  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but also for optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation, and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world-class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant, power-efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3D Vision Surround Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, it transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Expand your games across three displays in full stereoscopic 3D for the ultimate “inside the game” experience with the power of NVIDIA 3D Vision and SLI technologies. NVIDIA Surround also supports triple-screen gaming with non-stereo displays.

2 out of 5 eggsOVERHEATING!!!

Pros: Great graphics! love the features of the card!

Cons: I have had my card for about 6 months running the same system and from being told my a computer repair lab that the card is almost at solder melting point. The fans will not adjust to the heat, also have to manually go into the bios to keep it at 100% at all times or else i get the BSOD (Black Screen Of Death). I was also told it was a 700 series problem buuuuut... there's no heat shield or anything to help keep it cool.

Other Thoughts: do more research for cooling before buying.

5 out of 5 eggsOne out of the best GTX 770 by ZOTAC

Pros: Excellent quality
Super quiet fans removing a lot of heat
Low temps
Very good price
Overclocks very well

Cons: There is not Cons with this GPU

Other Thoughts: Overclocking: (not +12mV overvoltage is used)
Core Clock: 1059 ---> 1159 (MHz)
Memory Clock: 1753 ---> 1953 (MHz)
Boost: 1111 ---> 1211 (MHz)
getting and incredible Bandwidth of 250.0 GB/s !!
Temps? Idle: 35C (avg.) Full load : 79C (Avg.) by playing Skyrim with Ultra High Settings.
Though not necessary I think to buy a 2nd Zotac for SLI thinking in future heavy video games. I highly recommend this card, you can't go wrong!
PS. Don't forget register your VC at Zotac before 28 days to get 5 yrs. warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible performance

Pros: Incredible amount of power here. I run any game, max settings, at 1080p and 60fps except for a handful (Metro LL, Crysis 3, and BF4; the solution is a more efficient FXAA instead of MSAA). Major upgrade from my old GT 540M in a laptop that liked to overheat.
Runs decently cool at full load (I never hit more than 71 degrees after an hour of BF4).
Fans are quieter than my case fans and CPU cooler.
The Zotac software is nice and easy-to-use but still powerful.

Cons: Orange? Ugh. Thank goodness the fans face the bottom of my case; my case window would have made the orange colored fans unbearable if they pointed upwards.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for Blender on Linux

Pros: Runs CUDA like a dream. Cycles on Blender flies with this thing on Linux. Runs dual monitors just fine.

I haven't tested it much on Windows. It came with Watch Dogs, which is supposed to be a pretty good game.

Cons: NVidia only supports OpenCL 1.1 as of version 340 of their drivers (at least on Linux), so anything requring OpenCL 1.2 (like FFMpeg, for instance) isn't going to work with it (or any NVidia card, as far as I can tell).

It's large (full length, two slots wide), so look at your motherboard layout and determine where your 3.0 x16 ports are and make sure it's not going to interfere with anything. Nothing like buying a card and finding out it blocks half your SATA ports or hits the chipset heat sink. Also be sure that your case has some clearance between the drive bays and where the card is going to go - hard drives usually stick out a bit from the drive bay.

Other Thoughts: Getting CUDA 6 and version 340 of the driver on Linux Mint was a pain. If you're having issues getting all the proper packages together for this, add the xorg edgers repository to your sources.list (assuming you're using a Debian-derived distro). I still had to install CUDA using NVidia's binary installer, but it's self-contained.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card

Pros: Whisper quiet. Runs everything I throw at it on max settings. Comes with a bunch of free games (Splinter Cell compilation and Watch Dogs at the time of this review). Nice options for ports (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort). Can SLI these.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This card replaced two GTX 285s (SLI) and I don't miss them one bit. When gaming on the two 285s, the fans would get extremely loud. It was very annoying. That just doesn't happen with this card. I am very pleased with this purchase and plan on picking up a second one at some point for either SLI or for a second system I have running in the house (which just inherited one of the 285s). Was considering a GTX 780, but I am perfectly happy with my decision.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card for the $

Pros: Dual fan keeps everything cool and quiet. Overclocking allows me to play everything (Witcher 2, Dark Souls II, Skyrim, etc.) maxed out at 1920x1080. Future-proof for the next couple of years.

Cons: Bulky; not suitable for small or cramped pc cases. 4 gb isn't super useful at the moment unless you're building an expensive monster rig, but will be in the near future, plus it's only a few $$$ more than the 2 gb version.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to upgrade long-term and are casually into gaming (i.e., no 4k 3-monitor setups), then this is perfect. It's $100+ cheaper than the 780, and it comes really close (~5 fps in most instances) to the same performance.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for me

Pros: It is what you would expect, out performs my triple sli 1.5gb 580s due to its frame buffer, and at less than a 3rd of the power its a win win. I got the 4gb so I can sli it later down the road and hopefully not run into similar constraints.

I noticed a few reviews saying its really big, but it's the same size as my reference 580s, that size has been a very consistent for years. If you have seen a performance gpu in the last few years you probably know how big this thing is.

And btw, BF4 on ultra is absolutely smooth and playable (EA glitches aside :p), wheres my 3x 580 setup was not at all.

Cons: Bit of coil whine, I have to listen for it to hear it.

Other Thoughts: When I installed this card my pc would hang up on my mobo's splash screen, locking out even the bios. My motherboard is a GA-UD3-X79 Gigabyte board but this problem seems to happen for a few different ones. The solution I followed was this exactly,

"you have to put your old video card in the system, boot it up and go into BIOS, Set your video display adapter to 'legacy' mode. Then save the settings. Shut down your computer after it boots, put your new gtx 700 series in the computer, and power it back on."

and that fixed all of my problems. Thanks to SolusChristus on Tom'sHardware :)
