AMD PowerTune & ZeroCore

It's important that great performance and great image quality don't come at the expense of a high power bill. GCN Architecture products feature reduced power consumption in the "idle" state. By dynamically managing the engine clock speeds based on calculations which determine the proximity of the GPU to its TDP limit, AMD PowerTune allows for the GPU to run at higher nominal clock speeds in the high state than otherwise possible.

Secure Boot
UEFI Secure Boot was created to enhance security in the pre-boot environment. Without UEFI Secure Boot, malware developers can more easily take advantage of several pre-boot attack points, including the system-embedded firmware itself, as well as the interval between the firmware initiation and the loading of the operating system.

Fast Boot
When you turn on the computer, the first thing that happens is the system's firmware boots up and gets the basic computer hardware ready for the operating system. On a modern Windows 8 computer, the establishment of the hardware session is a much quicker operation than on older systems because the UEFI system is much more efficient than the BIOS system. To complete the hardware session, the operating system enumerates all available hardware and loads the appropriate drivers, thus ensuring that a solid hardware session is available.

Once the hardware session is ready, the operating system begins its resume operation. Since the resume operation consists only of restoring the kernel session, rather than restoring both the kernel session and the user session, the resume operation can occur much quicker. In addition to this, the resume operation gets a boost from the fact that the operating system is now designed to take advantage of multiple CPU cores when it comes to processing the hibernation data file. (The old resume process only used one.)

Multi-Stream Transmission Hub

Connect multiple monitors through a single DisplayPort output

Radeon R9 280X RoyalQueen

Display devices have always been an integral part of the PC experience. Whether it is in the form of a desktop monitor, a notebook's embedded panel, or the touch screen of a PC tablet, display devices play a vital role in defining the users visual experience.

The Multi Stream Transmission Hub is a hub that can transfer a DisplayPort signal into three separate signals. Because of this, three screens can be added to your rig - and can even form an Eyefinity setup.

2 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for

Pros: Been using the card for about 2 months now. Performs on par with other r9 280xs, solid gaming at 1080p for AAA titles like BF4 and GTA V. Back plate is a nice bonus (unsure if only for rigidity only or also for cooling). Great price at time of purchase, price to performance ratio

Cons: First of all, worst coil whine I have ever heard from a gpu under load, not even exaggerated. Quite literally I was scared for my system after first installing the gpu and trying to play a game. Whine will get worse with extremely high frame rates, ex. nfs carbon with 200+ frames. Highly recommend using headphones, unless your hearing isn't that important to you. Secondly, temps are not as cool as I'd like. Idles at 39C and under load reaches 72C-75C in gaming (Plan on applying arctic silver mx-4 when i get time). Lastly, overclocking is mediocre at best. I have only been able to reach an over clock of 1100mhz on the core and 1525mhz on the memory with a slight voltage bump. Anything higher on the core would cause crashes and higher memory speeds would result in screen tearing on one or both of my monitors.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend if you want the best price to performance, use headphones and don't worry too much about overclocking or thermals.

1 out of 5 eggsjunk. beware!

Pros: nothing, it literally lasted all of 3 days

Cons: Wow, where do I begin. I had initially given this card a pretty neutral review, noting that the card was making a bit of noise under load. Well, I had been busy as heck with real life and had been unable to test it much over the last month and half since it was purchased. I took my last final today and planned on playing a bit with it finally. Guess what? It no longer boots at all. It is totally dead. It literally had 3 days of use on the card. I contacted newegg who said they could not RMA since it had been 30 days.

Other Thoughts: Definitely steering away from newegg in the future. I am truly disappointed by both this card and newegg. I have been with newegg since 2006 and they did literally nothing to assist me in this matter other than tossing me to the manufacturer.

3 out of 5 eggsAmazing performance, but the loudest scariest sounding fans

Pros: Card benchmarks very well, beautiful, fluid graphics performance. materials quality is top-notch.

Cons: Fans sound like they are about to explode the second you run any video benchmark. The whining sound can literally be heard going on and off the minute the benchmark begins and ends tests...I am afraid this card may not last in the long run. I am not RMA'ing it yet but I am going to run it hard to make sure its going to hold up.

Other Thoughts: Its a shame something such as simply the FANS could ruin the review of an otherwise excellent-performing card...

5 out of 5 eggs3x these = a good time

Pros: i have had these running full blast for 2 weeks without a hiccup. 1000w gold tated psu is sufficient for 3. i also have 2 xfx 280x's on the same system running off of a 750w gold rated psu. all have the same specs and play well together. as for gaming, i have no idea as i game with a pair of xfx r9 290's crossfire. oh, and the back plate looks sweet!

Cons: ran a little hotter than the xfx cards. so i put prolimatech pk-3 thermal paste on them and all is well now.

Other Thoughts: 690 khash/s

1 out of 5 eggsBAD QC

Pros: Performs AMAZING, runs Battlefield 3 & 4 @ 1080P on ultra.

Cons: Died 45 minutes after installing drivers.
Worst coil whine I've ever heard

Other Thoughts: Installed my drivers, which recognized the graphics card as a Radeon HD 7900 series. Then went to play Battlefield 3. Played for approximately 45 minutes to an hour tops, and the game froze while playing this horrible digital noise through my headphones. The screen tore at that moment and immediately went black. I turned off my computer and let it sit for a minute or so and turned it back on, no display.

5 out of 5 eggsUpcoming Club3d - Good GPU

Pros: Fantastic performance, bought 6. All perform as expected and overclock well. See other thoughts for more details.

Cons: Questionable warranty/RMA procedures. Club3d refers you back to retailer, Newegg has 30 day exchange only.

Other Thoughts: They overclock to 1050 stably and will overclock higher to 1100 with a slight bump on voltage. Memory doesn't fare as well as performance drops off after the 1.5ghz threshold. These are Elipda memory cards. Temperatures at full load at at 1050 clocks are 70-73C. Very impressive.

Club3d has been around for a bit, but is still relatively unknown compared to Asus/Gigabyte/MSI. After seeing the fan failure issues with MSI and DOA issues with Gigabyte...AND the heatsink issues with Asus...Club3d hits a home run with these.

Would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: Matches clock speeds and crossfires with my 7990 with no difficulties at all. Has run flawlessly since install. temps have been adequate. Getting around 70 gaming at full load, mid 80's mining, (It is with a 7990 in the case next to it)

Cons: Ugly price gouge, should be at least 100 cheaper
Getting free games with vid card is great. Getting a motels do not disturb flag to hang on my doorknob not the best incentive as a "gift" imo. But maybe im just an ingrate

Other Thoughts: Had never heard of club 3d making me very wary. In this first week though, its performed at and slightly over my expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent design!

Pros: Best thing about it is the recessed fans. Some of the other cards don't have this and it can be problematic in SLi or X-Fire. All in all this is a very nice card especially for LTC mining.

Cons: Just the price. If it were on sale that would have been better
