Question 1

Overall....how does Zotac stack up against other brands?  I've always used either EVGA or ASUS but i decided to go with Zotac for the price point.  Anybody out there owned this card for a while or use Zotac products often?  Gonna try to throw two of these 780ti into a new build and i want a card that will hold up for a couple of years at least.

Over the past 8 or so years I've owned many different graphics cards from many different companies and i have to say that Zotac has never failed me. I've owned a 550ti, 680, and currently the 780ti, and the evga counter parts. If you are looking for ridiculous overclocking then evga and the king ping series is where you should look. But, if you just want a card or 2 with great cooling that performs the same as the evga's then this is the way to go. I even installed liquid cooling on mine so the pcb has the stock holes in it for liquid cooling, but it isnt necessary unless you overclock some like i have. You won't be disappointed if you pick this card.

Question 2

I am working on my new future proof gaming rig and I am stuck on what power supply I need to get. I want to SLI 2 GTX 780 Ti's with enough headroom to overclock the CPU, RAM, and maybe even the GPU in the future. I've been doing a lot of research and 50% of people say that an 860W PSU is enough but another 50% says you need at least 1000W's. I am trying to get a 80 plus platinum PSU that is fully modular. My choices are either Seasonic 860W platinum or 1000W platinum. I would even get a Corsair AX Series PSU but I have heard that they get coil whine under load but I am not a Corsair PSU expert so I don't know. I just don't want to overkill on a 1000W PSU when an 860W would be enough? Detailed answers would be greatly appreciated.

Question 3

Will a 860w 80 plus platinum psu be able to power two of these cards in SLI? If so, how much headroom will I have for extras?

860 watts should be just fine for 2 780ti's but it's pushing it fairly close, but a sound card and a few hard drives shouldn't cause any problems with it. Just don't expect a third 780 ti to work with it.
Under full load mine uses between 360-380 watts. So if you look up how much your processor uses you can find out for sure.

i have a 650 watt PSU is that good enough?

700 is the min requirement.  I would personally run an 800 at minimum.
