The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation, and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world-class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power-efficient graphics card.

GPU Boost 2.0 intelligently monitors work, with even more advanced controls like GPU temperature target, overclocking, and overvoltage to ensure the GPU works at the ultimate performance.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low framerates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

4 out of 5 eggs3rd screen flicker

Pros: As advertised. Stock GTX 780, lowest power consumption versus factory overclocked cards. Has plenty of overclocking headroom.

Cons: 3 screen surround doesn't work well on my third screen, it randomly goes black for a few seconds.
Overclockiability less friendly than with AMD drivers. In fact, being an AMD owner since forever, i was surprised Nvidia drivers don't let you overclock.
Don't know how to overclock only the boost.

Other Thoughts: Bought the last one :)

3 out of 5 eggsTL;DR Good Card, Bad Packaging.

Pros: Great card, standard stock GTX 780 reference cooler. I'll let you look at benchmarks to make your own decisions on performance.

Cons: Very thoughtless packaging. Card is surrounded by 1/2 in thick dense foam. Nothing wrong with that.

The problem is that Zotac cut a hole in the foam on the PCB side and tossed in a DVI adapter with no padding anywhere. This results in a hard plastic/metal adapter sandwiched between the cardboard and the PCB that could very easily break chips and components off the back of the card.

Other Thoughts: I believe the total carelessness of tossing in a loose DVI adapter next to a high end graphics card with no protection warrants a loss of 2 eggs when there are so many identical cards with better packaging.

5 out of 5 eggsStupid Fast and Powerful!

Pros: This Card is a Beast, handles anything you throw at it with ease. Runs cool and quiet, looks incredible.

I love it so much i'm ordering another for SLI. Should last me a long time on 1080p. Atleast until 900 series Nvidia GPUs.

Cons: None, seriously.

5 out of 5 eggs2560 x 1600 gaming

Pros: I paired this up with my other GTX 780
and they have no problem running crisis 3 at 2560 x 1600
with all but msaa turned all the way up.
This card also excels at distributed computing projects

Cons: expensive!

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful

Pros: Amazing card. Stays pretty cool even during intense games. Immediately noticed a difference in image quality even when just logging into Windows for the first time after installation.

Easily handles and destroys most games especially WoW. Haven't had a chance to test it with more FPS intensive games but I haven't seen the FPS drop below 60 even with all game settings and anti-aliasing maxed out.

Cons: Price, but it's a great buy for those who game or do heavy video / graphics editing.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 780 Rocks!!

Pros: What an upgrade from a Radeon 6970! Comparison tests show the 6970 to be 50% CPU FPS, while the GTX 780 is 93%. Whew!! I had to upgrade my Gigabyte x79 ud5 motherboard to Bios F13p. F12 Bios would not boot. If you have a Haswell CPU (4770, etc) you might be ok with your Bios. Otherwise, make sure to flash the latest Bios for your motherboard. Most motherboards have a bios flashing utility. Mine was Gigabyte's Q Flash. To get full PCI-e 3.0 motherboard speed on the gtx 780, go to and download the "force-enable-gen.exe" file and run it from your desktop or C drive. This works for my Sandy Bridge E 3820 CPU. It changed my PCI-e from 2.0 to 3.0. If your motherboars is quite new, you may not have to do this. GTX 780 is Killer in my games with a massive improvment. It is that good!!

Cons: No cons whatsoever!

5 out of 5 eggsA step up from the GTX 570

Pros: Like almost all 780s n the market, it's standard spec.
It was a jiffy to install and worked great out of the box.
I have two of them in SLI, slots 1 and 3.

I usually buy GPUs that are a generation below the newest generation, keep them for a couple years and give my previous card away to a friend or something. I hope to have these for a while!

Cons: Expensive, of course. But not compared to the Titan.
Now I want to buy a new CPU(?). heh
Really, I don't have much else to complain about.

Other Thoughts: My rig:
Cooler Master Cosmos case
Zalman HD1000-watt PSU
Asus P9X79 Deluxe mobo
Intel i7 3820 CPU
32GB Corsair Dominator DDR3/1600
(2) OCZ Vertex 3 256GB SSDs in RAID
(2) Zotac GTX 780

5 out of 5 eggsIts pretty epic, even more expensive than planned.

Pros: I have only owned it a couple days, its impressive looking, built well, appears to be essentially nvidia reference, interesting bundle of tools, couple old toss-in games, no last light though... Quiet at default, its very fast, make no mistake. I upgraded from a GTX 660, which I thought was pretty darn good, and id always been of the thinking I dont need much more video card than x60 or maybe x60ti... Well this thing is pretty crazy compared to that. Lol type of difference in some biggies like Crysis 3 or Metro 2033. That all said it is, to me, very very expensive, but I have denied myself this level for so long that I just wanted to do it and see once and for all if its worth it, and here at the start so I get max time near the top, and while I can not say any video card is worth this much, if one is, at present, I suppose its this one. I dont know if Ill be at x80 level every generation, I suspect x70 would do me just fine, but now that I am I feel pretty uber, and I want it to last me till 9xx so I can somehow justify this expense!

Cons: Well price, its definitely a lot of money to me, but thats not very fair. It is what it is, and here near the beginning of the generation we are paying top dollar to be x80. All reports say you can clock this up to exceed *stock titan* speeds, certainly a clocked up titan would burn it, but this is the same beast scaled back. Whatever the case maybe I wont overclock it for quite a while, its the upgrade I cant afford since I spent so much on this, and it can wait till sometime makes me think, oh boy... I run a single 32" 1080p TV as my main display so that may take a while.

Other Thoughts: Its awesome, no mistake. Make sure the rest of your machine is up to it, cause its seems pretty easy to get cpu or otherwise architecturally bound with a card of this magnitude. The likely foolish decision to buy this monster has me on the way to a bigger upgrade than planned. Oh well, it is what it is, but this bad boy better last me a couple years, the thing of buying x60 cards is I could do that every year and not feel too bad... Not this one. I mean im buying a haswell and z87 now cause I know this thing is laughing at the rest of my decent but not x80 level system. Im guessing that a lot of people not running late model i7's or maybe 8 core amds would feel just like me, this card is half asleep in my machine...Im pretty sure my quad core amd setup could not fully feed even a 770. I suppose people buying these generally are not so pinch a penny like me and may well have the best, but anyway, buying this to me means upgrading the rest of my machine just to make it feel worth it. That said for once I will have very near top of the line performance, and quite a low bank balance to go with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent graphics cards, I wanted to try something new and different and this was a great choice, over clocking software included. I will build my next pc with Zotac motherboard and parts.

Cons: Not familiar with company.

5 out of 5 eggsnice card

Pros: Nice card. was worried at first about the brand since i did not have experience with Zotec but the card runs at advertised specs and the current temp after a long stability test and then some more time playing bf and skyrim temps haven't gone over 33 degrees Celsius. quiet for it's size

Cons: as everyone else says, its huge. be forewarned you must have the space in the case. carefully place it in there too as some boards have the SATA ports in line with this and they could present a problem. mine sit just above. you can slide paper through though.
