5 out of 5 eggsZotac GTX 970 AMP! Extreme

Pros: Went from a EVGA 560 TI 2GB to the Zotac GTX 970 AMP! Extreme and I am seriously impressed! This is the most expense 970 and it's well worth it. I was around the 35% range when running 3dmark with the old card and am now in the top 95%. The Firestorm GUI is really cool as well giving you lots of options for overclocking and monitoring temps and other stats with ease.

Cons: None so far besides a little extra work modifying my case to accommodate.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have plenty of room in your case and that your other slots aren't going to be obstructed by this monstrous card. My RAM slots were somewhat in the way when putting this hog in my only available PCI-E slot so I had to make sure they were still fully seated. I also had to cut out the lower unused hard drive carriage in my case. Well worth the extra effort to get this card in though.

5 out of 5 eggsworth it

Pros: Led lightning looks great, green/red, gives out illuminating glow under video card and bright led facing outside, great for cases with transparent side panel. OCed gpu to 1273 which boosts to 1500mhz, ddr to 7600mhz for daily clocks, stock 1203mhz actually boosts to 1430mhz, easily clocks higher. Card is well made, custom pcb, amazing OC potential, big 3fan cooler keeps temperatures low and noise down, firestorm software works great and is easy to use with profiles, fan settings, gpu-z like info etc.

Cons: its big so check for available space, needs two 8pin power connectors

Other Thoughts: those looking for EXTRA wipped cream, sugar, salt, butter, ketchup, crispy bacon and so on, this is the one gtx 970 that has it all

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Amazing performance per dollar ratio out there. This card in specific is a totally reworked 970. Awesome overclocker hit 1620 on core and 1970 on mem benchmarking and it never went over 60c after like 5 runs back to back of heaven and 3DMark it got up to 64. That is the highest I have seen from this beast

Cons: LOOONNNGGG Make sure the card will fit your case. That is the only con

Other Thoughts: Replaced 3 6970s with this card and the only thing they beat it at is one benchmark and that is 3DMark 11( X6665 Tri-Fire 6970s and X4805 Gtx970) but real world application in games there is no comparison the 970 is killing what ever you throw at it.

System Specs
i7 3820 @ 4.8
Sabertooth X79
Seagate 240gb SSD
PC Power Cooling 950 Gold
16GB Kingston DDR3 @ 1215MHz
Zotac Amp Extreme GTX 970 1556 core 1965 mem 24/7
Crossover 1440p monitor

5 out of 5 eggsWithout a doubt.

Pros: Run two of these in SLI now, in my opinion (from the performance of these and reading up on other cards) this is the card(s) to get. Extremely fast, popped them both up just over 1500mhz no sweat. They put off very low noise even with my side panel open. Destroys every new title i throw at it over 80-100fps easily in 2560x1600. Flawless choice. I'm glad i waited it out the extra time for this to release.

Cons: size? they are on the larger side for a 970. Really not a con if your tower/set up has decent room. ~ almost 12 inches long.

Other Thoughts: If you are like me before I purchased.. doing lots of research and debating, this is the card to get. Don't even bother with the 980 if you plan on running these in SLI, you will be shocked by the performance and OC ability. I came from CF 7950's.. monstrous upgrade... monstrous

5 out of 5 eggs980 power for a 970 price

Pros: First off, just want to say that this card is an overclockers dream. For 200$, this card can out perform a 980 with minimal effort to the clock. The cooler it comes with is great, easily allows me to push the clock speeds up past 1600 with no tear and not much of an increase in temperature. Don't even bother buying a 980 (even the better manufactured types that will be released shortly), this cards value:performance is the best we will probably see in a long time. An OC 980 can easily out perform this card but it's not worth the 800$ price tag (after taxes/shipping) that you'll be forking out. The card is larger than the other types (with good reason, it's an beast overclock card) but if you're upgrading from a 700 series card, you'll easily fit it into your case. Heat wise, you will rarely see this card spike at all and even throwing it through a 5 hour cycle benchmark OC'd to 1575mhz, this card never peaked above 70C. My case is a Thermaltake V3, and for those of you who already know the case, it's not the biggest thing out there. One intake/exhaust is all I currently use. That's how amazing this card is, even with standard ventilation, it runs silently (your case fans or cpu fan will be heard over this, even under a full load) and keeps stable temps.

Cons: Still haven't managed to get it to make my breakfast yet.

On serious note.
-Currently the most expensive 970
-Need some extra leg room to fit it in a med/small case (just grab the omega or stock if you're worried about size)
-Although I haven't experience this problem at all, a lot of day 1 970 customers are reporting cooling issues and coil whines. Haven't experienced this issue but just in case, wait a week after more people begin to test out there new extremes.
-Brand new model for the 900 series, may have been rushed production. Again, I haven't experienced this
-Where's my bright orange lcd's? (ode to the old zotac cards looking like there were sponsored by home depot)

Other Thoughts: If you're willing to spend an extra 50-70$ to grab the best 970 then I suggest you buy this. Zotac has good customer support, more than understanding for faulty cards, etc, etc. Currently waiting for my 2nd 970 to be delivered, SLI benchmark for these cards is amazing, and much cheaper then sli'ing 980s.
