA branded GTX 550 TI and EVGA 450 GTS cards work flawlessly.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD

Pros: THE FAN ON MINE ISN'T THAT LOUD, IT'S ABOUT THE SAME AS GT430 IT REPLACED. RUNS VIDEO'S EXTREMELY WELL AND I AM NOT A HUGE GAMER THE ONES I DO RUN ( F1 2012 & A COUPLE OF THE NFS GAMES) I CAN SET AT MUCH HIGHER DETAIL WITH BETTER FRAMERATES, I WAS GOING TO GO WITH THE ASUS BUT DECIDED ON THE ZOTAC AS YOU GET 2GB RAM FOR $10 MORE .

Cons: I BUILT A NEW COMPUTER AFTER ACER SLIMLINE DIED AND WAS GOING TO USE MY OLD GT 430 BUT AFTER I HAD IT BUILT I DECIDED TO GET A NEW VIDEO CARD ALSO. BEWARE! THE FAN AND HEATSINK ON THIS CARD TAKE UP 2 SLOTS AND THERE IS NO WAY IT WOULD HAVE EVER FIT INTO MY ACER. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CLEARANCE

Other Thoughts: IN THE PAST I HAVE USUALLY USED ASUS AND GIGABYTE(SOMETIMES MSI)BUT I USED AN ASROCK MB AND ZOTAC VIDEO IN A SLIMLINE INWIN CASE. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT. I HAVE A SMALL DESK AND A SLIMLINE WORKS BETTER FOR ME AND COMPANIES ARE MAKING SOME GOOD PRODUCTS NOW FOR SLIMLINE CASES. MY ACER WAS A GOOD COMPUTER FOR WHAT I PAID FOR IT ONSALE BUT AFTER BUILDING ONE AGAIN SEEING HOW MUCH BETTER THE QUALITY OF PARTS ARE PLUS HOW IT SEEMS TO RUN SMOOTHER AND MUCH MUCH COOLER WITH A COUPLE CASE FANS, I WILL NEVER BUY A PRE BUILT BRAND NAME COMPUTER AGAIN.

3 out of 5 eggsNice little card. Too loud.

Pros: Low profile PCI bracket included. Works great. Powerful enough for the SteamBox I was building.

Cons: The fan makes a high-pitched whirring sound that is audible from 10 feet away. Really annoying.

Other Thoughts: This card works like a charm, but the fan is killing its potential.
