Other Thoughts: Sure i didnt need it, but i wanted it. It just tops off my first expensive video card I ever bought.

Pros: Looks good, Works with the EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblocks.

Pros: Fits as it should (installed on EVGA 04G-P4-2983-KR GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0)

Screws were included (inside a little bag in the bubblewrap)

very easy to install.

Cons: There are two additional protective plastic sleeves on the underside of the card; one under the "V" and one under the "GA".

These are to be kept in place (instructions dont explain this at all and may lead to people removing them) to protect the electrical components from contacting the backing plate and shorting out.

On my card two soldered connections are a hairs breath away from contacting this protective plastic sleeve, showing the importance of leaving them in place, however; leaves me worrying one day it may short out.

The plastic sleeves are visable after installation, and looks unpleasing in an open build, seems like an after thought.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why they claim these will reduce heat by up to 3 degrees since there is no heat dissipating aspect to them however it is clear that even with all the breathing holes heat will be trapped under and in the backplate itself , on a single card my temps raised by 1 deg and in SLI the temps rose by 3 deg on the top card and 1 deg on the lower card.

not a big deal, i didnt buy them to lower temps as these cards do not have any temp issues but not what was advertised

Pros: It fits perfectly and it adds protection and beauty to an already great card! Recommend it 100%.

Cons: $3+ shipping but that's not a con for the product. :)

Pros: makes the video card sturdier and does help with heat dissipation. very easy installation as well. nothing really more to say.

Cons: should've come default with the video card like other manufacturers.

Pros: Great for my cards, just got 2 EVGA 980 GTX SC ACX2.0 cards. Supposed to lower temps a few degrees

Cons: Instructions say to remove screws from card and then attach backplate with the 'Screws Provided" not the ones that have been removed with both of the blackplates that i got did not come with any Screws Provided.!!!

Other Thoughts: My new cards get on monday, and I have no idea if these backplates will even work now without the "Screws Provided"

Pros: Nice quality, adds that extra bit of rigidity that should be there for this heavy card

Other Thoughts: easy to install

Pros: The backplate makes my graphics card looks complete. Again, the temperature has reduced by a tiny bit. I really like the looks of the backplate. Very simple design.

Cons: This should have come with the card. Other vendors are providing it so why is EVGA not doing the same. I will really take this in consideration when updating my GPU.

Pros: Very nice looking with beautiful finish.

Cons: None, other than maybe the card should've come with it to begin with?

Other Thoughts: Haven't seen any significant (or minor for that matter) temperature drop after install, but I wasn't expecting it in the first place.

Pros: Matte black finish. Machined nicely; quality product. Strengthens the card and protects the back of the circuit board.

Cons: Should be included for this level of video card. I have bought lesser cards from EVGA, which had the backplate installed.
