NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses Only Model 942-11431-0003-001

Pros: I only have it one day and did not use it.

Cons: none

Pros: If you have ever seen a hologram in real life, you would understand how the 3D technology might feel. However, this is with moving pictures and games which makes it that much better.

Cons: None with the glasses themself.

Other Thoughts: If you are buying the 3D technology for a certain game, I would recommend checking the 3D rating. I would not recommend buying it just for one game, if it is rated Fair or lower. Also I tried this with a 570 GTX and 680 GTX on Guild Wars 2 on a Asus 27" 3D ready monitor at 1920 x 1080. The 570 GTX never dropped in PvE, but in WvWvW PvP where there were 40+ people it did drop 3-7 FPS once in a while, while using 3D. The 680 GTX never dropped in any scenario yet.

Other Thoughts: First time 3d pc experience. I didn't know IR emitters are required. thought that the 3d ready monitor is was ready but a ir emitter is required. Some have them built in. for those new to 3d make sure your monitor or tv has a IR emitter. If not you need to get the glasses kit with one. they arn't sold seperately.

Pros: I have used the original 3d vision glasses for about 2 years now and these are so much better. My pros list:

*Fit over glasses really well
*Top of glasses touch forehead so less light enters from the top
*slimmer sides so they fit better with headphones
*the larger "glass"area is awesome
*lenses not as tinted in not powered on mode which means more light when using.
*just look better

Cons: I have not used them very long, but one thing i have noticed is the edge of the earpeice that touches the top of your ear is a little sharp and may cause discomfort depending on what kinda mutant ear you have.

Other Thoughts: If these are anything like the original the battery should last for about a week to a month between charging depending on use. Battery life is awesome.

With the original 3D Vision glasses I had to tilt the earpeices up to go over my headphones. this caused a weird (somewhat minor) effect with the polarization of the lenses and the screen. It also made a bigger gap between the forehead and the top of the glasses which let more light in = very bad. The 3D Vision 2 Glasses solve many of these problems.

Play Arkham City in 3D. Its the best 3D game out there (Arkham Asylum is a close second). Other great games are Trine, Trine 2, Civ 5, Limbo, LA Niore (looks amazing runs like garbage), and Testdrive 2 unlimited. Bulletstorm and Battlefeild 3 look awesome but i find fps games kinda suck because of all the focusing you have to do.

Pros: Bigger lenses and brighter than the old ones for sure.

Cons: My ears are right where the rear nubs are and I think they will interfear unless I can keep the bridge against my brow.

Other Thoughts: Improvements are for the gamers that wear the 5.1 headsets mostly. I would wait to uppgrade to gtx 680s if your comming from gtx 480s. I have two gtx 480s and it 3ds skyrim beautifully.

Pros: LIGHT, BRIGHT, TIGHT, THERE ALL RIGHT:)

Cons: WOULD SELL FASTER AND THERE WOULD BE A BIGGER DEMAND IF THEY WERE CHEAPER. 4 PEOPLE TO A FAMILY WOULD HAVE TO DISH OUT 450 FOR THIS:( ALSO THERE WOULD BE MORE MOVIES THAT ARE 3D.

Other Thoughts: NEVER GOT THE FIRST ONES. SO MUCH DEPPNESS TO THE PICTURE. IF U WATCH FOR HOURS THEN GO BACK TO 2D. YOUR BRAIN WILL TRY TO THINK ITS 3D < THEN U WANT TO PUT this back on.

Pros: Bigger lenses than the first gen glasses. More confortable on the bridge of my nose so I can play longer in comfort. Works with regular 3D Vision monitors as well. Combined with a 3D Vision 2 monitor is a great experience, much brighter. They fit nicely under headphones too.

Cons: None.

Pros: It's needed if you have the Asus 27 3d monitor which bring only one, it's very comfortable and stylish.

Cons: The price but that's normal for a 3d glasses but at least being version 2 is great.
